We used Bairstow Eves to sell my mother’s house in Selsdon. From the beginning, they were professional and efficient and found a buyer pretty quickly. Unfortunately this sale fell through but they were successful in finding another buyer and were happy to handle the viewings with minimal input from us.
Alison was our contact point at Bairstow Eves for this sale and throughout the process, communications were excellent. There were a number of frustrating delays between the conveyancers but Alison was relentless in moving the sale forward, constantly chasing all of the parties and keeping me updated. She was not only a sympathetic ear, but took action to overcome any problems, right up until the day of exchange (which would have been much later if it hadn’t been for her efforts).
I am happy to recommend Bairstow Eves in Selsdon and am grateful to Alison, Nicky and Chloe for all their help and support in managing our sale through to completion.

The team are just great and effective. Especially Chloe who is always brilliant, patient, helpful and very professional. I can honestly say she's the best I've ever dealt with. High praise from an institutional real estate investor.
She never wasted my time with unsuitable properties, always answers my calls, chases the council and professionals to get deals over the line.
My lawyers loved her! (that never happens)

The team at Selsdon are the most professional down to earth hard working and honest estate agents I have ever worked with. They got our flat on the market quickly and had it sold with in 2 weeks from the second person who came to view it. They helped us with absolutely everything from solicitors to finding us the right morgage through there in house morgage broker and was all done on time and at a great price. Some people say “estate agents are pushy and aggressive and you don’t need them theses days” I say well you obviously have never worked with Bairstow Eves in Selsdon

I would like to write this review to thank and praise the hard work and commitment shown by Alison Abel and Chloe Gledhill at Bairstow Eves Selsdon. I just can’t thank them enough. Alison was just fantastic. She was calm, professional and extremely supportive considering I wasn’t even her client. I was the purchasing vendor for her client.
Alison was always on the end of the phone for me when I needed support, or if I wanted something clarified regarding the property I was purchasing. She was professional in terms of how she recorded everything to ensure nothing was missed.
The whole process took around 3mths which I feel is really quick, and I feel Alison played a huge part in this as she chased solicitors, followed up emails, and phone calls and liaised with myself to ensure that I was kept updated and happy with everything being said to me and sent to.

Alison worked so hard on every aspect of our sale which was towards the end a tad turbulent to say the least. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone in the Selsdon Branch. Would I recommended yes without a shadow of a doubt
My only complaint which is NOT about Bairstow Eves its about Coutrywide Conveyancing (the connected legal service) I personally would not use that service again. To say the service was slow is an understatement (5 weeks before my file was even looked at). Having said that I have read many fantastic reviews we were just very unlucky with our original solicitor and that can happen with anyone.
Main thing is the sale completed and we are all in our new homes and that is only thanks to Team Selsdon Baistow and their dedication

Since we last bought property 11 years ago the process seem to have become more complicated and fraught. Alison was the member of this hard working team who turned out to be something of a guardian angel- reassuring, chasing up enquiries and, most impressive of all, frequently working on our case during her days off from home. Towards the end of the process things got sticky and there was a risk of our seller pulling out. The calm reassurance we received from this team was a godsend during this period. We have now moved away from the area and we will not need their services again. To Whom It May Concern
Concerning the sale of my Inglewood flat.
The sale took place over the period from 6th October 2017 to 12th February 2018 (Completion date).
I am of the opinion that the reason it took more than 4 months for the sale to be completed was the number of questions (outside the standard ones), for example regarding Ground Rent (which is not applicable to the flats and should have been immediately obvious to the solicitors), and to the extremely tardy responses to these questions, particularly by Concept Property Management Ltd. (who nevertheless charged £390 for a “Management Pack” which had been estimated to be around £190). Also, when requested for information regarding the flat’s cavity wall insulation, Concept took around 3 weeks to inform the solicitors that they were unable to provide the information.
I would rate my solicitors as close to average. They got there in the end, but I feel that they could have done much more to push for quicker answers to questions and queries raised by the buyer’s solicitors in order to expedite the sale.
In complete contrast to the above, my Estate Agent, Bairstow Eves in Selsdon, was a shining example of the way in which property sales should be conducted. Thanks to the Branch Manager, Ms Nicky Jackson, who was of invaluable help in completing the many forms necessary for the transaction and, particularly, my Case Co-ordinator, Ms Chloe Gledhill, who really did push all parties for results and was mostly responsible for the successful achieving of completion on the agreed date. My strongly held opinion is that had it not been for the frequent pressing of the other parties by Ms Gledhill, the agreed Completion date would have been missed by some time. My gratitude to Bairstow Eves of Selsdon who I unhesitatingly recommend to other sellers.
