Very quick response to my request to value and sell my property. I have been kept in touch at all times (despite living 400 miles from Whitby!). The staff are all very approachable and make me feel like an established client, not a "first timer".... Read more

Not a good experience. This agency offered a property for sale in Port Mulgrave, near Whitby, and we had offer accepted. Turned out near completion that the owner had debts secured against it which he was unable to pay, so the house was unbuyable. Imagine our surprise when we learned that the same agency had marketed the house three years earlier with similar financial issues arising! Additionally, there was a boundary dispute which we weren't told about and which had also manifested earlier. We have paid out £1,000 in solicitor fees and got nothing. Although we are assured the agency did not know about the specific financial issues this time around, nobody from the office has been in touch since we pulled out to express regret about the situation which we have now wasted four months of our lives handling. Worse still, the property is still up on their website for sale! Anyway, a word of warning to anyone who sees 62 Rosedale Lane for sale -- don't touch it with a barge pole. It's unbuyable, as we, very much to our cost, have learned a hard way. On a general note, the communications with this agency were always very poor -- badly composed emails, etc. Sorry, have to be honest. Not a good experience.

Property listings are matched to data from the Land Registry by our clever algorithm. Clever as it may be, it isn't always right, especially if a property was listed by multiple agents. The asking price is the original listing price, NOT the final listing price.
