Be careful when adding yourself to their system as you will never stop receiving emails from them.
I ended up informing them that I have purchased a house with a separate provider and didn't wish to receive communication through them and used the "manage your email preferences" to unsubscribe 3 separate times from Fox and sons and their partner companies, and proceeded to get emails.
It wasn't until I threatened legal action for breaching GDPR that they unsubscribed me. Making people jump through hoops just to not get pestered by emails is a not a great look.....
Seemed very lazy and unprofessional from a company claiming to be the "largest estate agent organisation in the country"
To add to this they insisted on me speaking to their mortgage specialist before a viewing despite me saying that I was using an independent broker and they still booked me in to see them, the viewing was due to take place during my work break (which I exclaimed to them before booking the viewing), and they still pushed back the viewing to make way for a 30 minute chat with the mortgage advisor!
The viewing itself was ok (although the agent seemed a bit disinterested)
Will definitely be avoiding them and their partners in the future.

I cannot recommend Alan Blythe enough; when we had our first meeting with Alan back in 2022, we had been recommended to have a chat with him through Fox and sons regarding a shared ownership flat in Brighton. We had been told by other mortgage brokers that our criteria was too narrow and we wouldn’t be able to get anything. Alan has a vast knowledge of his field, and the patience of a saint! He managed to get us into a (fully owned) flat of our own shortly after. We soon found out we were expecting our son, and our family plans excelled slightly. We made another appointment with Alan just to see where we needed to be headed if we ever wanted to upgrade to a house in the future. Once again, Alan came through for us and by selling our flat (which we had improved vastly) we were able to secure a house. The pathway wasn’t straightforward (as it always seems to be for us) but Alan persevered for us with so much patience. He is always calm and nothing is ever too much trouble. He always takes his time to explain every detail, and doesn’t mind explaining things more than once. We are now in our perfect family home thanks to Alan, I still believe none of this would have been possible without his help, none of the other brokers got anywhere close to this kind of help. At the beginning we paid a small fee for a lifetime membership and then pay a smaller fee thereafter for ongoing services when required; this has been worth its weight in gold. Thanks again for everything Alan we are so grateful.

I had my house valued with this estate agency a few years ago. Our house was in a really bad condition when we purchased it and after extending and other major renovations we were interested to know their opinion on the new market value. Since their appraisal I have received persistent marketing calls from them. After the first three or so calls I respectfully asked to be removed from their marketing list to prevent further calls and each time I have been assured this will be done. Even after assuring them that, as result of their badgering, I would never use them if I were to consider moving in the future the calls continue.

He is a very dedicated and knowledgeable Mortgage Service Partner. From the very first conversation, he made the entire mortgage process understandable and answered any and all questions we threw at him, if he didn’t know the answer, he would go to the seller or the relevant department. And call us up /email to let us know
He took the time to really explain but also understand our needs, walking us through every step and explaining each detail in a way that was so clear. (Even if that ment repeating himself a few times - very calmly and genuinely)
What really stood out to me was his dedication to us understanding what was going on and providing exceptional service.
He was always available to answer our questions, offer guidance, and ensure that we felt confident in every decision we made.
There was NO pressure to sign up to their provided lawyers or solicitors, there was no pressure to sign up with Alan for him to represent us in future. (we did sign up with him and I 100% recommended him and his services)
The process of buying our first house was, as you would expect, somewhat stressful, with different things happening and waiting for responses from - solicitors, lawyers and surveyors!
With Alan when we didn’t know what was going on he was transparent, kept realistic expectations and time lines. What was even more positive about this experience was that he was very honest with the not so great things which could happen (time, paperwork, legalities, surveyors etc) but also the positive things! (Mortgage rates, payments, process and solutions if things maybe did go wrong (which they didn’t )
Not only a professional but friendly and impressionable man. He made us feel valued throughout the entire process and not silly for asking all the questions we had!
I truly appreciate how honest he was with every option, and his ability to find a solution that worked perfectly for us.

A Gentleman came to the house did a lot of bragging on how much the company took. And are the biggest estate agent going round this area?And it worked in london and all over the place and takes a lot of money for the company which actually I did not care about and lost interest quite.

Was not impressed with a showing. Just look round there was no guidance in buying the house that we were looking at or any information .
A lot of Her answer was. I'd have to ask the office or most of my questions. I didn't get a good vibe from this state agent at all.

I recently had my property on with a local independent agent and the agent only had 2 viewings in 3 months. I then met John on a viewing and he asked how things were going and I invited him to take a look at my property. He felt my property was worth more than it was on for which I honestly didn’t believe but let him give it a go. John and the team were always calling me for viewings and I eventually sold the property for £20k MORE. Treated very very poorly, we put an offer on a house which was done via their in house mortgage advisor.... When we called to find out how the offer had been received I was told we needed to come in to discuss mortgage options even though we already had a mortgage in principle. Pressured into it to find out how our offer had been received I accepted. My husband thought otherwise and called to find out about our offer and after a very pushy call trying to get an answer they told us our offer was rejected. They held information from us purely to get us in and sell us a mortgage. Tragic service, have no interest in the sell or buyer, just interested in themselves. DO NOT USE!

Fox and sons were one of 5 agents that valued my property when I decided to sell. I chose them as they seemed the right agent to sell my home. I found Steve, Sara and Adam all very helpful and knowledgeable. We had a few hiccups along the way, which were dealt with very well and we moved to our new home. Thank you and would recommend them as a really good estate agent in the area.

Appalling. Only had a handful of viewings in 10 weeks for a high spec restoration of my property . On a number of occasions F&S gave the same excuse why 'viewers' cancelled. Which gave us great suspicion that these were fictitious viewings. Came under great pressure to reduce price. Went with another agent. Had 9 viewers in first week and sold property in that week with our original asking price when first listed with Fox and Sons.
