I don't know how I came to choose Breens Estate Agents, but it was one of the best decisions I made during what has been a long and sometimes stressful process.
My brother and I live in the North West, over 200 miles away, and we never met anyone from Breens in person. Despite that, they managed absolutely everything for us.
At the start, we were worried about how we would deal with viewings from so far away. Breens simply told us to post the keys and took care of the rest. Later, when the survey identified some work that needed doing, I assumed I would be trying to find tradespeople in Enfield from Manchester. Instead, Breens arranged for two contractors to visit the property, obtained quotes for us to choose from, oversaw the work and secured the property afterwards. We didn't need to travel down once.
There were many occasions like this throughout the sale. Whenever communication between the various solicitors became frustrating or unclear, Jack was always available, usually responding within the hour and helping to move things forward.
Pat also deserves a special mention. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble and he was always willing to help.
What sets Breens apart is not just their professionalism but their kindness. Selling a property from a distance while dealing with probate can be incredibly stressful, and having people who are friendly, approachable and genuinely helpful makes an enormous difference.
I can't recommend Breens highly enough. Sadly, I am unlikely to have another property to sell in the area, so I probably won't have the opportunity to use them again. If I did, they would be my first call without hesitation.

Hi there, and welcome to my honest review as a first-time buyer...
As someone who is extremely wary of estate agents, it gives me the greatest pleasure to be writing this positive review right now.
Breens in Enfield are the absolute gold standard for how estate agents should be. Patrick, Jack and the team looked after me so well, they gained my trust instantly, and I cannot thank them enough for all they have done to make an extremely scary and tricky process so seamless.
Having suffered financial loss as a student studying abroad at the hands of an unscrupulous landlord and estate agent, and having worked in the industry over a decade ago, I have always sideyed estate agents ever since, and therefore when it came to the home buying process, I understandably approached this with extreme caution.
When it came to buying a house this year, I had never even heard of Breens, so I registered my interest to buy with a few of the other local big names instead. That turned out to be completely redundant. I didn't view a single property through any of the estate agents I registered with initially. From a couple of them, I was consistently sent details of properties that did not match my requirements. One of these other negotiators outright told me I would never be able to find a house (which was really important to me) in the area, within the price range I was looking within, and very irresponsibly actively tried to encourage me to speak to their mortgage broker, to see if there would be any lenders out there willing to lend me more, "even if it was at a higher interest rate", I of course declined. Another passed on my details to their mortgage broker who hounded me repeatedly; I never responded, as I never asked for this. Bear in mind I had made everyone aware that I held a decision in principle, and already had my own mortgage broker.
When all hope was lost, and I had resigned myself to never being able to find and buy a house, that's when I discovered Breens, and let me tell you I am so glad that I did!
I was doing my usual late night search on Zoopla when there it was... the listing for my little house, that had literally just been posted by Breens earlier in the day. I called up first thing the next working day and spoke with Patrick, who arranged for Jack to show me the property. Making an offer was neither a hard decision nor process, thanks to these gents and the team. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and I really mean that. Their solicitor recommendations are solid, every single request to book in a survey was met with grace and flexibility. Everything was 10 out of 10 from start to finish.
I have now completed my purchase, and am starting my life anew as a homeowner. Something which has been a life goal of mine for some time now. Something which, when I'd all but given up, Breens made possible.
10/10 and ?????? I highly recommend!!!

From the very first viewing that my wife arranged, the team at Breens have been friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout our journey. Their communication was excellent, keeping us fully updated and in the loop between the seller and both solicitors.
There was a brief delay while the seller secured their onward purchase, which was completely understandable and foreseen. Overall the whole process took around four months from offer to completion. Which Breens estimated from the very beginning of this process.
A big thank you to Damien and Jack for their dedication and consistent support in helping us secure our first home.
Also to Breens staff, they all was so friendly and offering to help when calling in.
