Initial valuation and marketing price was provided by someone who works in another part of the county (Truro) and did not know this area as well as her own very large patch. Whilst the price may have been achievable, we only had one viewing. The local agent wanted to reduce the price after only a few weeks in order to draw the interest of more clients. We stated at the outset that the price offered needed to be realistic and that we would not entertain price reductions. Our main contact at this office in Plymouth, appeared to leave the company abruptly and we felt that there were problems within the Plymouth office. The administrator replied to emails promptly but we did not receive regular updates from any staff, and certainly nothing at all after we had refused to reduce the property price. We could not see how they could possibly justify their high commission rates based on our experience of their pure lack of activity, interest and expertise, once it had been acknowledged that the house had possibly been overpriced. We are very sad to have to post such a negative review. We had great confidence in them initially.... Read more

Stags did not cancel our appointment when the house we wanted to view had already accepted an offer and we were not informed. Drove 50 mins each way to see the house with my 93 year old father and we were turned away by the occupants. To be fair one of the senior partners did contact me and apologise. - Honestly I do think they should monitor their staff a little better.... Read more

The Ladies and Gents at Stags Plymouth have been absolutely fabulous during the sale of our smallholding and cottage complex. It is a stressful experience moving home and even worse when selling a business to boot. Not only did Stags ace the major job of getting what I consider to be the best price possible for the property but they also got the little things right like returning calls, organising viewings and photographers and keeping on top of the conveyancing process.
