Trying to get anything done takes countless phone calls and emails. What’s the point in a landlord paying an estate agent if they don’t do their job? Been with previous estate agents where stuff just gets done or landlord just deals directly with issues but with this company the maintaince team don’t seem to have enough staff and things take forever

Terrible from start to finish. Was promised a call back regarding a property numerous times, only happened through weeks of calling and pestering.<br>Viewing - agent was late, knew nothing about the property and had never been in before.<br>Contracts - Names on the contract were wrong, dates were wrong for guarantor forms, one tenant was sent the contract for a completely different property.<br>Inventory - Deep clean mentioned for every room on the inventory but no clean was performed, house was left in dirty, messy state with needle present in one room. Incorrect date on the inventory.<br><br>I am aware that James who caused most of the issues no longer works for them however I have raised issues with the company (and their management company) many times with very poor response. Terrible HMO management breaking numerous council guide lines. Please avoid if at all possible.

We have had some bad experiences with agents but R&C restored our faith. These guys worked really hard for us in difficult pandemic circumstances. Without a shadow of a doubt the guys in the Potters Bar branch were easily the best estate agents I have ever experienced and that is quite a lot.<br>I had a lot of personal challenges to overcome, including a complicated divorce and even had to pull out of a good offer because of this. Although Theo of Raine & Co Potters Bar was working for the vendor, and not specifically for us, he was the consummate professional! He was so helpful and put himself out on several occasions to try and smooth out what was at times a bumpy road. He did what my own estate agent failed to do..... many times. Of course I’m aware it’s in Raine & Co’s interest for the sale to go through ASAP, but Theo went above and beyond. Gold star!!

Had to relocate due to job. Contacted nearly all estate agents in the area giving them what I need and my budget and time frame.<br>Honestly speaking Raine and Co were the only ones who fulfilled all my wishes :).<br>Cannot Theo enough for finding and assisting me every step of the way without hestitation, allowing me to focus on the relocation and new job (even advising for my children where the good schools are in the area)!<br>Just little things like this make the biggest difference.<br>The rest only got back to me 2 weeks after the completion through Raine (a bit of shame if you ask me)<br>Just a big thank you to Theo!

A company solely out for themselves.<br><br>Tenancy agreements are AGREEMENTS made between the landlord/estate agent and the tenant-to-be. Simple demands such as rephrasing or addition of small clauses should not be a problem. These were rejected with no question of alteration.<br><br>Inventory, referencing fees e.t.c are high.<br><br>Mid way through our tenancy, a 'to-let' sign was placed without our knowledge in our front garden. Figuratively 'digging us an early grave'. Not a good way to make people feel comfortable in their own home.<br><br>Upon looking to rent again, and signing up for them to email us potential properties, we received nothing. I called up after a month and was told that it is ' Not their job to look for properties for us'... what is exactly is their job then, if we sign up for email notifications for suitable properties?<br><br>This aside, their method of dealing with repairs etc. Is quite good...<br><br>That is until contractors turn up unannounced to fix issues, despite REPEATEDLY being told to call ahead. They would let themselves in without our consent to do so.<br><br>Some contractors would turn up without booking a time slot, meaning I have had to stay in on a couple of occasions and delay going into university.<br><br>Private landlords are the way to go. Do NOT waste your time. I'd like to think the company has more potential, but from my experience, they do not recognise the importance of customer care, and do little besides work in their own interest.

The Potters Bar office were incredibly helpful in my search for a new home. Due to circumstances out of our control we could not move but found the company to be professional and knowledgable. Would most certainly look to Raine and Co for help in the future.

I wish I had a glowing review of the realtor Steven Threadgold, but this was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a real estate agent.<br><br>Even in a competitive market I expect honesty, transparency, and respectful behavior. In the first property we viewed, he made false promises by claiming the property was "ours" if we wanted it because the other group viewing the property was "waffling back and forth." Little did we know the other group had been finalizing the property with Steven that entire week and he chose not to disclose that information. Awkwardly, we knew the other group and they told us he promised them the property the whole time. I decided to put this experience behind me as I viewed a second property with Steven. Not surprisingly, the same thing happened. I viewed a property and very clearly asked if anyone else was looking at this property and he claimed no one else was interested. After viewing the second property, I said I would get back to him that evening. I called 20 minutes later, spoke with an agent in the office and said I was going to bring my deposit in to reserve the property. The man on the phone said Steven would call me back. I became worried after not getting a call from Steven for ten minutes so I walked back into the office with my deposit right away. As I walked in, Steven said another group had just put a deposit down on that second property after I called. Not only did Steven lie by claiming no one else was interested in the property, but he was in the office when I called and ignored it. I had to appear in person for him to tell me what was actually happening. Do not use this agent or company.

Would not use Raine and Co if my life depended on it. One of their staff Tom in his infinite wisdom put Super Glue in my Council Garage Lock. The boss in there laid her hand on me to unceramently march me out of their office and shut the door in my face scratched my glasses in the prossess when I gave him the estament for repairs. Sorry but I'm a woman of 60 years of age not in my thoughts an appropriate way to treat someone going into their premesses.

A pleasure dealing with Raine and Co. Customer focussed staff, prompt responses and professional throughout. Nothing was too much for them, I would definitely use them again!

Great office, everyone was very helpful. I worked with Tom who went to great lengths to help me find the perfect place. Very happy and would recommend to anyone looking in Potters Bar!
