Laura reached out to me to help me with mortgage advice. I made it clear that I am trying to get the whole AIP process complete as soon as possible as there is already a property I would like to purchase from Bairstow Eves. Laura was great with communication initially but was extremely slow with the research process as she would say she’s too busy or would be away on holiday. She didn’t attend our last meeting with no prior notice or apology after. She asked to set up a meeting a week later and when I asked what the timeline will be, she didn’t reply to the email and has been no contact since. Incredibly unprofessional and simply wasted my time.

Very poor customer experience.
Booked a number of viewings within the town with the company and was very excited to get in and view. 1 day before the viewings one gets cancelled and i am asked to move another. I said no as i have booked my time in all day. This was accepted at this point. Please note the viewings for the properties with Bairstow was the first to go into my diary (I planned my day around their availability)
Expecting a finical services call - this never went ahead as i was never called.
On the day of the viewings I was called by another representative demanding I move my viewings seemingly to make her day easier.
If I am looking at house through your company I would expect them to 1 be able to coordinate their diary and 2 have respect for a potential customers time.
I am extremely frustrated about this and think the is a very poor reflection on how they conduct themselves.

Should you have any jaded preconceptions about Estate Agents leave them at the door when you enter Bairstow Eves Maidstone Office. These guys are true professionals.
Stephen, Hannah and Tom, in the order I came to know them during the course of our sale, are truly "the dream team".
True professionals from start to finish, they have complimentary skills and work together in a cohesive and proactive way.
Buying and Selling houses is a challenging process in England and never more so than during the C19 Pandemic. I truly could not fault the conduct of the Bairstow Eves team. They were "on it" at all times and when things got tough, as they inevitably do in this process, the tough as they say " got going ".
I cannot fault them and would recommend this firm without hesitation.

I was house hunting over a six month period and Bairstow have been exceptionally helpful over the entire time. Tom was welcoming and professional and the other members of the team; Hannah, Haven & Stephen never failed to return calls or push property that didn't meet my requirements. Circumstances meant I didn't end up buying through Bairstow, but it wasn't through any lack of effort on their part. They did however, help arrange my mortgage DIP and financial advice on the property I am now purchasing. So thank you!

I unfortunately did not buy my house from Bairstow Eves (I wish it was up for sale with them!) however I did use Tommy Jackson for my mortgage. Tommy was absolutely incredible from the moment I enquired through to completion. He was always on hand to answer my emails and even took the time to reply to me on Christmas Eve! I was really nervous about the mortgage application as I am a first time buyer and we had some issues with the property, but Tommy reassured me the whole way through and made sure that I understood everything properly. I am so glad that I used their services and I wish that the agents my property was advertised with would have given me the same level of service that Bairstow Eves did!

Would recommend.
Had 3 agents value my house. Wards went on and on about internet advertising and fancy brochures. Also had to pay for professional pictures which when totalled up, came out at a fee which was almost double than the competitors. I did not find them particularly polite when I called their office either.
Page & Wells showed no confidence. Down valued the property and then recommended taking a £10k offer under their valuation.
Tom at Bairstowe Eves valued my house. I found him polite and easy to deal with. Upon instructing Bairstowe, Steve got me an offer within 24 hours of it being on the market. Steve is a polite gentleman and kept me up to date all the way. It shows that a successful agent is a proactive agent. Most agencies just rely on displaying fancy pictures on the internet. It's reassuring that the art of salesmanship is not quite dead yet. Big thanks to Steve Cunningham.

Promised dedicated member of staff, didn't happen! Complained to Tom Botting, he just passed it onto Head Office, despite being a regional manager and the corporate website informing the branch should attempt a resolution. I paid 1.75% because my property was 'cheap'. Told them to reduce price as too high and no interest, they didn't believe so. Eventually taken down by 5 thousand, sold in a week.
Sales progressor only works Monday-Thursday, promises to update you every week, but if not, the next week... I had to chase. She was then removed from my case to be handled by Hannah, who then went on holiday the next day. Couldn't update me on the latest despite me knowing the buyer was using their in-house conveyancing team.
I've read a previous response from Scott saying to a reviewer 'sorry you felt the need to post this' sorry, do you only want glowing reviews, Scott? Do you not like when people say a bad word! Or, do people deserve honest reviews from people that paid you a higher % than others?
No communication in branch, had to inform 3 different people of the same information on various occasions multiple times. Every form or request was full-filled by me within 2 hours. Took them 28 hours to respond to 3 emails in regards to solicitor chasing for them to pass on information regarding completion.
Never took on board my wish for completion date despite bringing them the property! Uploaded pictures without my approval... only Hannah was helpful throughout, however as clearly documented all staff emails became rather blunt after complaint was raised.
Complained and got the generic response, they must assume most people just give up on, however raised my complaint with TPO, they've reviewed my application and are now doing a full investigation... which they wouldn't just do for a laugh would they!
I'm not hiding behind some obscure name or wishy washy review, terrible service given by people that seem to think they are better than you! Estate Agents have always had a reputation of being... well... not bothered about you. They only care if your house costs over £350,000 because then it makes the commission that little more worthwhile.
Oh, and if you get we're a proud member of TPO don't see that as anything, only about 30 estate agents in the whole country aren't... and that's because they are super dodgy!
It's a shame the by laws exist on Earl Street otherwise we may have had a better establishment take over, maybe a Krispy Kreme would do well!

We also used the in-house conveyance team which made everything easy and as smooth as possible. I would like to thank Hannah for helping us through the process as she assisted us every time we requested to view our new home, took over the role of providing us with regular updates and arranged for external services to carry out some work before we moved in. We would recommend using this team for buying and selling homes.

Over promised dedicated estate agent, promised sales progressor to have weekly updates, however had to chase every week for an update, only to be met with an out of office or a response of 'they are awaiting queries'. On multiple ocassions I stated the price was too high hence no buyer. Within one week of reducing... sold. Never worked to my timeline despite bringing the business to them. Regional manager is also the branch manager, who talks to you in a way that feels so un-genuine you'd think he was a cast member in TOWIE and I were his frenemy. Complained to the store manager but didnt even try and resolve, head office say that they did what was contractually obliged... almost like going to nandos and being told no chicken or peri peri sauce, but we do have a nandos salad. Because I thanked them for answering my questions they regard my service as satisfactory. One of the most stressful situations I've ever been in and I'd dread other people's experiences being similar. Also to note they try and sell you sky tv on multiple ocassions despite having 'no incentive'... maybe use that time to sell my house!

I've recently sold my house through Bairstow Eves. The original sale experience was brilliant... the house was under offer within 3 days of the house being listed online which was far sooner than we thought it would be. Andrea, the move co-ordinator is brilliant and kept driving the process forward throughout the transaction.
The only negative I experienced was with the Conveyancing Team that was recommended by Bairstow Eves. We experienced a few issues with them during the process.

My partner and I completed on our very first home in August and thanks to the team at Maidstone Bairstow Eves, the process went smoothly and took the stress away from us. Having offered on previous properties through different agents, I began resenting our property search due to the hoops I was made to jump through and the overall complexity of the process of buying a house!! When we saw the property through Bairstow Eves, Haven Le-Core explained everything to us on the viewing and actually reassured me as a first time buyer. We decided this house was the one and offered immediately. Due to the fact our mortgage promise had expired, we went in to speak to their advisor who managed to beat the previous rate we had been offered! Tom Botting sat with us and explained the steps going forward, something that no other agent had taken the time to do. Our offer was accepted and despite a complicated purchase, the whole team were able to answer my questions and guide us through the process. We are now home owners and I cannot recommend this agent enough. Very positive experience, bought a house through them which completed in September. Was a more complex purchase than average and took a long time for various reasons throughout a long chain. The team at Bairstow Eves kept on the case for us and went, in our opinion above the call of duty at times and kept us well informed. Lewis in particular (as he was our point of contact) was always very helpful and always got back to us even when there was nothing to tell, but I would rate the team in general as when Lewis was unavailable someone would always help - including the branch manager.
