Update April 24 They've been terrible with managing the property and have now decided to withhold rent from me. I'm trying to terminate the contract after two years of having the same tenant and they're demanding I continue to pay unless I evict the tenant. Kashif the owner is unprofessional. If it weren't for Nick I would not have been able to inspect the property and know it was run on a room by room basis. Nick is excellent but unfortunately has to take orders from Kashif. I would not recommend Homegain to anyone. They literally lie through their teeth. Often when I ask for a written response to any query they call instead to browbeat me! __________________________________ They used to be reasonable before COVID-19 but now they don't even respond to emails. They have not been paying me rents nor giving me any information. They say they cant give me copies of contract nor contact numbers of tenants because they're in lockdown. Have other owners experienced that? They gave covid discounts to the tenants without my authority.... Read more

Terrible agent, not trustworthy at all. Nick has been professional but the owner Kashif is not. Homegain has withheld rent due to a disagreement and are totally unprofessional. Extremely rude too and are using blackmail to get us to sign documents. Tenants have complained that they cannot contact them during emergencies and we have had to deal with issues despite paying Homegain.... Read more

I have let out my property’s with Homegain for the last few years and have had no issues or problems they not look after the management of the property but also any relevant issues such as licensing ,compliance certifications and any issues with the property if they occur eg any repairs have there own handymen which is a big plus. The prolonged maintenance issues for more than a year now are fixed due to Nick's intervention. I am happy that the reviews here are being read and taken seriously. Upgrading to 4 ???? ------?--------?------------------- Original review : Very shabby service for the amount that we pay. All that they are concerned here is getting a tenant and regular rent. There was not even a basic cleaning done on the day we were suppose to rent in. House was a mess which previous tenants left in welcoming us. Had to call them multiple times, a lot of follow ups. False promises during the house viewing related to furnitures available. We still have few maintenance issues pending which are not yet addressed, even after a year! Stay away if you can!... 1 star is generous, dodgy lettings management, tenants always complaining about their management and would always then come to me directly, ask to leave them and they reduce their rate and get aggressive if you insist, do not use this agency...crooks the lot of them...they do not renew tenancy agreements and when you question they say "oh its rolling month by month", I didn't want that! they do zero gas and electric checks, never do house visits to check on the condition of the property...yet they charge you for those services! honestly stay well clear...crooks the lot of them...you could get in serious trouble if you allow these lot to manage your lets.... Very overpriced for a shoddy service. Was given the wrong address for the first viewing so ended up knocking on the wrong door. I had 2 viewings in total and the estate agent wasn't there for either, I met directly with the landlady. I only met the estate agent once a week later to photocopy some documents, and was then charged £600 for the whole thing. When I enquired what the fee was covering, it wasn't very clear. Wouldn't reccommend at all for landlords or tenants.... Read more
