Stephen was a huge help in getting us across the line in our sale. Our buyers were the most unbearable awful people who threatened to pull out hours before we'd agree to exchange as we needed to extend our completion date by 4 days (change a Monday to a Friday). Thankfully he negotiated with them to agree to exchange and put up with the buyers horrendous mother who tried to jeopardize the sale for us and lose us thousands as a result.

Disrespectful place. I emailed and submitted a message on their website and got no response. I then called today. I asked to rent a three bedroom property. I tell them that I am the only one that will be living at the property on a permanent basis and that my parents will visit. Then they continue to ask "It's a three bedroom property so who else will be living at the property?". Totally disrespectful that they were not willing to take my word for it (and, of course, I understand that referencing and such will take place afterwards). My salary can cover the rent so it is not their issue. I suspect that the reason they did not believe me is because I am not white and have an accent.

Scott is extremely friendly and personable. He did a wonderful job of photographing the house and I enjoyed his diligent and professional approach. I had no concerns giving him keys and he went above and beyond when he kindly offered to take in my Hello Fresh delivery and unpack into the fridge while I was away. Only minor negative was, rather than supply hardcopies of the seller pack, I had to print at home myself but Scott did make the time to come over and collect. We were lucky in that we received an acceptable offer within the first week of listing, fingers crossed all goes well now to completion!

My partner and I have been renting through Beresford Ward for 6 years. Unfortunately over the years we have found the quality of the service they have provided has decreased, and we would no longer recommend the agency.
For the first couple of years repairs were timely. Unfortunately over the pandemic it took at least 6 months and lots of chasing to get an issue with the bathroom ceiling and fan fixed.
They have now been taken over by Campions letting group and the quality of the service they provide has fallen further. Today I received an email that my rent was in arrears. This was the first I heard that my rent was increasing, which is very stressful. Despite me receiving no prior warning I have been told I have to pay for this increase retroactively. I'm now having to contact citizens advice because I am concerned the agency isn't acting within the law.

Amazing lettings agency! Moved to the UK in 2019 and after less than 6 month we wanted to move to a house. No agency would accept foreigners with less than 6 months residency but they did! They jumped through so many hoops to help us, even managed to move us at the beginning of the pandemic. We lived there for 2 and a half years and had it not been necessary for us to move due to a family matter we would have stayed there for many years to come! Great help and amazing agency all together!

They helped me get out of a 'supported accomodation' supplied by the council and BCHA, where I was being financially abused, stolen from and bullied by other residents. Beresford Ward have always been so helpful taking time to ensure they understand our preferences and requirements from a property and showing us those to suit our needs. I moved into a property as a tenant. My landlords and Beresford Ward told me that building work would only be for a few weeks. I work nights and haven't been able to sleep at all due to the noise of contractors shouting, and working at my property during the day. I feel like Beresford Ward and my landlords have lied to me as the work is clearly ongoing and not going to finish soon. I don't think Beresford Ward are a very ethical company. Also when I moved into my flat it was not clean.

I am a currently serving member of the armed forces. I originally became a landlord by accident and through my job had to rent my property I became aware of Beresfordward through my father to which I placed my first property. Over the next year to 18 months the team secured me a further 3 rental property's to which they manage for me completely hassle free the drop of a email to let me know when my rents are due into my account. And the occasional maintenance issue and notifications of when my legal obligations in regards to gas certificuits and very boring stuff like that but the staff keep it easy and are a friendly bunch.
Now to my colleagues currently serving or have served if you have property in and around Plymouth that you need to let at a competitive rate then I would strongly recommend the team at Beresfordward as the first point of contact I'm sure you will get the best competitive rate around. I use my own maintenance contractors to which they fully engage with no problems.
Over all the team at Beresfordward are a helpful friendly bunch where nothing is to much no question to silly gives me the confidence to continue to build my port folio knowing I have a outstanding letting adgent that I trust to perform again and again.

These guys are absolutely fab. Can't recommend them enough! The staff have been friendly, polite, accommodating and helpful since my first contact with them. Nothing is too much trouble, James (who dealt with my rental property) was great, always replied promptly to any questions (and there were a few!) that I had prior to moving in. As for the fees, they have to be the most reasonable that I've ever come across! Everything was explained thoroughly to me and there were no hidden charges or unexpected extra costs. When I have encountered small problems with the property, they have been dealt with quickly, and Mark (director) has even taken the time to call me (which I feel is a great touch) and explain to me everything that will be happening to solve my problem. All the staff are very professional and I feel completely at ease with them. Thanks for making everything nic and stress free for me! Will be recommending you to all my friends and family :)

Easily the best experience for newcomers to the Plymouth market. They were the only agent to show interest in providing suitable properties and showing times that suited us. Whilst we viewed a large number of potential places to rent, we shortlisted down to two and both were with Beresford Ward. Sign up was easy and informative. I dealt with James for the viewing and he was prompt and helpful. In the afternoon when we went to start the paperwork James again was helpful and helped us speed through the paperwork very quickly - we managed to get from viewing to moving in in 2 days!
When we arrived to sign the contract James got us started even though we were early and then handed us over to Debra who finished the paperwork and we get everything completed quickly and without fuss.
We had an issue with the car park beeper as it ran out of batter but this was also sorted very quickly and without any problems.
I and my partner would highly recommend using Beresford Ward, the admin fees and reference fees are good, they are very helpful and quick. One of the best letting agencies I've come across.

Got my house on the market, found a tenant and managed the process from start to finish. When my first tenant put in notice to leave, a new tenant was found within a couple of weeks and all checks completed ready to move in!.
very pleased with the family structure of the firm, they clearly have a passion to ensure fair treatment of both tenant and landlord, and have a wealth of experience in managing these relationships.

Myself and friends have just taken on a property with Beresford Ward and I have found them brilliant! James was fantastic, we are all working and couldn't do a viewing until after a certain time and James said that he would do a viewing with us after hours. They have also been really good as we had a bad experience with another agent and they have given us some advice on what we can do next.

Great letting agents. I let from them once & then when the landlords had to unexpectedly sell they found me an even better property for my family & I when we were expecting our third child. We moved on a Monday & our baby girl was born on the Wednesday...Just in time!!!! Mark & the team were all very helpful throughout the whole process & I would recommend them over & over again!!
