They took care of my property while I was letting it over 16 years and ensured that it was well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all the regulations. They also dealt with any issues or repairs that arose promptly and effectively. They found me reliable and respectful tenants who paid their rent on time and looked after the property.

Having viewed a rental property in Burton Latimer I was originally very pleased with the service I was provided with. Unfortunately, we were not successful in securing the property through no fault of the companies. I was advised another property in Burton Latimer would soon be coming onto their books and I would be called when this happened to see if I would be interested in viewing. I confirmed yes that would be fantastic. Again thinking wow such wonderful customer service.
The property then came onto right move but I had received no call. On the 19th July, I sent an email advising I has seen the property and would be interested in viewing if the landlord accepts pets. No response. I then sent an enquiry on right move on the 20th July, just to be sure it was received. No response. Fast forward to yesterday when I decided I would call about the property to discover the let has already been agreed.
Had this happened without the initial promise of being called when the property came onto the rental market, I wouldn't be as frustrated. But to be promised good customer service and then be ignored is not what I expected giving our initial fantastic experience.

Last year our mother died and left her home to my brother and I. Obviously, the ordeal of selling and settling the property and dealing with solicitors and the estate was not something we had experienced before. Both of us live overseas which made the communications with all involved parties slightly more difficult.
We visited Carter Williams during one of our trips over to the UK and had no hesitation in signing up with Lisa, Lauren and team, in order to start the house sale process. Our first impressions of the team left us in no doubt that we were in good, expert and enthusiastic hands !!
Then, after selling the place within a couple of weeks the solicitors who Mum had worked with for over 50 years informed us that they'd lost the deeds!!! So the first sale fell through.
Despite this and after another failed sale of the place (due to buyers reneging on agreements) Lisa, Lauren and team at Carter Williams persevered with a third, successful sale. We have finished the sale after a very seamless and smooth process.
We can't thank them enough. They stuck by us and have helped to make a difficult and tenuous ordeal into a seamless and positive experience. So many thanks guys !!!

I had no experience as a landlord and was renting my family home so their management of all the difficult and stressful parts was invaluable. Highly recommend! I rented from Cater Williams about 5 years ago and recently went to them to find a new rental. Although I didn't find a property with them I got a very thorough and professional experience from Steven who took me on a viewing and went through every detail. I have rented couple of properties in the Uk through estate agent, I found Carter William estate agent staff are cooperative for renting and selling property. During my 2.5 years at Northampton Town centre Alpha house property Tenancy, they have cooperated very well and promptly rectified the issue. At the end of the tenancy, they also returned our full deposit.
I highly recommend it for any property-related deal.

We highly recommend Carter Williams Estate Agents for their professionalism and perseverance, throughout what was a challenging housing market between November 2021 and March 2022. They were particularly proactive when obtaining viewings, and chasing interest - hands down beating the competition Henderson and Connellan (despite being in direct competition!)
Not only did they do the basics right (good sales pitch, communication correspondence and prompt return of legal paperwork), but they managed to reassure us when communication was restricted between us and the other party's solicitors. Steven the Manager, was in the property and looked after us on moving day by talking us through all aspects and ensured that we would be able to move smoothly.

We purchased our beautiful house through Carter-Williams and give our experience with them 4 out of 5 stars. We had Lauren Bosworth as our agent and she was brilliant so give her 5 out of 5 for all she did for us. Communication was brilliant, she always responded on time and nothing we asked for was too much for her. We also had some queries after the purchase and Lauren responded straight away, so fantastic after sales too. The slight issue we had was mostly when Lauren wasn’t around and other agents picked up, who provided very mixed and confusing information. Which at one point made us doubt we would ever be able to purchase our dream home. For this reason I can’t give Carter-Williams the full 5 stars but we did thankfully move into our lovely house and couldn’t be happier. My only recommendation to Carter-Williams would be to make sure all agents have some clarity on all cases or if they’re not sure, to wait till the agent who is dealing with them is back in the office before providing information that may not be completely accurate. Other than that great service and thank you again for helping us buy our dream home.

I've viewed several properties with Carter Williams and specifically with Steven. I could not ask for a nicer chap! Very attentive, super friendly, very knowledgeable about the properties he took me to, even with obscure questions from me! Gave me the time I needed to walk around and was happy to leave me to do what I needed to do without shadowing me.
Thoroughly recommend this company - and Steven - and would most definitely use again if I want to move again. He's found me my perfect home and I'm stoked!

For those of you who are in any doubt just how low on the social ladder you are when trying to rent a property, speak to these people.
I spoke to Stephen, and he kindly made me aware just how much more I'd needed him rather than he needed me!
It seems to be the way of a lot of letting agencies.
So just be aware, if you're thinking of renting. You are the lowest of the low. Stay strong!

We have just finalised a purchase through Carter and Williams. They are a brilliant team. They were also so quick to respond to any queries, super helpful and add a personal touch to each phone call. They made the process exciting when it was starting to become stressful by being genuinely excited for us when talking over the phone. Although 98% of our contact with the team was via the phone because of Covid restrictions, we felt fully involved in the process and felt like we knew the team well. The team were really good at chasing the solicitors on both sides of the sale which meant we barely had to. We are new to the area and Lisa took the time to give recommendations of nice things to do in the area. Steve and Tony dealt with many of our queries and chasing during the process, all very friendly and accommodating staff. I would 100% recommend Carter and Williams and will be using them in the future.

Over the four years, I owned this property Carter Williams found me another tenant, dealt with any problems with the property, took care of paperwork and collected the rent on my behalf. Fair enough it sold but Did nobody think to ring / email to tell me this to cancel my viewing ?!
It’s really not hard to communicate.

We hardly knew we were actually involved in selling our house. Carter Williams dealt with everything smoothly and efficiently it was totally stress free.
They never once rang us about any problems they just got on with it and took care of business. I would highly recommend them for buying and selling.it was a breath of fresh air compared to other agencies we had the misfortune of using in the past.
NOTE: BE WARNED ABOUT USING LARGE CHAINS...
A friend of mines son was working for a large group of local estate agents and they were purposely over valuing properties just to get the business. Only to find out that their property was hardly getting any viewings. Then ! if the agency had a bad month they would tell a buyer that the house had already been sold if they were not willing to use their internal Mortgage broker.
Carter Williams have not got the luxury of holding out their hands at the end of each month and getting paid their salary regardless.They actually WORK for their money it's not about corporate sales figures and who's the better branch in the chain !!!
You would be insane not to use Carter Williams .
A massive thank you to them for helping us buy and sell our houses over the last few years .Well deserved excellent reviews.

These guys have just about kept me sane during a nightmare move that to date has been going on for 8 months (yes you read that right) and they aren't even my estate agents! I've just transferred the management of my rental property over to Steve Williams of Carter Williams after having a bad experience with one of the bigger national estate/lettings company.
I was recommended Steve Williams by a friend and in my eyes a recommendation goes a long way.
I first spoke to Steve whilst I was having issue with my previous Letting agents, he was more than willing to spend his own time talking through the issues I was having and the processes i need to go through to resolve them and was always on the end of a phone if i needed him.
From that moment I knew that he was the right person to manage my rental property.
From the moment the management of the property was transferred over to Carter Williams it was advertised within a few days and Let within 2 days. He personally did all the viewings to make sure i had the right tenant for the property.
They even arranged for their team of contractors ( upon my request) to clean and decorate the property which happened just as quick as it did to re-let.
I would recommend Steve Williams /Carter Williams to any one. From the start they were professional, polite, extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of tenancy law and were always on the end of a phone whatever time of day.

Myself and my Fiancé moved into our new house on Friday 10th March and we are so glad we chose Carter Williams. What was a nightmare of a process, Carter Williams strove to provide A+ customer service and were the only people involved that didn't mind a phone call nearly every day of the week for the last month of the process.
We originally put the old property up for sale with Simpsons, but after failed timescales and even leaving the old property unlocked after a viewing, we went with Carter Williams and never looked back..
All members of staff were amazing and we couldn't fault them.
We cannot recommend this estate agent enough.
