Emma, Jon and the girls have been absolutely fantastic in selling my Mum's home in Whitby. I don't live in Whitby so most of our interactions have been remote. I met Jon in person for the valuation and found him very knowledgeable and personable. The valuation was spot-on! Emma and team took care of all of the communications from there and also took care of all of the viewings. They have found us some really nice first time buyers who I'm sure will look after Mum's home as much as Mum and Dad did for all of those years. I highly recommend Hope and Braim estate agents. Fantastic level of service from the whole Hope & Braim team, from photography and advertising, to negotiating, to then selling. The team kept me updated with progress of the sale very well, and communicated everything exceedingly well in comparison to past experiences with other estate agents. I also got recommended a solicitor, who were excellent throughout the sale. The whole process of selling my late mum's house was made easier by the H&B team, and I can't thank them enough.

Hope and Braim were professional and efficient from the moment we rang them, right the way through to completion. Every member of the team we dealt with, whether on the phone, via email or face to face, could not have been more helpful or supportive. Jon came to view and value the house. Unlike others that had quoted for us, he took the time to measure up the house in order to get an accurate size of the house, rather than simply see it as a 3 bed semi, so that he could value the house accurately and know how to pitch the sale of the house to potential buyers. Similarly, when things got a little bogged down with solicitors, the rest of the team were always on hand to either let us know what was going on or to make contact with the rest of the chain via our buyers. We would definitely recommend them.

Emma was brilliant, she went out of her way to ensure everything went smoothly and she was instrumental in facilitating communication with the buyer of our property earlier in the chain. This proved to be crucial in preventing the chain from collapsing due to the inaction and ineptitude of the other Estate Agent representing the sale of the first property in the chain.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!! A absolute terrible experience from start to finish. We had our property sold on three separate occasions in less than 6 weeks. But still have not completed a sale due to ignornace, arrogance and lack of communication. Hope & Braim pride themselves on 30 years experience in selling properties. They fail to communicate affectively, they have no time to talk through important information and if your lucky they don’t answer their phones. The sale agents will be happy to sell your property some 40k under their valuation just to agree a sale. The greed & lack of commitment to the seller Is staggering. If you like been treated like you’re doing something wrong and minimised when communicating important information then Hope & Braim are the estae agemts for you. The lack of communication is staggering and they are only out fortheir own greed. Please be warned these people are something else and will do anything for a sale even if that’s means underselling you’re properry. Greed Greed Greed!!! Is the only language they understand.

Thoroughly professional service from first interview to completion. Should I ever have need again I will have no hesitation, and if someone asks for a recommendation, they will have it. Nothing was too much trouble either on the phone or in person, and always a smile. My sale was a commercial freehold with a sitting tenant, which could have presented difficulties, but they smoothed everything out. Initial marketing produced an avalanche of viewings, which were always to be accompanied, and it was never any trouble. Thanks, both, for everything.

After having recommended Emma and Jon to several of my friends and reading their reviews, I realised I hadn't left a review regarding the purchase of my property in Whitby!!
They were extremely helpful and knowledgable all through the procedure. But Emma went above and beyond as the estate agents managing my sale in Manchester were really slow and it was looking like we may lose our house due to their incompetence. At my wits end I told Emma my plight and using her knowledge of the system helped me to get my solicitor and agent to move quicker than they may have done without her help!
The upshot was completing just before Christmas so the vendors of our property could complete their onward purchase too.
All in all there is no better team to entrust your house sale or purchase with....their hands on approach is the very best I have ever encountered in all my years of buying and selling properties.

I was selling an up market house in Sandsend and my mums flat in Whitby. Jon came out to value my mums flat, I told him that I was thinking of selling my Sandsend house but I thought I would sell it through an up market estate agent rather than a local one. Jon suggested we go and look at the Sandsend house there and then. He convinced me that it would be better to stay with a local agent. less than two weeks later the Sandsend house was advertised beautifully and sold for £100 more that I was hoping to sell it for. Jon and Emma have been amazing throughout the sale. I am so pleased I put the house for sale with Hope and Braim.
