They're utterly abysmal at communications. Even the simple process of calling them up to put an offer in on a house is painful and extremely slow. You'd have to be absolutely insane to sell your house with these clowns with the plethora of better options available elsewhere. There are two obvious locally based alternatives. Excellent estate agent. We used John Sankey to sell our property and buy our new home. They found us a buyer in less than a week and supported us through our sale and purchase which ended up being far from straightforward as the probate system became involved. Nick and the sales team did a great job of marketing our property and then Ben was amazing at keeping us informed of every step of the sale and purchase, tirelessly ringing and chasing solicitors where necessary and making sure things were done when they needed to be done - this certainly took the stress away. I cannot praise Sankey’s and especially the staff, highly enough. They recently dealt with the sale of my deceased mother’s house and went above and beyond with a very awkward company who were buying to let. The very friendly and knowledgeable staff guided us through the process and nothing was too much trouble for them. They achieved a value for the property which was 10% more than other local estate agents suggested as a top value and this was done for a fixed fee which was more than reasonable. I would recommend their services to anyone and will certainly use them again if the occasion arises. Remember, ‘More people use John Sankey than for any other reason’. That was always my favourite local advert and now I know exactly what it means. Thanks again.... Read more

Me and my partner were first time buyers, and John Sankey were the estate agents that the vendors of the property we were buying chose. We did not have the best experience with our solicitors but Lisa at John Sankey has been absolutely incredible. She helped us with every little thing despite not really being our estate agent! Any question we had was never an issue, and she helped push things along when it felt like we weren’t getting anywhere. I was buying a house that they were selling. I was a 1st time buyer so i didn't understand their protocol. Lisa and Ben were very quick to help. I didn't realise how much estate agents do get involved. In some respects they were more informative than my own solicitor. They also had their own recommendations for a solicitor. Ben was always sending me emails with updates. Lisa was always ringing or emailing me with information about the house buying process. If I could give John Sankeys 10* I would have. I will definitely use this estate agents in the future.... Read more

Unbelievablely unprofessional. Giving out personal details, always had JUST received an email when I rang, took over a year to sell my home due to them not background checking the buyer, had to find a new one after 9 months!! This should have been known when they checked her money wasn't in place. I will admit that once it all fell through after 9 months and the main duties where taken away from the regular employees where taken over by the manager things went much smoother but it shouldn't have ever got to that point.
