If I could rate 0 stars I would. They will take obscene amounts from your deposit for no reason. They have deducted a £400 cleaning charge for a ONE BEDROOM FLAT. This is extortionate, and extremely heartless in the cost of living crisis we find ourselves in. I understand a cleaning charge, but how can anyone justify £400? If you are thinking of renting through these people, save yourself some money and go through another company. I have been through several renting agencies, and have never had anyone try to steal such a high amount off our deposit.
They also make you do the viewings yourself, despite this being part of what they are employed to do. You have to show people around which doesn’t seem fair.

We have been renting a property with this agency for over a year and they are excellent. They are professional and very efficient. Whenever a problem surfaced they dealt with it within 24 hours. Our reference is Martin but all the staff are really excellent! Thanks, Max.

We were the buyers of a property that IPS were selling. This Estate Agent has strength in depth of experienced professionals and understands proper customer service.
We were open and honest with IPS and they to us. Together with the vendor, we all worked together to complete the deal efficiently.
If I needed an Estate Agent, IPS would be at the top of the list.

I used to be a private landlord, but since falling on slightly harder times I've been renting. I mention this to show that I know how property rental should be managed from both sides of the fence. Either way IPS are excellent. They deliver what they say they will. They take care of their customers, and they are reliable.
After faffing around with a number of other chelmsford agents, some of whom were quite frankly gratuitously unpleasant and snooty about my partner and I, we fortunately found IPS who quickly understood exactly what we needed, and found an excellent flat which matched our needs and budget exactly. Unlike a lot of other agents they didnt have a load of pointless procedural red-tape, but instead concentrated efficiently on the important aspects of making sure that we could genuinely afford the place, and that we would be reliable tennants.
Highly reccomended.
