A credit to a maligned profession, our purchase would not have been possible if it were not for Duncan's help and understanding. I called up over a month ago regarding finding a property to rent and I was told I would get a call back. I didn’t get a call back so near closing time I rang back again asking about a property on their website in which they just said: “We don’t have anything on that road”. I felt very rushed and hurried off the phone. I felt like they were very dismissive perhaps because of my age. They made no attempt to tell me what was available. They were so uninterested in helping me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I emailed them with what I was looking for. I also signed up to receive alerts on available properties. I have had no response to emails and no alerts since signing up. Very disappointed I’m this estate agents. They lack good customer service and standard communication skills.

In urban mythology, estate agents have a poor reputation. Duncan Perry fly in the face of the myth. We were selling a house in Potters Bar, but we were based 100 miles away, so the process could have been tricky. Duncan Perry were superb from the start, with Sarah answering our queries quickly and never promising any action they could not deliver. Exploits student deposits, lanlord used to pop up in the house every so often with no warnings. Once I woke up in the room he was standing there testing the fire alarm in my room, then proceeded to have a go at me for not answering when knocking on my room door when i was clearly asleep. Bear in my he had not notified us he would be doing this. Gave 2 star cause we told estate agents was very nice about this and apologised but they said it would never happen again only for him to pop by again unannouced to check if he had room numbers on the door. Even though he knocked and asked we just found this extremely strange. Estate agents were decent just not the lanlord was very difficult to work with.

Thanks to Duncan Perry and the team my mother's house sold and completed in 9 weeks. His sharp negotiating on the selling price succeeded in enabling a good deal to be agreed between ourselves and the vendors.
At all times Duncan was professional, yet friendly, being interested to learn about the history of the house, which was very personal to us as my father built the property.

Duncan Perry arranged nearly 40 viewings for our property , we were provided with an email the day before and a text approximately 2 hours before each viewing, then a follow up email with comments from the prospective buyer , this kept us informed with how we were progressing with the sale.

My offer was accepted prior to the COVID lockdown and exchange/completion happened in August after restrictions began to ease. In short, it was a difficult time to attempt an international move.
Despite the complex nature of the deal, Jo was efficient and professional and worked to ease uncertainty both for myself and the vendors. Duncan Perry helped me to sell my home in 2019. They were fantastic! I had David and Jo working with me on my house sale and from the start, they were amazing. Kind, patient and so accommodating to work around me and my busy work schedule.
The whole process was so easy and if I needed questions answered I could call or email at any time and have the answer given to me straight away. I would highly recommend these agents in Potters Bar. Everyone we met were both friendly and accommodating. With that said, David went out of his way by providing transportation for us to view properties as we often travelled to Potters Bar by train. This is a service that is not always given with other agents. He was genuine and listened to what we wanted in a property and never pushed as he wanted us to find a property that was right for us. In future he will be the first person we will go to when we are ready to upgrade properties.

I went to see a house and it was not like the pictures they used to advertise it. It was meant to be newly refurbished but people had been living in the house for a while, and they were keeping animals in the house and garden so it was very messy. I am disgusted by the false advertising and the waste of my time going to see it. While the property Southgate Road has been reduced it is still overpriced. I ended up buying a beautiful refurbished house in a quiet lovely area for less money, a real result. Shame on you Duncan Perry.

Disgraceful customer service small shop mentality. I recently arranged a viewing and due to work commitments I had to cancel.
I emailed the individual I was dealing with 3 hours prior to the viewing and also emailed their enquiries email address which you'd assume would be monitor. I then receive a call from a Duncan perry employee asking if I'd be attending. After informing him I emailed them three hours in advance, he then told me with great attitude "I should have called" and then put the phone down on me mid conversation.
Also when arranging the booking I was already registered with Duncan Perry, after asking a lady from their team to email me confirmation. She asked me for my email address as it is rather long I asked if she had it on file(knowing she has it) she then replied "do you not know your own email address?". In future I would avoid dealing with Duncan Perry employees have an incredibly unprofessional attitude and it's clear they are still working in the Stone Age!
Start using email and get their fundamental customer services right and maybe I'll consider using them again!

Two years and half years ago myself and my family were left in a situation where we had no where to call home. I contacted Duncan Perry and they had u in a 3 bedroom property within a week. It is to our regret that we will be leaving Duncan Perry as our current landlord is now selling. However, since being with Duncan Perry they have been nothing but supportive. If we ever needed anything done they would always get it done straight away. I would highly recommend Duncan Perry to any potential tenant or landlord. So sad to have to say goodbye to them.

Worst Experience EVER!!
Rented A bungalow through Duncan Perry for £1200pcm and it has been the worst experience of my Life. The Landlords family live in the neighbouring property and are the most anti social people i have ever come across ( metalworking till 10pm on sundays, dogs barking till 3am and music blaring out till late) complaints to duncan perry go unheard as they have 2 interests which are the rent and what the landlords want.
Needed to get hold of Duncan perry after house was hit by lightning but they have no emergency number (or just cant be bothered to answer) and still waiting for emergency repairs to be done after more than a week.
Towards the end of the tenancy the landlord started locking the main gate to the property while i was out which caused many problems trying to get back into the home i rented
If your thinking of renting please do yourself a favour and choose a better estate agent.
