An initial summary ~ 3 Executors selling my deceased aunt's bungalow. Four estate agents vying for the property ~ Connells were not the cheapest, but the more professional by a country mile. From the board going up to final sale they have been nothing other than unbelievably helpful, especially with a vacant property and three Executors living miles away. Everyone we spoke to at Connells knew who we were, what we were selling, found buyers almost immediately and kept us in the loop regarding the sale either at our behest or off their own backs. I have to single out Nicola Pitcher for her work with us ~ nothing seemed to be too much trouble, day or night. She was a delight to work with and certainly made a potentially tricky sale so much easier for the three of us. A few niggles at the end with the buyers? ~ Sorted! We, as Executors, could have saved a few pounds here and there for the beneficiaries, but just so much easier to pay a few pounds more and get a professional service, which is what we received.
Would we recommend? Yes! Connells may be more expensive than other local estate agents, but I doubt you'd get the level of professionalism and service we received.

Agent Very responsive, but I only give 3 stars due to I was told when people came round the comment it needs work this I believed would be major work but it turned out to be some decorating which I completed in a week. also after one visitor with children some of the wallpaper was ripped off in the second bedroom when a Connells agent was present?

We were unfortunate enough to buy our property through Connells Blaby. I cannot speak about all the staff at the branch but certainly the ones we dealt with had a terrible telephone manner, were very rude throughout, pushy, and towards the end we felt harassed and not very keen on answering the phone to them. They were pushy about us talking to their mortgage advisor in order to make offers etc which is against the law as far as I am aware. They were very unpleasant about our own estate agent, who we think had done an excellent job. Overall, very unimpressed.

We called Connells to discuss one of the properties they had available and to arrange a viewing. We were advised that the market was moving quite quickly and that if we did like the property that having a value on our current property would help us to be in a position to move should the viewing go well. Certainly sensible and this didn't feel pushy.
Molly arranged a time to visit us to measure up and put a market appraisal on our property and was very confident and helpful covering the 99 questions I had about the process of moving!!
The valuation hit all the right numbers that we had hoped it would, but certainly higher than we genuinely expected as we had been watching sale prices for months - not masses, but 5-10k higher even at the lowest suggestion.
Viewing the potential property went fine. While not at all for us, inline with the value suggested for our property, we felt like the market was being pushed upwards.
We still get updates by email from Connells but at the moment we aren't planning anything else. But based on the perfectly pleasant, professional and helpful staff we wouldn't hesitate to call them should our situation change.

I found the communication with the sales agents did not live up to what was promised on the initial meeting to put my property up for sale. I did feel the fees to be very expensive for the service provided especially when it felt like I had to do all the phoning and chasing to find out what was happening. On several occasions when I called the sales agent was unavailable/busy, so a message to request a call back when free was left, the call back was not received so had to call back myself. In a nutshell a lot of promises made but never fulfilled and lack of communication. Would not use Connells again...!!

We are trying to buy a New build house with no chain on either side in Croft through Connellss since June 2019. We only saw the house once, it was shown to us by Jodie, a very nice agent. We wanted to arrange a viewing of the house again after our offer was accepted in July 2019. It turned out that Jodie no longer works there and that the entire development has been taken over by the office in Hincley. Calling the office in Hincley, I was informed that they are not sure who will deal with this property and that someone from the sales team will contact me. Nobody ever did. We were very confused because the days went by and we didn't know where to call or who to talk to. A small developer built 14 houses. In June 2019, we had a firs viewing of the house we chose and I’ve noticed that only 2 families lived in their homes. Connells probably had problems with the sale of these houses because after some time the developer changed the agency and unfortunately, the house we are buying was probably the last house that the Connells agency is selling. The first thing we needed was a reservation form from the agency, they have sent us an incorrect document three times! And finally when we got the right document, it turned out that the informations on it are incorrect. Someone has just copied other people's document and done a change of our names on it. Communication with this agency is very very very poor. 27.01.2020 at 12.55 I called the agency asking to view the house we have been trying to buy for 7 months! I was informed by Harriet once again that the agency has no keys and my solicitor must contact the developers solicitor. So I did, my solicitor contacted the other side for a request to access to the property for a final viewing before completion. 28.01.20 Harriet was supposed to contact me regarding this matter. I called the agency at 2.47pm, a polite Male agent, can’t remember his name, said that Harriet was on the phone and could not talk, he took my name and number to pass to Harriet . I called at 4.09pm, Nicole had answered the phone and said that Harriet was busy and would call back later. At 5.12pm I am calling for the last time, Nicole has answered and spoke to me in a very unpleasant manner. She said that they have NO KEYS! CONTACT YOUR SOLICITOR! I asked why nobody got back to me I was waiting all day for the call? She shouted at me THERE ARE NO KEYS, WHY WOULD SOMEONECALL YOU BACK IF THERE IS NO KEYS! ? I asked if she was arranging the keys for another day and she replied that they do not have time, they are fully booked anyway and they would not show me the house! I thought I would throw my phone against the wall ! She made me so freaking angry! I’ve just hung up on her. Lack of professional approach to the client, incompetence and arrogance, that’s what we have received from the Connells agency. I won't recommend this agency to anyone and I can't wait for this to be over .

Really great mortgage advice and over all service. Would recommend a mortgage meeting to anyone but especially any first time buyers like myself.
Went in last weekend, very confused about the world of mortgages as a first time buyer. After an hour with Jeremy Wilkinson, their mortgage consultant, I felt so much clearer on what I could afford, what my mortgage may look like and understanding the differences between all the different type of mortgages out there. We also went through what Connell could help me with from the very start of my house hunt to ongoing help once I was on the property ladder!
This initial meeting was free, with no obligation to have to get my mortgage or buy through Connells- which I think is amazing. However, Nicola and the team at this branch were so friendly and approachable I will definitely be back to use the services they offer!

Absolutely class service from Connells Blaby. Nicola talks the talk and she backs it up. Not the cheapest option when comparing other estate agents but honestly it’s worth paying a little extra and getting somebody who is on it with your sale. I won’t mention any names but After an abysmal first experience with a company that rhymes with garrison hurry tenderby (who failed to sell my property over a 4 month period and insisted I lower and lower the price) I was seriously at an ends whit with it all. Nicola got it sold within 2-3 weeks of listing at the price we both agreed that I would be happy taking! Would certainly use again!

If you're selling a house in this part of the world you should be pretty excited to have the opportunity to do it with Nicola & the team at Blaby. It's not every day that you get to see something this good.
I've written a fair few reviews in my travels; I'm a pretty cynical guy & not given to overstatement, so I'm going to tell you factually how this went: Nicola came over, we had a coffee, we talked. I signed some paperwork, I gave her a number and a set of keys. I went to work a few times, slept a few times and then it sold.
That's it.
Seriously. The team sold this house for the asking price so quickly that when the sign blew down in a gale it was barely worth sending the guy with the giant hammer & the shorts to put it back up again.
I honestly had more hassle and spent more time returning a single unwanted Christmas present than I did selling with the Connells Blaby team.
I could go on about how professional they are, how they were always available, how they kept me informed at all times, but hell, that's just what you expect from an estate agent, right? Imagine when you get all that along with what must be some form of black-magic sales skill.
I've worked in service all my life & my actual job is finding the most efficient, productive ways to get things done. Imagine how good I am at complaining ... and then imagine how good these guys must be to make me want to write this.

Nicola was enthusiastic and very knowledgable regarding the housing market in my area and within a week she had many viewings lined up !.. A few weeks later my house was sold . We put our house on the market in September 17 after spotting a house we dint want to lose, we went through Nicola and her team at the Blaby branch who were all very professional and managed to sell our house for the asking price in just under a month. One of the keys reasons we used Connells was that we felt that their projected values were inline with what we felt our property was worth and the current market, we had plenty of agents offering over inflated prices which would of hindered the sale . The whole experience was very smooth with no surprises and would definitely use them next time around.

I used Nicola & Daniel at Connells to sell my house in September 2017. We knew we wanted to use Nicola as soon as we met her- she gave us an honest valuation and expectancy and we received offers of the full asking price. Unfortunately due to people changing their minds, our sale fell through twice, but both times our house was re-sold within 7 days. I'd use Nicola and her team again - communication was great and they helped with any concerns I had.

Moving house can be stressful & on this occasion it was, but it was made easier with the professionalism shown & dedication to get us over the line.

Unfortunately my husband and I cannot recommend Connells Blaby. We purchased a house via this estate agents last year. We were told we 'had to' make an appointment with the mortgage advisor so that we could make an offer. This was not the case in reality as we had a mortgage arranged already, and they were just trying to get us to use their service. Also, after our first visit to them to make an initial offer on a property, we were badgered every day, via phone, being asked 'had we sold our house' and 'had we heard if our buyers had arranged their mortgage', 'what was the update' etc etc. It got to the stage where I didnt want to answer my phone. We felt the sales advisors were also rude and very pushy. We appreciate that Connells are there to sell and buy properties for customers, but we both just felt that we were doing their job, and being hasselled at the same time. If we ever need to move again, we wont be using Connells.

I had my property of 47 glengate le184sq on the market with Connells estate agents blaby in the year of 2016 and on two occasions a woman there let herself in my property without letting me know first
I had told her not to do this the 1st day for a viewing and the 2nd day after this one she did it again and I told her to get out
I had seen this woman in blaby walking into Connells laughing with another woman after these incidents from a bus that pulled up at the bus stop in blaby outside the estate agents
In my home this woman said "that smells nice to the dinner I was making while she just let herself in"
I had a word with the manager and she opologised for the conduct of a staff member and that they had failed as an estate agents to sell my property
Then after this date from the top of my road I saw a director I believe of Connells while this was all going on looking up my road called Michael day and I am not sure whether himself and this estate agent woman knew each other or not but it was not nice being walked in on when nothing had been arranged is a viewing and also this viewing happened after 5pm when the estate agents was shut.
I do not like estate agents that fail to sell a property and then just walk into your home when they wish like they own it without arranging a viewing
