We were very impressed with our appointment to view a property (thank you, Robin). Thanks to Robin we enjoyed a punctual, warm, friendly, courteous reception and once over the threshold of the property, we felt that Robin hit the perfect combination of showing us around and answering questions whilst leaving us plenty of freedom to think, discuss and imagine ourselves as the new owners, how we would make the space work for us, etc. He showed plenty of enthusiasm, respect, sensitivity, genuineness and professionalism, without any off-putting, aggressive, hard sell, which is very much appreciated. The only other thing we can say is he deserves to meet his targets for the month..... (and we hope he doesn't get ribbed too much for this review..... Elliot!! ????)
We'd also like to mention that when we first stepped into the office, in Okehampton, we were immediately greeted with fresh-faced friendliness and enthusiasm from the team, which was delightfully cheering on a dull autumnal day.

It is very stressful, the not knowing who to choose out of all the estate agents out there, to sell your special place, home!
So where does one start, okay, look on the internet, or in newspapers, pages and pages, scrolling, looking, searching. Will any of them really, really care about your special needs, desires or treat you just like another client and not care either way?
All right, let’s choose 3 to come round, another stressful time for you (all the cleaning, tidying up, painting to be done), and give us a quote.
Here we are, 3 quotes ranging from far too low, did they not realize it’s our special place to, “how much!”, could it go as high as that? Is the housing market low, medium or are houses not selling at all?
Despair sets in, are we ever going to sell, how long is anyones guessing game!
Right let’s choose 1 estate agent. Nope after a couple of months, no visitors, no info from the agent, the photos they took of our home look too dark, nobody will want to come and look. Some do, out of curiosity, no one puts in an offer, time moves on.
Our home is sitting and waiting for visitors to appear, still clean and shining, do these people out there know, we are living here as well, not a show house.
Cancel that agent, choose the middle one, they sounded a bit more promising! Oh no!!, what a disaster, don’t bother with them ever again!
Out of options, in despair because at this time 6 months have gone by and nobody else has visited, not even the nosy ones lol!, hold on, we have not tried Bond Oxborough Phillips in Okehampton!
The agent is punctual, very professional, walks around and takes it all in, then we all sit down and chat about a reasonable price, where the housing market is at that time, what we can expect.
Right, at the appointed time, a couple of days later, 2 agents arrive to take photos and a video of our home, we are asked nicely to be out of the house for the time they need to carry out their business, so we go and have a cup of tea/coffee and of course a slice of cake, our nerves need this too, and chat on until we get called back.
The photos on the brochure are “wow, are you sure this was taken at our home”? The last ones were so dark, and yes I understand why you removed the blanket from the bed, it makes things look bigger, wider, never thought of that, excellent presentation!
Both the virtual tour and floor plans are better detailed, we are looking at our home with new eyes.
Within a couple of weeks we are getting people coming in to see our home, excited now, still no offers, but its early days we are told, give people time to look on the internet, compare prices, sizes, location, needs, wants, more people will come!? Yes, they did come, happy to keep everything clean and tidy now, sure of a sell at the end…
What?!, no, really, We Have Sold our Home!!! Yippee!!!
Thank you so much Elliott, Jess, Adam and Elle, without your much needed help and patience, we would still be waiting for that one special person to buy our home ????????????????

My experience of purchasing a house through BOP has been excellent.
Starting with the first viewing with Jess, the viewing was not at all rushed and Jess gave me space to look around whilst also being on hand for any questions. Any details that she didn't know, but I had asked about, were followed up by Jess on the same day. She then dealt with the negotiation between myself and the vendors when offering on the property.
Following my offer being accepted, Elle managed the sales progression and kept me and my solicitor updated regularly, whether we had chased or not. Elle was approachable and friendly throughout, and gave the sense that she cared, and sympathised when the process started to feel a little long!
I had another viewing with Adam prior to exchange. I didn't get to chat to him much as the vendor lead the way on the final tour but he deserves a mention, too, as he seemed just as friendly and professional as others noted above.
Finally got the keys this week and highly recommend BOP to others. Thanks for a smooth and relatively relaxing process.
