I cannot recommend Harpers & Co enough with my recent move. I offered on a property through them, but that unfortunately fell through at the last minute which was really stressful, but with Harpers help, managed to find and fall in love with another. Michelle at Harpers was so supportive with constant phone calls and updates guiding me through the process. She helped with speaking to solicitors, to get the sale over the line and I cannot thank her enough. What was an extremely stressful time was eased with Michelle's support and advice. If in the future (hopefully not too soon) I look to sell/purchase again, Harpers would be my number one choice. Thank you so much!

Rude, Unorganised, DisRespectful...some of the words to describe the estate agency. They will show least interest in answering any queries you may have. We wanted to buy a house . The problem with this agency is that negativity stems in each staff member because of ther owner who is extremely rude. I would highly suggest not to sell your house or buy a house through this agency. The reason for not selling through this agency is that they will not even make an effort of being present in the viewing and leave the seller to show the house on their own. They absolutely and completely made no effort to answer any queries we had. Correspondence to the potential buyer is poor and restricted except for the odd call from the owner of this agency who will keep on talking but not bother answering any query you may have. I do have proof of the email sent to them as well and would sincerely request you to get in touch with me so that you can save yourself from selling through this agent. You will see that many high priced properties available through them stay unsold for a very long time and you can check this on your own on RightMove.
.As a potential buyer, we were interested in a house but the reason, we couldnt go ahead was because after the offer there was no communication and none of our queries were answered, In the meantime, our other offer got accepted . Secondly and most important, we werent comfortable dealing with the owner of the company who was extremely disrespectful and when we tried putting our point across, he referred to us as Ridiculous and banged the phone down. His language was extremely rude and deterimental to each partys interest. I would sincerely advise to not buy or sell through this agency. feel free to contact me for details and I can provide further details. I am sure there will be many potential buyers like me who will choose not to buy because of the lack of interest by the estate agency in promoting your property and the unacceptable behaviour of the owner.

I have been a tenant with Harpers for around 2.5 years and it is safe to say they have been the best landlord/letting agent I have used. Jak & Lisa are really easy going and accommodating whenever there is an issue. Rent was kept at a good rate and it wasn’t being increased at any possible moment. If I was looking to rent or buy a place in Bexley I would 100% know to use Harpers again as you get a quality service.

Harpers & Co were amazing from start to finish. Upon meeting Jak and the team, they were so welcoming and made our home feel like one of a kind. We had a fantastic experience working with Harpers & Co, while in the process of selling our first home Jak and Kellie were fantastic and went the extra mile to ensure everything was running smooth for us.
We were amazed by the sheer hard work the team did in a couple of days to get our house beautifully photographed, with a real perspective view from a professional video, printed material and just like that it was on the market. The most touching part were the words that were used to describe us and our home because it was so special to us living in our first home together. I really appreciated Jak mentioning our home had a lovely essence to it as we enjoyed 8 wonderful years in our village and the care we had for our home we knew the team would find an owner who would enjoy it as much as we did.
Harpers & Co made sure every viewer could take their time in our home and could return again with any questions and we were happy to assist with the team.
We couldn’t believe our home sold within a week and exceeding over the asking price. This was all because of the team letting the viewers enjoy the process and we felt assured that no one felt the pressure of decisions and each decision was made carefully in the process in the best interest from each party.
The whole team were beyond brilliant, Jak, Kellie, Joe and Michelle always kept us in the loop, explained certain situations to us and to the buyer so we fully understood the process especially selling our first home and them buying theirs.

We had experienced a total nightmare being messed around by other estate agents, inviting us to view properties that were way beyond our budget, even though we had been very clear about what we were willing to pay.
And then there was Harpers & Co.
A total breath of fresh air, friendly but super professional. We were kept up to date the whole time with viewing information, how the offer process worked, and what was required - and there aren't many estate agents who will call you on a Sunday to tell you that you were successful.

We sold our house through Harpers and from start to finish they have ben incredible! Starting with the photographer who took amazing pictured and videos of the house and was a joy to work with, the open day, getting us full asking offer, and navigating the complex chain communication (5 parties, 6 months and a utterly useless counter party at an Estate Agent handling the sale of the property we were buying), we really could not have wished for a better agency.
In this whole stressful process which seemed to have gone on forever, we have been consistently grateful for the wonderful and impeccable service delivered by Harpers.
Michelle - what a star! She was proactive, helpful, willing to go over and beyond and overall absolutely wonderful. The things she had to navigate and get to the bottom of on the upward chain side are a story for another time but suffice to say she did a brilliant job of getting this through the finishing line for us.
The solicitor they have recommended to us (Louisa at TG Baynes) was outstandingly fantastic and the surveyor (Surveyline in Bexleyheath) recommended by Harpers was very detailed, meticulous and professional as well. I would never hesitate to recommend them and use them again.
Having experienced utter ineptitude, constant half-truths being told, laziness, rudeness and overall shockingly dissatisfactory service from the Estate Agents we were purchasing a property through (God how I wish it had been Harpers, I swear it would not have taken 6 months and half of the mess and stress would have been avoided) the contrast between the outstanding level of service, professionalism and the high calibre of people Jak (the owner of Harpers) hires, was even starker! Jak has high standards and he holds all working for him to those as well. Good is not good enough and you can tell.
Through and through they have put the other agents to shame.
We are hoping never to move again but if we do, we would only consider selling through Harpers!
All the other agents we have dealt with over the years are not even close to being considered anywhere near the gold level of service you will get from Harpers.

EDIT: Despite all of the "facts" Harpers kindly stated in their response to my original review, we were the winners of the DPS claim. We got our deposits back. Fact.
Despite Harpers being helpful at the start (when they want your money), good luck getting your deposit back if you're renting with them. We moved out more than 7 months ago and have chased them constantly with no response. They have also failed to respond to the deposit protection scheme over the money that is in dispute. So the money is sat with the protection scheme with neither party being able to access it.
Maybe the deposit isn't worth the hassle for Harpers, but it certainly is for someone renting who can't afford to lose such a significant amount of money.
If you are reading this I'd also suggest reading the other negative reviews. Harper's standard response is to imply they are lying and I look forward to that same response here :)
All in all, shocking customer service. And on the odd occasion we've been able to speak to a manager on the phone they have been incredibly rude.

We rented through Harpers and when we moved out our landlord wanted to take a load of money out of our deposit for no good reason. So we said we were going to dispute it with the DPS (Deposit Protection Scheme) and our landlord said we needed to take it up with Harpers. But Harpers said we needed to take it up with our landlord and in the end our landlord was pretty rubbish (and wish I could review him on Google!) and so were Harpers.
Harpers ignored lots of my emails, including chaser ones, and when I called I would often be told it was not their issue or they would call me back (and never did). Eventually I think they realised I wasn't going away and so they put me through to the director (who I think is called Jak) and his manor was dismissive and unfriendly. Jack said "What's a few hundred quid to a few young lads" and when I said I wasn't happy for our landlord to wrongfully take £300 from us I could tell he was frustrated and he abruptly ended the call. While Jak / Harpers may have not have seen it as their issue, our landlord insisted it was, and either way I would still have been hoped to have been treated with the same respect that Hapers showed when they were taking our money at the start of the tenancy.
Hopefully our experiences with Harpers aren't the norm and I wish Jak and the team all the best.
Oh, and if you're interested to hear how the story ended, after an 8 month struggle with Harpers and our landlord, we finally managed to lodge our dispute with the DPS and last week we heard news that we won our appeal and have been awarded back our £300. Good times

Brilliant sales service, the pictures and video tour were so well done.
One open day, 7 viewings and 3 offers with 2 over the asking price. And no it wasn’t priced too low, we actually thought the valuation was a bit high!
Helped us navigate the best offer to accept.
And then as if that wasn’t brilliant enough, we struck gold in getting Kellie as our Sales Progressor. It’s taken some time to get to exchange (5 months) and she has been utterly brilliant. She is always proactive, contactable, so on the ball and works tirelessly to wrangle everyone up and down the chain. She gave me help and advice regarding our purchase (which was unfortunately not through Harpers) as their sales progressor was utterly useless.
I honestly could not have had a better experience and would not hesitate to recommend Harpers.

Simply put, Harpers is the best Estate Agents we have ever dealt with. Dealing with a probate property, Jak was extremely patient with us while we gathered the necessary paperwork. When we were ready, the house appeared on the market on a Wednesday, Jak had organised an open day for the Saturday and we accepted an offer on the Monday, less than a week later. Kellie then took over and provided us with an excellent service. Communicating at least weekly on any progress made and dealing directly with our Solicitor, saving time, we never had to chase or contact Kellie more than once to get a reply. Reviewing now that we've successfully moved elsewhere. I'm pretty sure that we were stitched up in favour of a "preferred buyer" when bidding for a property. The owner stated that he was open to additional offers whilst the estate agent claimed that an offer was already accepted. We then offered asking price (trumping the "accepted" offer) only for the EA to claim that it was "rejected", we thought something was fishy so we went directly to the owner and they claimed that they had no knowledge of our offer at all! We gave up the ghost after that and purchased a property elsewhere for substantially more (although I'm sure if we offered that amount on this property it still would've been "rejected").
That's an FYI to all the buyers reading this.

Booked a free valuation with Harpers on Friday 13th August 21 with the MD Jak Kypri for 11am. He called on the morning to change to 1pm due some other engagements, so i agreed. He then turned up around 20 mins late. And literally walked in and spent less than 5 mins in the property. No measurements taken and didnt even see our garden room until i told him. He wasnt bothered at all. He just said he would email with the valuation of which im still waiting for. No response, nothing. Very poor service and lack of professionalism. He told me he only deals with high end properties which is fair enough but dont agree to a valuation only to not follow through on giving one.

After an initial “can’t do enough” attitude, we ended our tenancy early mainly due to the fact the owner Jak Kippri, didn’t care that we didn’t have an in date gas safety certificate, even after threatening with legal action, his constant blubbering emails full of excuses didn’t work. We left the property months ago and we are still awaiting our deposit return, after ofcourse a reduction for “damage” which was actually in place when we moved in. If you want my advice, find another agent, there’s plenty of them.

Jak spoke of being 'different' to other estate agents and as I warmed to his approach, we agreed in principle that they would take control of the sale of our house.
I sent an email when we returned from holiday asking questions and wishing to clarify matters in regards to the contract and requesting that someone come and collect the contract from us as Bexley is not ideal for parking.
5 days passed until I had a missed call from the office. No message was left though. I only knew it was Harpers because I Googled the phone number.
As my original email had not been responded to, I forwarded it on and asked further questions. The following day I received a reply but it still didn't address the main questions that I had asked. The email ended with "I will follow up with a call later to see when you would like to book us in to take the property on". I sent one further reply and then awaited the phone call.
As the days went by, I got tired of waiting.
We instructed an EPC privately at a cost of £45 (check the government website for certified assessors), he mentioned an estate agent and that afternoon the owner was at our home.
The following day the floor plan was completed and a day later were the photographs. Luckily I was able to do these myself but for a small extra charge we could have instructed the EPC assessor to do these too on the same day he initially visited.
Our house went on the market on a Saturday and by the Monday we had two viewings booked in - in which time I still had not had a reply from Harpers!
We had provisionally instructed Harpers to take on the sale of the house and we just wanted to clarify some matters before handing over the contract. Surely, responding and having the contract signed asap is in your interest?
