Charles Head have fully managed the rental of our flat for the last 8 years. We were new to renting a property and we have always found them to be very helpful. Never too busy to explain things to us and to help us when there was a change of tenant, advising us on how to improve the property to get the best rent and good tenants. Charles Head have managed a property that I have let, on and off, for variable amounts of time over the past 3 years. Jo Smith and her team, have provided a first rate, friendly and effective service throughout that time. They are always available to answer questions and they have always come up with creative solutions. We first approached Charles Head in 2022 when Amanda and Jo valued our property for sale and rental respectively. They were thorough, professional and efficient in that they were both informative and helpful without being in the least bit pushy.
More recently, we asked Jo to find tenants for the same property. In a remarkably short space of time, she drew up quite a long shortlist of interested parties, most of whom viewed our house and six of whom submitted very useful Statements of Interest. We were able to select a couple who have subsequently proved to be excellent tenants. Jo and her team (particularly Sally and Nicola) then advised us how best to prepare the property - EICR, Legionella Risk Assessment, chimney sweep etc - and kept us fully-informed about move dates etc.. They also drew up the Tenancy Agreement for us as well as organising an inventory.
All-in-all, then, they’ve done us proud. Hence, I would have no absolutely hesitation in recommending Charles Head wholeheartedly and without reservation.

Last summer we were looking to return to the UK from S/W France, and now consider ourselves most fortunate to have found Charles Head estate agents advertising a suitable property in Devon.
Alison and Jo were so informative, helpful and efficient, whilst having a great sense of humour, most useful when working with us first time tenants, they not so much went the "extra mile" as went the extra 1000 miles! Their help did not finish with the completion of our agreement, when we found a problem with the heating, their response was immediate, with the electrician arriving the following day closely followed by the plumber, all was repaired.
We cannot speak highly enough of their services and don't believe they could be bettered or that we could have managed our move as successfully without them.

We were selling our property with another agent and unfortunately are vendor did not have the best experience so they came to Charles Head for their support and advice. This was a long relationship that had been formed over several years. It resulted in one phone call and a couple of questions answered later, and fantastically our property was sold via the wonderful ladies Nikki and Alisha.
Their product knowledge and skill in realising exactly what we wanted resulted in a completion on our dream property.
They kept us updated always in a professional manner at all times and kept every conversation real and no overselling.
Alisha was completely integral and honest and never promised anything she could not deliver.
Both ladies kept their commitment to us and their vendor on track and continually updated.
I want to say Charles Head never received any payment from us as this was not who we were advertising our property with. They did this from a place of genius honesty and wanted to work with the local community.

My property was sold through Nikki Povey and her team for just under £3m. I had it listed in the previous 4yrs on and off with different agents, one was an international company, however, none were successful in finding a buyer. Within 3months of appointing Charles Head they had sold it. The team were all so professional, enthusiastic yet so personable to the point I felt like I was their only client! Nicola herself dealt with the viewings and the negotiations. The strength and confidence she radiated representing my property worked so well and I felt that she was working for both myself and the buyer with total dedication and intention to make it all happen.

I have come across Charles Head twice in the last 5 years, once when I was trying to let my property through Lisa, who was very rude, unprofessional and had a bullish approach. Since the company has been taken over they have improved their branding however from what I have experienced since buying is that the new owner doesn't have a clue what she is doing and has no experience in estate agency. Most of the team are friendly and are trying their best but there is a lack of knowledge and the young lady in accounts has an attitude problem. Research all the estate agents before using their services.

Buyers beware. This is the worst service I have experienced from an estate agent. Minimal correspondence and general poor customer service. Had to find out our above asking price offer was not successful and property had been sold via a relative looking on right move. Won’t use again.
