Spoke with Keon in-store and he was beyond helpful. He explained the process of purchasing a property, getting a mortgage and what he could offer me. We found a few that I am interested in and I will always come to Kings where property is concerned, just because of their excellent customer service skills.

I have recently (May 2022) ended a tenancy in a property I found via Kings Group Hackney. I am now unfortunately unable to retrieve my deposit as my landlady has apparently refused to give Kings Group permission to do so despite the fact that there are no issues whatsoever in terms of damage to the property or missing rent etc. The agent who originally dealt with me at the Hackney Branch has gone to ground and has not replied to a single e-mail I've sent regarding this situation (I believe he has moved to another nearby branch) Meanwhile Kings Group Head Office has been quite unhelpful, sending sporadic terse responses to my messages and providing little in the way of concrete help. I have been forced to open a case with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme but have no idea when this issue will be resolved.
Please beware of the landlords Kings Group work with. I've learned the hard way some are quite unscrupulous and Kings Group will do very little to help if difficulties arise. If KG respond to this review I'm sure it will be along the lines of "we find tenants but do not manage this property" as they absolve themselves of all responsibility!
UPDATE: Further to the comment from Kings Group below, the landlord has indeed agreed that Kings Group can release my deposit but to date their Accounts has not transferred this to me. I have asked for an update and received zero response. I was informed by the Tenancy Deposit Scheme that Kings Group assured them that I had received my deposit and the matter was closed but this is certainly not the case!

They valued property and invented customers/clients who wanted to visit to be instructed. No visits arranged by them. One of their agents ruined a newly varnished floor by walking all over it. Then he tracked varnished over other floors. Promised they'd put it right but never did. All mouth and no trousers. Cannot recommend at all.

Avoid flat 6 Southgate Road - Southgate court (landlord Paul Precilla) - Worst experience with a landlord ever. Dishonest and rude. Asked us to repaint the wall of the entire flat when we only stayed 3 months because of covid and never damaged the place. (600£ for one stain on the wall that we've never done). Asked for a professional cleaning but rent us a disgusting place, the dishwasher never worked and had never been fixed despite us asking many times. When the flat was empty because of covid and one of our friend came to moved our things out he left her outside the flat, with no place to go, she had to pay for 2 nights in an hotel when she was supposed to stay in the flat. This is illegal as we are in the right to invite someone in our flat to stay for 2 nights, especially when the person is coming to empty the flat and considering this period of time (uk borders closed, covid etc).

NEVER DEAL WITH THESE ESTATE AGENTS - What a shame we cannot mark zero.
For the year 2021 we had the most awful experience by renting a flat through this group. Be careful not to rent the Southgate Road, Southgate Court, Flat 6 with the landlord Paul Prescilla !!!! He is the most hateful person in the world, he was never accommodating during the duration of our contract with him. We were 3 students, we only lived in the flat for 3 months because of COVID. When time arrived for us to give the flat back in August 2021, Paul asked for a professionally cleaned flat whereas we received the flat a year before in a DISGUSTING condition. Moreover, a week before giving our deposit back he came back to us with many remarks (some of them were unfounded) from the new inventory he made whereas new tenants where already in the flat !!! When we asked him to see the proof thanks to before / after pictures, he never showed us like he had to because its is its role as a landlord. The worst of all is that he doesn't even feel sorry, this guy is the worst landlord: unkind and dishonest like I've never seen before. AVOID THIS FLAT !!! On top of that our contact at Kings Letting did not care at all about our disagreement: they are completely USELESS.

Just recently completed the sale of my house, which initially had a couple of major issues, one of which was the first sale falling through.... However, all was not lost with Imran Hussain at Kings Mare St, our excellent sales negotiator and dare I say project manager. Imran, kept both buyer and seller informed and working together to get the deal done and to make the 30 June stamp duty deadline (for the buyer) a reality, failing which yet another sale may well have fallen through! Imran’s people skills and winning personality is second to none!

I cannot fault the service that I experienced from Kings group and from Jack and the team. They were the most professional of all of the firms by far during selection. Viewings were dealt with in an efficient manner with alerts each time a viewing was booked and courtesy calls. On completion day, they even stayed with the buyer and managed a very awkward situation where the door broke and wouldn’t open for the new buyers! So they stayed there with the locksmith and managed the locksmith and the new buyers in such a professional way. Would have no hesitation in recommending them

Viewing and buying during the COVID-era was made straightforward and personal by Kings Group Hackney and our guardian agent, Imran Hussein.
As first-time buyers, we stumbled into a bidding race without a mortgage already set up... BAD DECISION! But Imran, recognising our keenness, and in the face of vendors, agents and solicitors calling for our heads, really did everything in his powers to steady the ship.
I’m pretty sure he helped the vendors get what they also needed out of the sale too; so overall, a great result for everyone and Imran, A+ for brinkmanship!

We have been so impressed by Kings Group Hackney. They have helped us sell our flat and buy our house. We believe we got a good price for the sale of our flat and we had offers only a few weeks into viewings. Our Sales Negotiator Terry Hartley has been amazing. He has always been at the end of the phone when we needed him and has helped liaise between everyone. As everyone knows, buying a house is really stressful but Terry has been cool and calm when we needed him to be! Jack Shorten, the Sales Manager has also been fantastic. He has worked tirelessly to keep the chain together. There were times when the whole thing could have fallen apart but thanks to Jack, he managed to keep everything on track. If you are renting property through these expect to treated appallingly, by office staff are often rude. The office staff assume that as you are renting, you are therefore unemployed, and must be at home 24-7; that if you can’t make their appointments (that are usually given to you with aprox 48 hours notice for a mid day appointment) you are hiding something, not that you have a job and need more notice that that to get a day off work. They insist that you pay them by bank transfer but then when they have to pay you they charge you for a bank transfer.
