What a find these two ladies were!!
I’d been looking for a new home in Bovey Tracey for some time and whilst I’d looked at several properties, none had ticked the box.
Then on the day my ‘now new home’ came on the market, Zoe called me, with excitement!! Two days later Rachel showed me the bungalow and along with me, agreed that it felt like we’d found my next home.
Both Zoe & Rachel took the time to get to know me, and understood what my priorities were. Every time they said they would call back or do something for me, they did.

We instructed Chamberlains in May 2023, after a sale was agreed on our house on 4 occasions and subsequently the chain falling through with another agent. Zoe and Rachel provided us with a quick and seamless service to get our house photographed and readvertised. They quickly found us a suitable buyer and from then on they worked extremely hard to facillitate the sale to completion. Rachel and Zoe are the kindest, most helpful and attentive professionals who offer the kind of bespoke service which seems increasingly rare these days. Nothing is too much trouble and their knowledge of the local housing market in Bovey Tracey is based on long standing experience. I have valued them enormously during the sale of my house and I would like to think friendships have been built during the process. I'm sure the directors of Chamberlains appreciate they have wonderful employees in Rachel and Zoe...but they deserve every accolade for their hard work and customer dedication. It is always a difficult time for children when their mother passes away and dealing with the resulting sale of their property. I have to say from our first contact with Zoe, for the probate valuation, through to the eventual sale of our mother’s bungalow, the whole level of customer service provided was excellent. Zoe and her team where always available for help and advice, keeping us updated throughout the whole process. In particular after the initial contact Zoe and her team gave us time and space to grieve and deal with organising our mother’s funeral. There was no pressure put on us at any stage of the process and the sale of the property progressed only when we were ready. Chamberlains both sold my house in Lower Brimley and found the house we bought and now live in, though the purchase was actually through Fine and Country.
I spent my working life in the Construction Industry and can honestly say that I have never had service from an Estate Agent as good as that we received from Chamberlains.
On both deals the Sales Team that we dealt with, being James, Zoe and Amy, were exemplary and the service they gave us exceptional; they could not have been more helpful.
And our special thanks and compliments go to James who, I feel, served his Client exceptionally well in difficult circumstances and equally served us exceptionally well as prospective purchasers. He undoubtedly did an awful lot more than one would expect from an Agent.

Selling house is mostly a frustrating and stressful affair, especially as in our case, when the decision to leave was not an easy one to make. We wanted to work with an agent who was trustworthy and non-pretentious who would interact well with potential buyers and keep us informed of progress along the way. Luckily we choose well first time, James Cooper from Fine and Country deserves our thanks and praise. When the going got tough dealing with a long chain, problematic solicitors and changing timelines, James was on the ball all the way. We found out that selling a house is more than ‘Rightmove’. Expertise, dedication and just sheer damn professionalism will never be replaced by algorithms and do it yourself agents. James earned his commission and our gratitude. We couldn’t recommend him more highly!

Never having bought or sold a property before I was extremely nervous about having to sell my mother's and our family's much loved home - luckily I picked the right people for the job! A friend recommended Chamberlains & she was right. Zoe offered the best rate & deal & explained the process every step of the way. She and Amy dealt with all the viewings & immediately reported any feedback. Zoe at Chamberlains is an amazing lady. Straight and to the point in such a way that you feel completely and utterly supported by someone who really knows their profession.
Zoe really and I mean really listens to what it is you want. She also has the ability to see the potential of a property when selling it on to the next buyer. She will come up with all sorts of amazing ideas that help the sale of the property.
No amount of questions is too many and she liaises beautifully with both vendor and seller to smooth out any bumps, for example issues with solicitors that slow things down or throw up problems.
Zoe really is the utmost in a buying and selling experience. All your questions are answered, usually on the spot because she has done her homework or soon answered as she will definitely find out. This has never been my experience with any other estate agent, a wonderful part of the service to experience as I always have a lot of questions and I do expect a good agent to know them.
The timely speed with which everything is dealt is another thing that impressed me as was the excellent communication she has with our solicitor, sales negotiator and so on, vitally important to ensure a smooth service.
House buys can be stressful as you have no control as the vendor or purchaser, however, things are a lot less stressful when you have Zoe on the team. I must also thank Jess who has been a part of this house journey and who has herself been a fantastic agent , supporting Zoe and dealing with us on many occasions. A delightful young lady who’s aim is to please.
I can thoroughly recommend Chamberlains to anyone who is thinking about buying or selling, you’ll be in excellent hands.

As a first time buyer, I wasn't aware how much is involved in buying a home. Despite the property being with another agent, as the onward chain involved Chamberlains - they were proactive and extremely impressive in getting the chain moving, whilst my agents seemingly ended their interest once the sale was agreed!
Considering there was no benefit to Chamberlains in getting involved in my part of the chain, James spent hours dealing with my solicitors and presumably others, to cut through red tape & delays threatening to turn a first time purchase into a drawn out nightmare.
Whilst the chain moving would I'm sure of benefited them I cannot thank Chamberlains enough for their refreshing approach to estate agency and actually understanding that a house purchase isn't just a transaction, they actually care about the people changing their lives!
