Avoid at all costs. They moved me into a flat with no working plumbing which they knew prior to the start date but neglected to tell me, they ignore emails and texts, their staff gaslight you, they turn up at your home unannounced sometimes letting themselves in and I don't think I've been treated this badly by a company ever. Do yourself a favour and deal with landlords directly. This company is not worth the premium you and the landlord have to pay and they cause more issues than they solve.... Read more

I should have done this since ages ago, but here I am! I had a terrible experience with them, they rented me a previous room of their office which they made it a flat from 2021. Not insulated, part furnished not furnished, although it was super expensive, creepy basement, waited 5 months for the really small wardrobe, the washing machine was broken, the boiler was getting broken from time to time which I was repairing, the maintenance team left the door open to tne entrance house after they have been there, although no one was home and somebody could have entered to steal things. The entrance door was not safe anyway. After I complained a lot about everything and asked for the reduction of the rent because it was not being fair and I was paying a lot on bills because it was not getting warm enough and also a pipe broke for water and I paid 300 gbp for 3 months and couldnt get my money back. After everything they decided to kick me out from the flat, they sent a letter in my 7th month there. I was leaving anyway, but honestly terrible people, terrible agency!!!!! They deserve bad reviews everywhere if you ask me!... Read more

From the moment I showed interest In the property I have had a tremendous experience, I am overwhelmed with the communication and actual genuine employees I have dealt with , I feel like I am a talking to friends who care about how I am dealing with new premises and surroundings! Emily even bought me a plant as I had mentioned leaving one behind in one of our many chats! I hope I can stay in my gorgeous home forever ( with my plant trev!) I just want to thank the full team....and apologise to the removal company you kindly found me for the amount of lego they had to endure . I am so happy to be in a house....now..A forever home for me and my son.... Read more

My daughter and her friends are all second year university students. They were so excited to move into the flat but have had one problem after another with the apartment. The estate agent were rude, obnoxious and unprofessional. I have had to get involved throughout as they rarely respond to the students. The flat was filthy when they moved in. Furniture broken, smoke alarms not working, lights not working - the list is never ending. They have had to put up with engineers and handy men attending the flat to do repairs since day one. The latest is that the oven has broken AGAIN. When I emailed the estate agent and commented that the landlord clearly has zero respect for the girls and their wellbeing, the head of property management responded telling me that she was struggling to understand what I meant and that although the oven and one of the rings on the hob was broken, at least the girls could cook on the remaining rings. Completely disregarding that the majority of the food they have bought is for oven cooking only. Tenants - do not rent through this company. Parents of students - please ensure your children know how appalling this company are to deal with. I wish I had read these reviews before the girls signed!... Read more

Are you looking for an affordable well managed flat or house. Well Bricks and Mortar may sound ideal to you. But they are not. Me and a few friends currently rent from Bricks and Mortar. Here is our current situation. Note - We moved in during the covid pandemic. 1)Our flat was messy and damaged when we moved in. 2)A fair amount of our furniture was not complete when we moved in 3)Our landlord was in our flat when we moved in building the furniture 4)During our first week of tenancy we had new fire alarms installed, we were aware of the need to test but not new ones installed. 5) The landlord also visited multiple times a week for months, often without 24 hours notice 6)Renovations were carried out to the flat whilst we lived there, we were not informed of this requirement prior to moving in 7)New fire doors were installed, again we were not told about this requirement prior to moving in. 8)The new fire doors slammed shut a lot leading to sound complaints. To fix this B&M increase the tension in the door making it difficult to open 9)Most of the renovations were cheaply installed and damaged in the process (including the fire doors) 10)The landlord painted our front door without us knowing 11)Our property is currently up for sale, leading to visitation ,however, B&M rarely give us 24 hours notice 12)Despite having people visit our home, B&M refused to fix a blind for four months 13)A friend of mine currently has his wall moulding as B&M refuse to help and painted over the mould 14)Upon inspection alot of the 5 star reviews appear to be from B&M employees and friends...... And so much more.... Read more

A terrible experience! The letting agent was terrible at responding to requests for help when I needed it. They had no problem with sending it the landlord/representatives with less than 24 hours' notice that they are legally required to give. There were horrible problems with black mould, uncompleted tasks and general unprofessionalism from the landlord/letting agent. AVOID!... Read more

The agents or as they call them selves 'negotiators' are some of the most unprofessional staff i have ever had to deal with. I don't know how they can call themselves negotiators as there tactics revolve around extreme pressure and lying. We had this women show me and my friends round 3 places that looked like crack dens and then told us it was our fault they were so bad because we had left it to late. It was the end of September. They pray on the fact you're young and helpless. Do what i did and tell them to ram it. £150 for an admin fee is ridiculous.... Read more

Moved out of my flat in June 2018 to be told we had to pay extortionate amounts from our damage deposit for damage and cleaning that didn't exist. After talking with them the landlord decided to half the damage fee from 300 to 150 quid. Which I was told I would be receiving in October. I still haven't heard from them so basically have robbed me of my money which when you're a student you have little of anyway. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone lived with them 2 years and the problems we had just seemed trivial to them... one bedroom was completely mouldy for 4 months (I have pictures so dont deny it) their remedy for this was to paint over it which we told them wasnt good enough so then they decided to build a fake wall in front of the mouldy one to hide it. Also false advertisement is one of there main selling techniques. We were told our flat was fully doubled glazed before moving in to find out when we got there that the front of the house was but the coldest part being the back was only single glazed. So deal with this company at your own risk. (Yourmove are 100000% nicer and I now live in a lovely double glazed warm flat with no mould!)... Read more

Use this company if you want terrible service and none of your deposit back. Let's live here clearly takes advantage of students by taking as much money as they can get. We lived at our rented property for two years and looked after the house well. when we vacated the property lets live here tried to charge us for various issues that were already in property such as mould, a broken bed and scuff marks on the wall. I took this to the DPS and after a lengthy 4-month process (this because let's live here didn't return my phone calls and generally wasn't bothered) we got our deposit back. Even when trying to get a reference for a new flat Let's Live Here would not respond to my emails, slowing down the process to move into my new flat. (Which I rented off another company I would like to add).more issues accured while in the property also but I do not have the time to write them all down. I have only heard bad things about this company and would not recommend.... Read more

Terrible service, staff on the phone never could answer my queries about my rented property and I would be told they would phone back- I never received those calls. Also had problems with receiving back deposit due to their errors, deposits had been confirmed by the concerned deposit company however letslivehere failed to complete their part in the process, leaving me and my flatmates without our money for an excessive period of time. I am very disappointed and strongly advise anyone against using this estate agent.... Read more

Before going through this letting agent , check that they aren’t just advertising on behalf of another agency. This happened to us and they charged double the admin fee for just advertising the property... with none of the admin involved for them (paperwork for tenancy agreement, credit checks etc were done by the other agency). Once I challenged this, let’s live here refunded us half the money.... Read more

Stupidly this is the second year I have used LetsLiveHere and done so mainly for convenience. By all means there market share in Newcastle is incredible and own houses on pretty much every street. However, this is all great until you have a problem with your property. Reported damp around the house when we first moved in and was given a dehumidifier to "Solve the issue". In my bedroom especially this didn't really do much and on the first two times of reporting the problem an employees response was "Just open the Window", they ended up installing the smallest heater in the corner of the room which has not solved anything. I got quite ill and had to move back home. Came back up for my final semester and went to the doctors who said the room probably had a lot to do with the various health issues i was suffering. Reported the issue immediately when I started living in the property again and even though an attempt to reseal the window has been unsuccessful it is now virtually impossible to speak to the correct team in dealing with this. You will need to pay an upfront deposit of your monthly rent which is ensured "Majority of people will get this back 30 days after your rent" Expect a bombardment of the pettiest photos of your property when you move out and don't bank on getting your money back. When asking for compensation on problems caused by the house however nothing they can do. Make sure you take photos of absolutely every mark on a wall or stain on carpet before you settle in as without any of these you will get the blame. Absolute joke of an organisation and the standards set are hard to identify.... Read more

Honestly surprised at some of negative reviews. really fantastic & definitely the view I have they want what is best for tenanats & landlords. I take a lot of care about the property people I am renting & that seems important to them. I personally have had fantastic service & very much hope my tenanats enjoy the property they are in. I have to make special mention to Kieron who is been a star but everyone has also been helpful.... Read more

Lets live here are fortunate that I could only give them 1 star, because they provide a 0 star service. After we paid the non-refundable admin fee to rent our property the terrible customer service started; there was attitude on the phone and general incompetence at simple requests of information. We immediately regretted going with them and it only got worse. After a year of living in squalor, repeatedly reporting the same issues with the property that were never fixed and leaving the property in better condition than we left, we still got charged a cleaning fee - we had to give the property a deep clean when we moved in and gave it another deep clean when we moved out. You can tell they swindle everyone out of getting their deposits back. Only go with Lets live here if you're happy to get ripped off, there are a lot better letting agents in town.... Read more

Sadly can't recommend this one. One of the worst letting agents I've rented with. Firstly, their rates are extortionate, they're exploiting the fact that the university it right on the doorstep. They make is incredibly difficult to resolve any problems with your property, you literally have to call them constantly to get anything done as they are quite happy to tell you they'll call you later and never bother.... Just overall a terrible service, £150 admin fees per person for what! They tell you they will email you and they don’t. Basing theirselves next to the university is convenient but that’s the only thing that’s going for them. Unfortunately they are managing my property for the next year. I don’t recommend going with this company and I will be finding a different company next year for sure. They don’t have photos of the flat I’m moving into but photos of the other two flats... I hope the landlord realises this company isn’t good at all and finds another place to do his business with.... Read more

An unscrupulous, mercenary, unprofessional, rude, dishonest letting agency!!!AVOID! Students beware. Parents of young adults beware!!!! Do not rent a house or flat from this dishonest company. Be warned you will be ripped off by the owners and ignored/messes about by the staff. Stuart and Richard are two of the most devious, dishonest, unprofessional people I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They neglected to protect their tenants deposits with the government DPS which is a criminal offence!!! They left 5 students living in a house for a year which frankly ought to be condemned. 172 Heaton Park Rd in Heaton is not fit for anyone to live in. That house is a health hazard. My daughter and her student friends have had nothing but battles with Lets Live Here for the past year!!! The house was damp, the heating didn't work, smoke alarms were not working, slugs were running rife throughout the damp house, tenants became ill due to the state of the property, toilets leaking raw sewage through the floors on to the landing etc etc. All of these issues were reported to Lets Live Here and they did not give a damn! It took months for them to address minor issues. My daughter was paying to live in a hell hole!!! Do not trust these business owners at all. Do not rent a health hazard house from these vile people! You will regret ever getting involved with these unscrupulous people. All they want is your money. AVOID at all costs. Richard/Stuart please don't respond I don't want to read anymore of your lies.... Read more
