I would strongly recommend Luscombe Maye in Kingsbridge to anyone looking to sell their property. I tried selling my property previously with a couple of other local agents and found they like to overvalue and then point out problems with your property and want you to accept much lower offers. This never happened with Luscombe Maye, I never felt the feedback was negative just honest but always still positive. Elly is lovely, professional and always very positive. You will not find a more experienced and astute property adviser than Antony Stumbles at Luscombe Maye. His urbane charm and integrity bely the fact that, behind their old world courtesies, his team have an energetic resolve to get your deal done at the optimum price. They listen well but their advice is also candid and devoid of flannel.
My sale was handled by Elly Stevens whose attentiveness was exemplary. She showed very good judgement in moments of tension that were critical in keeping my sale on track. All this for what one must consider a very reasonable fee that seems to not fully value their contribution.
I made a conscious choice in asking Luscombe to represent me. They worked with me evolving a strategy and were communicative throughout. Most critically they had my interests to the fore at all times.

Moved down to Devon from Chelmsford. So back in March we were regularly coming down to view properties. We signed up with all the main estate agents in South Devon. One stood out from the others. That was luscombe Maye in kingsbridge. Gilly and her team were marvelous. Genuine and professional. No heavy sales process, good customer empathy with a little humour. Avoid Charles Wreford-Brown at all costs - in my experience not in the least bit unhelpful, seems to enjoy creating problems which don't exist simply in order to be confrontational and just generally very unpleasant to deal with.
