The estate agent rented me a property without telling me the owner was selling. They gave me the wrong keys and had to look for the correct keys because they lost them. When I asked them to send me potential new flats to move to they ignored my email. When I moved out they gave the wrong name to the check out inspector, then I had to chase for my deposit as they did not even realise the person organising it was on leave and despite the flat being handed over after professional cleaners and gardeners they have still not returned my deposit 12 days later. Extremely incompetent, disorganised and I would certainly not recommend you use them.

If you're thinking of renting through Cluttons. DON'T!!!!!! Use any of the many estate agents on Upper Street. Our experience with Cluttons has been one LONG list of emails and painful conversations with their 'property manager' which lead to more frustration than resolution. They care about the sell and not about the after care. The only thing they seem to care about is pleasing the landlord and care very little about the tenant. Read the reviews before this one and take note.

I never write reviews but my experience with Cluttons was so bad I had to share it on here to warn others. I had a really awful experience with this property management agency. One of their landlords to whom we were renting from, insisted on carrying out a bathroom renovation whilst we were living in the property. We were forced to live in uninhabitable conditions for 2.5 months. There was no operating shower and we had to travel a mile every morning to wash at a leisure centre. We were in the property less than a year and upon moving out, to make matters even worse the landlord claimed almost 30% of our ridiculously high 3000£ deposit. We were respectful quiet tenants who were clean and courteous and the claims for compensation were bogus. It was a fraudulent and unjust act of pure greed to which Cluttons did absolutely nothing about, instead they claimed that the landlord was their client and as a result was their priority, completely overlooking our discomfort and dissatisfaction. I am currently in the process of bringing this landlord to court. This agency charges high annual fees and fails to provide any service to the Tennant. I strongly recommend you avoid this agency. You will not be satisfied.
