Property listings are matched to data from the Land Registry by our clever algorithm. Clever as it may be, it isn't always right, especially if a property was listed by multiple agents. Latest Reviews for Acorn - Bexleyheath

Phoned the Bexleyheath office 3 weeks ago regarding starting a personal injury claim on behalf of my child who was hit by a car whilst using a crossing. After relaying the distressing incident to them the person said they would review the case and a solicitor would call me back to let me know if they would take it on but if they couldn't take the case, I would still receive a call offering legal advice. They have not contacted me at all. Waste of time, if I could give less than one star I would.

Louisa was a pleasure to deal with selling my late father's property.
Louisa was so helpful & approachable & even when the first sale fell through she took the time to contact me & advise that the paperwork could be quickly amended for the next buyer & that we could come into the office at anytime to discuss details.
So different from the dreadful service from Laurus Law in London who dealt with probate.
Would encourage relatives to deal with local companies who are personable & actually care about the people they are dealing with.
Thanks again Louisa for your kind assistance

I'm giving this review as an honest and genuine experience I had and only gave them 1 star as I couldn't give them less.

My father employed this firm as executors of his will back in 2004. We expected a professional service like you would from any solicitor.

A long story short they failed to inventory the physical items of the estate only trying to ascertain any items of worth via a antiques evaluator, so when the tenner ran off with half of the items in the property we had no recourse to get these back due to their failure, they did not considering that many items may have been of sentimental value etc.

When My father died his stepdaughter was living in the property rent free which she continued to do for a further 2 years approximately to which we requested numerous times for TG Baynes to get a contract in place from her to pay rent into the estate which over the period of the probate and by the time she did a moonlight flit would've to amount to circa £24K so they also failed to get a contract in place so failed on a second major requirement of being a executor, namely secure financial assets and income of the estate.

Another element, you'd expect from an executor was a swift execution of the estate and probate, this went on for 18 months in a main part in my opinion due to Kully not chasing up information from Greenwich and Bexley authorities regarding my dad's care from an office not 1/2 mile away from their office at the end of the Broadway for over 6 months until we stepped in and started chasing myself. They never once went to the office to chase which was less than a 5 minute walk.

In my opinion they were quite 'toothless' when dealing with a solicitor of the trust which his second wife set up after he was put into care. There were many other elements which in my opinion were far from satisfactory, so my advice would be to look elsewhere and also check that your parents or grandparents have not signed up to this company ASAP, if so, I'd suggest that they find another alternative, but again in my opinion and experience would also avoid WMK in Sidcup like the plague

I was recommended Mrs Pavendeep Gill by friends and having spoken to her, I am grateful for her advice and would highly recommend her. She made me feel at ease and was friendly.

So glad I chose T G Baynes . Laura sparrow was dealing with my RTA claim. I was over the moon, she was always on the ball and kept me in the loop, very professional . I would definitely recommend Laura to anyone, Was such a nice person and found her really helpful and understanding in every way. Laura sparrow would certainly be my first choice again.

Terrible, terrible experience. The lack of response when needed is staggering. Throughout the process the solicitor assigned to my husband has not contacted us when needed, has not called him back and (genuinely) never answered the phone when he has called. They have charged him for services they have not completed and seem completely uninterested in helping him when he has had a problem. In conveyancing terms - he has paid all his fees to TG Baynes and 2 months later he is getting penalty notices from the government saying he hasn't paid stamp duty (something he has paid TG Baynes to do for him!) My advice, if you want someone who cares, who is professional and conscientious do not use TG Baynes. Their unprofessional-ism has cost us money, continues to do so and is now landing us with penalty fees. I would choose any solicitors in the area except TG Baynes

We bought from a couple living abroad so Beth at Acorn had to work hard to coordinate information and communicate between us all. She was really helpful and quick to respond, even though we weren’t her client. We would definitely use her again.

The Daily Out Blog

Booked 2 viewings. I’m based in central London, so it takes me a while to travel to the location. The first viewing I had a massive clash with the agent as I was running 5 minutes late due to public transport and this 20 yo called me saying he was busy and needed to leave, and he was doing me a favour. What an attitude. The second viewing they suspended the overground, and had no way to travel, other than re-routing by changing about 3 tube lines and one train line, and the train line was badly delayed, so another major clash with the same agent. I called the branch again, spoke to the branch manager and he started lecturing me on the fact that you need to allow plenty of time to travel with London transport. Really? Because I had no idea people can teletransport if they allow enough time? It seems they are not in the business of selling properties but to show how important they are and putting potential buyers off. If I were selling a property I would avoid them, as so many buyers wouldn’t come back to do viewings with them, no matter how amazing the property could be. Also, please note that a lot of the positive reviews are quite suspicious, of people with one review each, strangely after a not so positive one to balance their lower score!
