They also manage two properties for us out of the Bramhall office, with Heather, Jan and Pauline doing a brilliant job. We only use Gascgoine because they are very professional, and friendly and provide excellent service for a very fair price. Cannot recommend them enough!

I assume most property sales are pretty straightforward, but there are those complicated situations that require a tactile approach. That was the case with my sale, yet the staff at Gascoigne Halman Bramhall took a lot of the strain away.
I already had the property on the market with another agency for over 3 months when Nick Longworth came to carry out the survey. He knew his business and had viewing bookings within a relatively short time.
The bulk of the sale process fell on Zainab Ashfaq, who also showed extreme professionalism along with her colleague, Sophie Hargreaves. They were able to effectively navigate the complexity of a delicate situation and I not only got an offer near enough asking price, but also got the sale through within a reasonable time frame.
I will certainly use Gascoigne Halman again and happy to recommend them too.

Writing this review now we have finally moved. I am torn on how best to describe the experience we had with Gascoigne Halman. The girls in the shop especially Zainab who was the lead on our sale dealt with things to the best of their ability. It was an incredibly stressful process, not helped by a particularly difficult buyer.
Our biggest cause for frustration throughout the entire process was the distinct lack of senior management support, there was basically none! Nick was almost as elusive as our buyer.
As I say we have now completed so don't want carry negativity over. Thanks to Zainab, Sophie and Meghan for baring the brunt of most of our frustration and getting us over the line.

Since being a tenant with Gascoigne Halman Bramhall, starting in the Summer of 2022, there have been some ups and downs with regards to the staff and processes but I will not expand on the details as most issues are now resolved. What I can say is now that I am vacating the property, the service is excellent thanks to Pauline Longworth who is lovely and very helpful. Compared to experiences I have now had with other agents, this branch is well equipped these days to deal with tenant queries etc. so overall I would recommend this branch for renters.

Gascoignes did sell our house.
The process the experience the professionalism, care and concern for my wife and I as your clients was non existant as was any further contact by Nick Longsworth.
In brief I outline our experience;
- photographs needed re taking
- floor plan was wrong with a room missing
- a written offer was received by lawyers acting on behalf of our buyer
- The sales manager did not read it correctly nor did Nick Longworth it cotained some issues.
We had on her verbal communication made an offer for our purchase.
- I called Nick this was the only time he felt it appropriate to be involved, the confusion on the offer was cleared up after I firmly insisted that he personally dealt with it.
- The sales managers involvement with lawyers was merely to forward on their emails to us which at times was not at all helpful.
- we were fully involved and engaged with the estate agents acting for the sellers of the house we were buying an exemplory service from them.
- We find out having had no contact from Gascoignes that the previous sales manager has left and the new Sales Manager is appalled at how clients have felt let down. Not to worry she is on the case and will be there for us.
- In fact even though she was meant to be finding out about a survey our purchases solicitors had asked for the next we heard was a voice message telling us we had exchanged, we already knew as by now we had given up with Gascoigne and driven the sale ourselves.
- The next contact from your new Sales Manager was another voice message congratulating us on our completion. We already knew as again with absolutely no involvement from Gascoigne we had again driven our Sale and Purchase.
- The final communication was the bill from Gascoignes for what exactly? a listing on Rightmove and some viewings which generally meant staff who were not briefed on our house let people look round generally unaccompanied.
I have forwarded an email to Gascoigne headoffice and absolutely no response which sums up the depth of client care whuch is just about the fee

Objectively useless. From start to finish.
I won't bore you with the detail of everything that was handled poorly, as this would turn into war and peace. Needless to say we were left with an overriding feeling that we had paid them a significant amount of money for practically nothing. They put the house on to Rightmove - that was where their usefulness ended. Did the rest ourselves, and they didn't even contact us on the day of completion to congratulate us on the move.
Save yourself the money and angst - either sell yourself through an online agent or pick an independent firm who care even the slightest bit about your sale.

Booked an appointment for a valuation last week. They were due to come out today and I finished work early as it was a 4:30 appointment. Just had a phone call from them at 4 to say they weren’t coming as we were out of their area (despite a home 200 yards away that is on the market with them) shocking service. But at least I know now.

I have had a terrible experience with these people, we rented a 5 bedroom house in Bramhall, when we moved in it was filthy and nothing worked, including hob, boiler, gas fire, showers, we complained and have been battling with the agents ever since. I wrote a 20 page complaint to the Director in accordance with their complaints procedure and didn’t even get an acknowledgement. I am now in the process of taking our complaint to the Property Ombudsman. I parted with over £3000 prior to moving in and have received an absolutely abismal level of service. Completely unprofessionally and shoddy.

We had a really good experience buying our first house. Jodie was excellent and went above and beyond to help us throughout the process.
There were so many parties involved in the process, we often got confused between speaking with mortgage advisors, solicitors, developers and G&H. Jodie did a great job at keeping us informed, answering any questions we had and explaining the process to us.
They obviously have a good working relationship with the developer too, as all tweaks that we requested were completed without any issues.
