We used Max Rogers at Harpers on the recommendation of a friend. Not only is he a friendly super helpful efficient guy, I think he is a miracle worker.
We were abroad for a few week and just left Max to get on with it, he photographed the property and had the brochure to us to for approval within 2 days which we approved immediately.
We then didn’t hear anything for a week and couldn’t see my property on the Harpers website so I called Max. He explained that the property had been added to their site but then removed due to considerable interest. He advised he had 11 viewings already booked and fully expected an offer by the weekend. He hasn’t wanted to disturb us as we were away.
Three days later we had three offers and went back for best and final offer securing a sale in less than a week at well over asking price.
I cannot say anything other than fantastic and highly recommend Max and the team at Harpers

I was a first time buyer and found a property I wanted to view. I knew it was the one as soon as I saw it. Max gave me the viewing and was very informative and answered all my questions. I decided I wanted to go ahead with purchasing the property and from start to finish Max has been amazing, any questions I’ve had he has answered, always contactable and reply’s promptly. I’ve had a few issues with solicitors (who hasn’t) but he has been happy to make calls and chase up the relevant parties to get everything moving as quickly as possible. Selling our family home of 25 years has been a very emotional experience for me. Max, at the Wendover Branch of Harpers, has been totally understanding throughout. Recently we sold our house in which we spent 19 happy years. We are both old and needing to reduce reliance on the car. We decided to move to be near shops, restaurants, medical and other facilities. After consulting friends and researching the internet we invited a few estate agents to give us their valuations and explain their services. Max Rogers came representing Harpers.
So, why did we choose Harpers? His valuation was not necessarily the highest. Looking back now, what impressed us most was the feeling that he was straight forward and someone who would be on our side throughout the process. We were to be proved entirely correct.
Max is obviously very professional and in particular, everything he organised, from photography, presentation, marketing and negotiation, were all to an impressive standard. Above all Max is an extremely good communicator, meaning, that not only did he express himself directly and clearly, but he is also an excellent listener.
Now, what about his firm, Harpers? The branch we dealt with is small, but in a way this proved to be its strength. Whoever answered the 'phone when Max was absent, left the clear impression that they regarded us as their personal clients and could not do enough for us. The whole firm was totally supportive.
If ever we have to go through this stressful process again, would we appoint Max Rogers and his firm, Harpers again? Without the least doubt, the answer is an emphatic, YES. Will we recommend them to others? Equally so.

My wife & I viewed our new house when first marketed by Harpers some months previous. The agent was generous with his time showing the property, imparting vital detail and extra information about the local facilities and the area in general. He was enthusiastic and whilst we immediately liked the property, he really made us feel comfortable and confident that it was right for us, whilst giving the impression that if it wasn't, he would say so. We lost out to an early bid, but I asked to be kept informed of developments.
When the transaction failed, Harper's were immediately in touch and I had a weekly phone call until our own was sale agreed and we were in a position to offer.
Harpers has kept us in touch with developments at every stage and cleared up questions and queries we had with the vendor, additionally assisting by prompting the legal teams involved where developments temporarily stalled. My calls have always been answered promptly, this is not something every agent can boast.
I highly recommend Harpers to anyone contemplating a move. They offer a highly professional and personal, friendly service.

We retained Harpers to sell our property after having several agents view our house. Harpers came across as knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. But, just as importantly, they instilled confidence that they knew the market, understood our house, and were able to present its unique features to prospective buyers. They took the time to have professional photographs taken, and a brochure produced, that showed our house beautifully. We had many viewings in short order, and we had 3 offers. We were very happy when we achieved the price we wanted. Throughout the whole selling process, which is naturally stressful, until exchange, the sales team were very reassuring and kept us informed of progress at every stage. They are a caring bunch of people, who we felt wanted to do the best they could for us.

Harpers Estate Agents in Wendover are dealing with our house purchase and the house we offered on was the first house we looked at that was being listed by Harpers. However, they got us a viewing the next day where we met Max. He was very professional and personable and gave as all the information we needed. He has since been incredibly good with communication and has also offered assistance with surveyors etc. Although not at the end of the process I fully recommend Harpers and hopefully our sale will all go through swimmingly.
