The staff were always friendly and responsive when contacted. However, our property had a problem with the drains where running the bathroom sink caused water to come up through the bath accompanied by a foul smelling odour. After contacting them multiple times to try and get the issue fixed no action was taken. This persisted until we eventually left the property 4 months later with the problem still not being addressed.

Beware of Unprofessional Conduct: My Experience with Fairview Estates
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Fairview Estates, a letting agency that left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. Here's my story:
I was in search of an apartment near my friend's place, and upon their recommendation, I contacted the landlord, Platform Housing. Platform Housing directed me to Fairview Estates, who were managing an upcoming rental property.
Despite my keen interest and consistent follow-ups over a two-month period, Fairview Estates only granted me a viewing of the apartment after significant persistence on my part. However, to my dismay, they awarded the apartment to another applicant, despite assurances that my application was equally eligible.
What transpired next was even more disheartening. Fairview Estates responded to my concerns in a dismissive and unprofessional manner, citing reasons such as a lack of urgency in my application and failure to highlight my situation during the viewing. This couldn't be further from the truth. I had been in regular communication with them, even arranging for a friend to view the apartment on my behalf due to travel commitments.
Moreover, I made it abundantly clear that I was well-acquainted with the property and its surroundings, as my friend resided nearby. The viewing was merely a formality for me, and I promptly confirmed my interest and submitted my application upon receiving feedback from my friend.
It's evident that Fairview Estates' decision-making process lacked transparency and integrity, ultimately resulting in favoritism towards another applicant. Such behavior is unacceptable in any professional setting, let alone in the realm of property management.
I urge anyone considering renting through Fairview Estates to proceed with caution. Their disregard for fairness and professionalism should serve as a warning sign to prospective tenants. As for me, I will be taking my business elsewhere and ensuring that others are made aware of my unfortunate experience.
In conclusion, Fairview Estates' conduct falls far short of acceptable standards, and I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone seeking rental accommodation.

See the below email from your staff.
“You had someone view on your behalf who carried out a video tour, there was no mention from them the urgency of your application. They could see other interested parties on the day and didn’t highlight your situation to us.”
What does it mean? If the urgency was mentioned, Then you would have favoured my application?
“Throughout our interactions with you, our team has maintained a high level of professionalism. While we understand your disappointment, we respectfully acknowledge your feedback.”
I have to sent almost 5 plus emails to get a response from your professional staffs.
Now I understood, it is not only the staff, the entire organisation has very low standard of professionalism. I hope the readers too understand the same.
PS: I won’t stop it here. I will wait for the response from Platform housing and will take it to the next level.

Recently moved out of a rented property these were in charge off & our experience with fairview was poor.
They sent an email basically accusing our dog off fouling etc without checking the facts & indeed it was another dog by another neighbour,we phoned ask for a gate key never got one I had to climb over a wall twice to get in & finally tried to charge £60 for a oven clean which needs replacing & was better when we moved in so a said we would go to court we got an abrupt email back but they backed down.
We own to properties & would never use fairview Estates.

I have used Fairview Estates to manage my property for the last 2 years. I can honestly say I’d be lost without them! I had no experience in managing tenants and property so was relieved when I found Fairview Estates. They make everything incredibly simple and just get on with doing things in the background which allows me to focus on other things however I’m always consulted before any big decisions are made. I mostly deal with Abbey and Amy who are both so lovely and very efficient, nothing is ever too much trouble. What a disgrace. I’ve had trouble with estate agents my entire life, but Fairview have taken a lack of decency to a whole new level. Knowing full well that I have to drive at least 90 minutes to view their properties located in a different city to me, they decide to cancel a house viewing an HOUR before it was meant to happen. I had to pull over on the motorway to answer their phone call. How hard is it to give notice? Or better yet not cancel an appointment. Utterly pathetic service, they should be completely ashamed.

I drove up from Southampton to Nottingham to view a property with this estate agent recently. They booked the wrong time in their own diary and so we were waiting at the property while no one turned up. I then got an email later in the day from the director oddly admitting that not only had they got the time wrong in the diary but they didn't even manage to stick to the time they thought it was at. Avoid like the plague.

I have had really bad letting agencies in the UK. Lack of support or trying to squeeze money out of you after your end of tenancy....Fairview Estates is the complete OPPOSITE.
They helped me out with a flexible contract and then claimed only a cleaning fee after I ended my tenancy. The also showed appreciation with my support during my stay.
10/10 recommend if you want to not stress about letting agencies and need support.

Useless!! 4 times I’ve turned up at their offices on Abbey Road on a Saturday at times ranging from 10:30 to 1:30 and every time the office has been closed. Website says they are open to 1pm in a Sat staff told me on the phone they are open until 1pm on Sat. I’ve tried calling and leaving a message but nobody gets back to me. If you are trying to rent or sell your house I’d look elsewhere as they don’t seem that motivated.

Called Fairview Estates on a Friday and was booked in for the coming Monday to view a fully furnished flat to rent in NG3. On the day 1 hour prior to viewing time, I called their offices to advise that I might be running late and requested a slight push back only be told that other viewings had been carried out on the Saturday and someone made an offer so there were no more viewings. When I asked why no one bothered to call or email me to tell me the viewing was no longer happening (imagine if I hadn’t of been running late, I would of rocked up there and waited, looking like a right prat), they claimed they had called me 2-3 hours prior but I had 0 missed calls/voicemails on my mobile phone

The office is run by three young people, Aaron, Rob and Pierce, who are all extremely helpful, professional and personable. Terrible communication. I am deeply disappointed from Aaron. I contacted 4 days bedore the agency in order to book a property. My first question was if the landlord would accept my 2 cats. Aaron - the owner- said yes. We saw the property and ask to proceed but then he said he would like to confirm that the landlady accepts cats. I am waiting till Friday. After 100 phone calls and messages today he said that the landlord doesn t accept pets. I lost 4 days of my life with lies. I am arriving tomorrow at Nottingham with 2 cats and nowere to stay. I am extremely pissed of. Be careful with this 'agent' he is unprofessional. 1 star because there is no 0 star.

We wanted to sell our house with a small, independent and local estate agent because we thought we would receive a better, more personal service and because it's better for the neighbourhood and local economy. We were not disappointed! Our experience with Fairview Estates from day 1 was excellent. In 3 or 4 days after we instructed Rob to market our property, we had great photos live online and viewings. We couldn't have asked for a more helpful and co-operative agent and all in all it was a very smooth, speedy and efficient service with none of the hyperbole and delays we had previously experienced with a much larger, national agent. Didn't bother responding to my email about a letting so had to ring up for a viewing. Agent was half an hour late. Wanted to apply for the property and left several emails and a voicemail to ask important questions about the property. Never bothered to get back to me, awful communication. Was also told I would be notified of similar properties but never was.
