We mainly dealt with Nik Kershaw who is a consummate professional and clearly highly experienced, but everyone in the office was equally capable, and always knew what was going on with our sale when I rang for an update. We called Lane & Holmes initially to inquire about selling our apartment in the future. We were in no hurry , but explained we were planning to move abroad permanently. Nik came round and we had a very informal chat, absolutely no pressure and agreed we would call him once we made the decision.
At no point did he bother us or try to rush us into a decision. When we were ready, everything happened really smoothly. The photographer Lane& Holmes used was brilliant and the pictures of our place definitely stood out compared to other agents.
We had a steady flow of viewings and an offer very quickly. Nik played a big part in negotiating both with us and our buyer . We were able to come to an agreement due to his help. It felt really personal and comfortable.
He was always available by phone for any queries, also Cathy.
We have now completed without any complications and he was the first to congratulate us by phone.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lane & Holmes and can't imagine a better experience with any other agent.

Where can I start.. I am extremely grateful to Lane&Holmes estate agent. I had the pleasure to meet some of the nicest and kindest people who work in the estate agents world. I was blessed to have Nik Kershaw and all his colleagues to deal with, what I would describe a ‘complicated and sensitive’ matter when it came to selling my property because of the severity of the issues involved behind the scene. From the start up until the end Nik and his colleagues have been nothing but superb. They haven’t just provided me with an excellent service but dealt with my situation as a family. They went far and beyond when came to selling my house. Nik took me through every steps, organising presentation of the property, and photographers. They communicated via emails and phones, giving me enough notices in advance when it came to viewing the property. They made sure it suited my needs. They were very respectful and understanding given the circumstances under I was the selling the house (complicated divorce, with ex wife still living in the house). For me, the most important part is their patience with me. Things were getting a little frustrating but they kept their cool. In particular Nik went far beyond just working as an estate agent person. He personally visited me in several occasions and spent awful lot of time discussing, explaining and exploring how we can sell the house. He utilised all his experience and expertise selling the property. He wasn’t just a person working for the estate agent but someone I can call my friend. He helped me at the most difficult and lowest point of my time in this house and made the sale finally go through. He worked immensely and to him I felt it wasn’t just a job but far beyond a job. One example of this.. I recently ruptured my achillies and since been in a boot. Unable to drive or do much without family’s help. Prior to exchanging my contract, Nik took it upon himself to get my solicitor to send contracts over to him so he can print it, drive to my house get me to sign them and post it using special delivery from his own pocket money. Nik recognised and understood how difficult this would’ve been for me, given the fact I was in crutches and I’d struggle get things done, he took it upon him to print and come to me instead and then post it himself. Regardless, of how much the delivery costs was, I was touched by this experience. I Felt he genuinely cared and wanted to get this over the line for me, and not just someone working for the estate agent wanting to pocket their commissions. Given the circumstances I was in, I congratulate Nik and all his colleagues for everything they have done and for selling my house for me. I highly recommend Lane&Holmes Bedford to anyone person, family wishing to sell and or buy properties out there. Regardless of everything they have done, I know I’ve made some great friends in Lane&Holmes, particularly in Nik Kershaw.

Lane and Holmes sold my house for me this year. It was a challenging time with buyers panic buying, and after a couple of false starts, they matched my property with a buyer who was really committed to the purchase and who could actually afford it. Their sales brochure was superb, they pitched the price absolutely spot-on and they accompanied all viewings (and there were a lot!) and kept me informed of progress at all times. My property was in the Prime Minister's area and Lane and Holmes have a wealth of local knowledge which is crucial (online agents can't beat this).
