Avoid, avoid, avoid. If I could give no stars I would.
My first home when I moved to the UK, they asked I pay six months rent up front which I had no issue doing as I thought it was going to be a nice place to live. If I'd known what was going to happen I never would have done this.
In the nine months I lived there, there was little to no hot water on the property. I begged and begged for this to be fixed, they'd constantly send people out to "see what the problem was" but steps were rarely made to try and fix it.
There were also other smaller issues with the property they constantly said they'd get around to fixing which either took months or never happened.
Staff were really rude whenever contacted and refused to let me try and sort the hot water issue out with the landlord directly.
I asked for advice on Reddit and a lot of people have had similar awful experiences with this company. Don't waste your time or money on them.

£80 for an ID check when buying a house is just a money making scheme as it actually costs about £3. Refused to let me take my ID Into the estate agents to prove who I am. Then you are signed up so some scheme that you have to remember to opt out of or they charge you monthly. Not a good experience so far as a buyer

Just a terrible letting agency, they look nice, polite but when you get to any issues they are terrible, chase them for 2 months to sort the heating issue in the winter. Lately I got a phone call saying I owe them 6£ pounds however I should pay another 56£ in fees. No previous notice - nothing, out of nowhere, could have been contacted by email, phone, text message. Helpful when you try to move in, once in - really low or nonexistent quality of services. Would not recommend.

An Absolute superb estate agency. My house was put on the market on Tuesday and sold 2 days later . Keith Grant was extremely professional and worked very hard to get my house and photos online within 48 hours of the appraisal. He estimated my house accurately and I was offered the exact price that he suggested.

Most incompetent bunch of people I've come across who clearly cannot differentiate between habitable and inhabitable homes. Broken boilers, leaking ceilings, mould everywhere, cracked windows that do not open, no understanding of inclusivity, rude contractors and, the thickest and most selfish landlords you can imagine. Don't be fooled into thinking they're the lesser of two evils just because there are agencies that are worse. This agency is trash and I would advise that everyone avoid using them where possible.

Update: Leaders continue to fail to provide the most basic service. Often not collecting rent until I flag the issue. Their service has gone from bad to abysmal. Ill update if they manage to go one month without messing up in some way.
Update: The property wasn't vacant, there was a tenant that no one could contact. The tenant handed in their notice a month ago, but Leaders failed to start any advertising. Leaders once again have no idea where the tenant is, and if he will pay rent. An entire month and no lessons were learned.
Currently dealing with a vacant property because no one did a checkout at the end of a tenancy, or advertised for new tenants. Will add to the review if I get a response from them, but so far, my emails have been ignored.

I have been renting a studio flat in Brighton for just over a month. The flat viewing, tenancy checks and move-in was handled by Leaders. I was then handed over to their sister company, Romans. Unfortunately, since then, I have had an entirely negative experience with Romans. Since day one there have been multiple issues with the flat, including non-functional hot water, faulty electrics and faulty fire alarms, most of which have not yet been fixed despite numerous calls and emails. I should not have been allowed to move into a flat in this state. You can see the details in my review of the Leaders Romans Group head office in Berkshire.
I am writing this review of the Leaders branch for two reasons:
a) I thought Leaders would be my letting agency and property manager. Leaders did not make me aware that I would be handed over to Romans, and if I had been I would have objected, because
b) my nearest branch of Romans is in Guildford, 50 miles away from Brighton. I don't know why a letting agent is managing property in a city nowhere near any of their branches. This has made it a lot harder for me to get the issues in my flat fixed as it's a lot harder to convey these things (and the stress they've caused me) over the phone and by email than in-person. When there isn't a physical branch which I can go into, with people I can speak to in person, it removes a lot of the power I have as a tenant to make myself heard

Absolutely horrible. I don’t know where else to turn at this point. I was allowed to move in without being informed by anyone at all that there would be constant and extremely loud building works on half of the building outside my windows for over half of my tenancy. I work from home and have had countless meetings and work days cancelled due to the noise. Me and my partner have to shout to hear eachother. My front door also has no mortice lock. I have emailed countless times and rang in the last 6 months quite literally begging just to receive a date for when the building works will be finished and when I can expect a replacement lock for my door. I have received no response. At all. I am disgusted and fed up.

Leaders are the most useless and negligent agency I have ever rented with. The flat I rent through them has had ongoing maintenance issues from the day I moved in. Endless things broken and not replaced or unusable including the boiler leaving myself and two, two year olds without hot water or heating multiple times for sometimes as long as two weeks. Terrible damp and mould throughout with nothing being done to improve the conditions. Emails and phone calls ignored and not responded to by the property manager Matthew Jelley. We have been exposed to carbon monoxide for months. Latest issue is fungus growing on walls and out of floorboards. Totally negligent people and agency. Toddlers have ongoing asthma issues from the damp and black mould. Landlord and agency do nothing. Ongoing leak which has caused damage to personal belongings. The only person who was sent to investigate leak two weeks after it started (with water coming through daily) was told they could not gain access whilst I was at work as the agency had lost my key. Disgraceful.

I really urge more professionalism from the letting agents, as myself and my partner had a weird experience from start to finish. After being told we’d been accepted on a property and needed to arrange a move in date, the letting agent started to appear hesitant when my partner started discussing what dates worked best. The letting agent, Rudy, first told us that September would be best before then saying we’d need to move in ASAP seconds later. Ultimately we were due to have a date sorted on the Monday, but instead I received probably the most unprofessional email I’ve ever read being told the property was going back up for viewings. The email had no subject line, grammatical errors and spelling mistakes throughout, which isn’t exactly the best way to approach the situation. After sending a query back about the sudden change (for future reference when looking at other properties), I was promptly ignored. Obviously these things happen, but the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional and I’ve never experienced anything like it in my 5 years renting in Brighton. If you are going to put trainees in charge of a property, please make sure they know what they are doing.

Terrible estate agents. Poor communication. Don’t follow up, don’t answer emails and rarely pick up the phone.
First property we viewed with leaders we were interested in renting, the landlord went with another tenant but this was never communicated to us and we were left hanging for over a week until I eventually reached out.
There was a second property listed by leaders we were interested in, tried calling to book a viewing but the call was disconnected promptly upon answer. I was eventually able to book a viewing but the estate agent was not there and had to be told by the existing tenant that viewings were cancelled.

Nick (Nicholas Mackmin?Wood) and the Leaders Western road branch team were very helpful. Nick always promptly answered all the questions I had before my move. He was very professional and helpful.
I was new to the UK, and it was my first time renting a place, but everything went very smoothly. All the activities related to my move were performed online. These include tenant references, consent to obtain my credit history, and signing the tenancy agreement. The only time I had to visit the branch was to collect the keys on the move-in date.
On the day I moved to the property, Leaders sent me an online form in which I can provide my feedback and comments (including the pictures) on the rented property. It captured meter readings of Electricity, Gas, and Water. It also had different sections for the bedroom, lounge, bathroom, and kitchen with pictures and the comments provided by the inspector regarding their cleanliness and the condition. I also could disagree with them if needed and provide my comments. Later, I received a constructive document with pictures regarding the inventory and my feedback being provided. I think this is very good because it has captured all the stuff that is available there including my comments on their condition and the cleanliness.
I got a box of some goodies with the keys from leaders and it was very helpful too. I wish Leaders all the best and thank you Nick for being such a wonderful person.

Nobody is perfect ????. I have rented a flat for 8 years. I have to resume that in general Leaders has always resolved any problem I have in the house or with the building company. ???????a few times it could have been a bit of a delay, because of the pandemia. Leaders have always solved any issues with the landlord's propriety. I have to be honest in my personal case. I have read the different opinions from other people. I have to say, they are very sensible to any call or email ????. Because of the pandemia, things are different, but even so, I have never have to wait. When twice I stayed blocked inside my home because of the key ???? door broke, they sent on a Sunday a good specialist to solve this. The flat inspection is done ever 6 months, Lucia was always very nice gentle they were never intrusive. The last agent Matthew took always my side to solve a matter with the appointment with British ?gas, he was always available, the whole day, he gave me any possible information I needed, he called in person for the appointments. He is always helpful ? patient, he try to move all the possible on earth ????to find, fix, the right solution. He really ????whatever you want to explain. I also can feel he is present, is not just his work. He is 100 % there. I feel so reassure when I have questions. I don't just feel like a tenant. I feel LEADERS has a very good group of workers in Western Road, as I was also at the office in person, Sophie was always solving problems in the past. I think she recommended the right agent for me. Like I said everyone is helpful, from the receptionist, the different agents. If I have to change apartment, I'm sure it will be again with LEADERS, they will know my personality, and what will be the ideal apartment for me. The team is promptly to be helpful, they are fresh and youthful. They will always find the solution and find a nice word to reassure I like they work in a team for the tenants. Matthew Jelley and the Leaders Property Management team have been managing my properties for around twenty years. Having a bad experience in the past with other letting agents I feel that a prospective Landlord should be very careful in their selection of a letting agent. Leaders should be top of any short-list for selection.
Matthew is always very responsive, getting back with a holding response or a conclusion on emailed matters within a few days, as well as being proactive and considerate of my time and views whenever awkward situations arise.

Money grabbing cowboys. Avoid at all costs. They'll attempt to charge a full clean against your deposit even if you've had the house and carpets professionally cleaned. Poorly maintained properties without a care for safety- check your smoke alarms (ours had a "replace by" date of 2015 but was still in use in 2019) and the 15 year old fridge freezer was dangerously hot at the back.

Leaders seem incredibly disorganised and ineffective, they have too many different groups of people who don’t communicate with one another and they don’t communicate with the tenant well either.
They have no knowledge of the content of their tenancy agreement, seem intent on marketing above providing any service and lie to their tenants.
Furthermore they are slow so things get done last minute or late and never seem concerned or apologetic for any problems.
They ignore questions for the most part, possibly to avoid having to say they don’t know the answer or lie.
I wouldn’t ever want to rent from them again nor would I let a property through them as I wouldn’t want another tenant to have this experience either.

In the past, I have had awful treatment from estate agents and landlords, as a disabled member of the LGBT community I have faced a lot of discrimination. Leaders have been so considerate, and professional and made my moving process smooth and made me feel very valued as a human being and tenant. We had very good support again this year 2020/21 despite the considerable organisational difficulties created by the pandemic. Nick and Laura have been absolute gems, I was a first time landlord and from my initial meeting with Nick to value my property to tenant moving in, he has been fantastic, he understood my needs as a first time landlord to help me understand the process what needs to be done and when and was there to guide me through it, he was proffessional all the way through and left me feeling confident I made the right choice going with leaders, especially having met a fair few other agents. The big thing for me was that Nick had based his value of my property having seen it, valuing it on its own merits as it is a unique and very high standard property, where as other agents hadnt taken this into account and barely even looked round the property before valuing it, infact other agents valued it based it on size and dimensions before even setting foot in the poperty. Laura was fantastic too, efficient and always at the end of the phone to answer questions and both of them turn things round very quickly which is more than anyone can ask for in this industry. You get what you pay for with these two and in my opinion well worth it above other maybe slightly cheaper agents, they had made it easy and conveinient and there work has made me trust them, which is a difficult task with me! My future business will be going straight to these two in the future as I do have plans to expand a portfolio.

Avoid like fire!!! If I had known how unprofessional they are, I'd never rent with them! (Leaders company.)Unfortunately, I've only read bad reviews after signing the contract. They seemed very professional at first. Then all hell broke loose. Problems never stopped until the end of the contract. Flat was very dirty when recieved keys, they claimed it was cleaned. Certain aspects of tenancy agreement were fixed to my liking (as there was some vague stuff in it), to be never fulfilled in real life. Communication lacked of politeness, to put it likely. Issues weren't resolved. They tried to twist everything and blame us. Safe yourselves time, nerves and money. I'd give zero stars if I could!

We were in contact with Laura for this central flat, and they had clearly forgotten about the appointment with us. We actually walked to the office to remind them about it.
Not a great start.
The viewing itself felt rushed. But we liked it nonetheless, so by the next day we made an offer. Now.. It took nearly a week for someone to get back to us with an update, missing multiple deadlines (that were given to us by them, I might add) left us chasing with calls and/or emails. Told us to hold off until Friday, one more day, Tuesday and so on.
Once I had enough, it took me 1 minute to go on Google and find out that the letting was already agreed.
If this is not bad customer service, I honestly don't know what is.
For future reference, before updating the website, maybe give an update to potential clients that have been waiting for an answer for days on end.

We sold our flat through this branch of Leaders. Andrew Russel was excellent when he came to do the valuation and take photos, Andrew valued the flat at exactly the same amount as another estate agent but he was much more positive and determined, not pushy just positive about the sale. Unfortunately due to the pandemic we were unable to go to the flat to tidy it up before it went up for sale and Andy took the time to put things away and do finishing touches for us, I couldn't believe it. We've sold quite a few properties and this was a first for us, an agent who cared enough to ensure the place looked its best.
We were informed about each viewing and the feedback from each viewing. Then when the sale was agreed there was Charlotte who kept an eye on the sale going through and she contacted solicitors when she felt she needed to and was extremely diligent about not letting matters lie so that the sale was kept on track.
I have no hesitation in recommending this team of agents to sell your property.

We were promised £100 off our Virgin Media bill if we signed up for No Deposit for one month. After two months, no money off. Call Leaders 'Blah blah blah we have no record of this', call Virgin 'blah blah we have no record of this.'
I have been missold the No Deposit option under fraudulent pretenses.
Even from day one our letting experience from Leaders was the worst in Brighton, convoluted referencing procedures and no conversation between members of staff, one agent would tell me one thing and then one the total other. Stressed my guarentoors out, my partner and everyone involved with this greasy and sneaky estate agency.

I have had a very poor experience with Leaders, Western Road. They advertised a property, I responded straight away by email and phone (left multiple messages), received no response for 1.5 weeks. Then a viewing was arranged (which took a LOT of effort to chase them), only to be cancelled as I was standing outside the property having driven 1hr 20min to be there and rearranging work for the entire day (and I even emailed them the day before to check it was going ahead, which I had no response to). I have sent my feedback to Leaders directly as well, in an effort to improve their very disappointing customer service.

Two months later asking for rent payments as they didnt accept notice and didnt inform us! House in disrepair, carpet bugs and leaking ceiling. Mould, failure to fix things properly. Oh and they dont deal with repairs even tho its stated in contract that they can be contacted in this regard. Avoid agencies, especially this whole company. An unethical company whose business model is levying excess fees and withholding deposits. Moving in was fine, but during our tenancy we would get no help from the agents in contacting the landlord, and moving out was an absolute nightmare. We spent nearly a year in flat with a broken fridge and front window, which were never fixed despite promises. On moving out, I had to leave more than 5 messages for our agent who never returned the calls to discuss the moving out process, then tried to charge us extra fees afterwards for not following instructions never given to us. This is the kind of place that gives letting agents a bad name. I’ve never had such a negative experience with property managers as I did our year with Leaders.

I have seldom come across a more diligent or conscientious person than Tracey.

Leaders on Western Road has the backing of a large company but feels like an independent PLC. We've been in this flat for five and a half years, and all repairs/fixings have been addressed immediately and with friendly support. When we had a death in the family they even gave us flowers. We've also had great communication with contractors who have needed access to the property, and who are are also friendly and helpful, and will compliment you on your awesome dog. If you want absolute reliablity with a personal touch you should definitely use this branch.

I've had a mixed experience with Leaders so far. The flat I moved in to, although clean had various issues - cupboard doors hanging off, broken window catches and the oven door not shutting properly, which I discovered after I picked the keys up. As a landlord of another property myself, I assumed a reputable agency have would have checked all these things prior to a tenant moving in and sorted the issue then and there. Not a great start. I also experienced poor communication from the office team and unhelpful behaviour when a breakage occurred in the flat.
However, since voicing my concerns with Faye, in a fairly strongly worded email, the service has improved significantly. They are quick to respond to emails and endeavour to rectify issues promptly and helpfully.
I would have given them a higher rating if the experience I am having now with Leaders was like that from the beginning, it would be wise to treat your tenants as well as I expect you do your landlords, and it's shame it took me to voice my issues for the service to improve.

Run for your life before it's too late and avoid Leaders like the plague. Stay safe! I am here to share my dreadful and appalling experience with Leaders agency so that I can protect prospective tenants from being victims of this agent's dishonesty and cruelty and make sure that they run for the hills while they can.
I'm a mother of a 16 month old. Last November, I have signed a six months contract for an assured shorthold tenancy with Leaders agency. The whole experience with Leaders has been a terrible nightmare. After signing the contract, the agent has pushed me to pay a no deposit option of £289 that is not refundable and went straight in the agents pocket. That money hasn't been protected in any deposit scheme. I am not sure this is legal. The flat was in horrible conditions. It hadn't been cleaned or repaired. Two doors were broken and I had to pay to repair them. The kitchen's furniture was incredibly dirty and old. The windows had years of accumulated dirt and grease that I had to remove.
Since the start of the tenancy, Leaders and the landlord have done everything in their power to kick my son and me out of my flat, including harassment (unexpected inspections in my flat without giving the required 24 hour notice, landlord trespassing and stealing my belongings), abuse (some employees were often rude and mean to me both in oral and writing), threats, illegal eviction (Leaders agency has sent me an invalid 21 notice a few months ago to evict us after I asked for the boiler to be repaired), intentionally avoiding to carry out repairs (Leaders and landlord refused to carry out boilers repairs and left my son and me with no hot water for all the Christmas period). They also never carried out a proper inspection of the flat giving me 24 hours notice and never provided me with an inventory for the flat. Leaders also forced us to sign a contract with a scammer utility company called Spark Energy that forced us to pay unreasonably high bills of around 134£ for electricity in a month. At the end of the fixed term in mid May, Leaders attempted again to kick me and my 16 month old out of our flat through harassment with lots of phone calls and scary emails saying that I had to move out. Also the landlord keeps trying to illegally evict us and yesterday he also sent three cops to my flat who scared and harassed me and my son for no apparent reason. I wish I had read the reviews before choosing Leaders! Unfortunately I was in a hurry to find a home. Please don't make my same mistake! Having now read many appalling and terrible reviews about Leaders agency on the internet, I now understand I'm not the only victim of their dishonesty and cruelty. Apparently Leaders are well known scammers and a dishonest agency on the internet and they liaise with the worst and most dishonest landlords ever to steal tenants' money, force people to pay six months rent upfront without protecting their deposit and then try their best to illegally evict the tenants even getting to the point of making their life miserable and cause them general anxiety and fear through harassment, threats, illegal eviction and verbal and psychological violence, as in my case. Again, I would like to warn prospective tenants or buyers against using Leaders and to ensure they don't get trapped in their infernal net. I hope that Leaders Agency will be forced to shut down their illegal business everywhere. I really don't know at the moment what is worse between renting a house through Leaders or being homeless. Really stay away from these people! They are dangerous and you have the right to keep yourself and your family safe, happy and secure. I know it's not easy to find an honest and nice estate agent but hopefully there will be some that are better than this.
Hopefully justice, honesty and goodness will triumph.
Stay strong everyone and avoid negativity and cruelty as much as you can. Always surround yourself with positive people and environments.

Rented a property with Leaders and they were awful to say the least. I would seriously consider renting with another agent if Faye or Ben are your property managers. They are unable to follow Leaders own guidelines, reminders had to be sent the team of the 24 hour legal notice for entry and they take the best part of a month to return money owed to us. I would consider finding another agency so at least they can offer an average service, it would be a vast improvement from Faye and the team. Absolutely appalling. Update 23/5/19. The Leaders' team sent me a rental agreement (containing renters' addresses and other personal data) of someone else rental by mistake. This is in breach of GDPR laws. Incompetent at best.

Leaders was very attentive to detail from the first call I’ve made to them to inquiry about places to rent in Brighton. Instead of feeling scared or threatened during the procedure of finding a new house, I felt welcome and not even once I felt tricked into a negative environment. We rented an apartment for a fair price and, since we were coming from abroad, we had a special welcoming by our tenancy responsible, Alex Powrie. I have to say enormous thanks to Alex together with Leaders and the whole team for welcoming my husband and I so easily into our new city. We could find an apartment exactly how we wanted and where we wanted for the price we wanted, at the time we needed. I really thank Leaders for facilitating the rental process (the non deposit option was absolutely a FABULOUS approach for us coming from abroad) and making moving to a new place an easier task!

They increased the rent, but when we left they struggled to let it, so had to reduce it to way less than we ever paid. Do not go with this agent as they will take all of your money!

Service from Leaders was above and beyond. Very accommodating when it came to viewings, we met Alex in the office who took us to see 3 properties in one hit, we were told about the no deposit option too, something which suited us well, as our current deposit is still tied up with another agent.
Referencing went smoothly, again Alex helped us through it in the office, but in fairness the whole team was very supportive, who ever picked up the phone managed to give us the answers we needed. Very highly recommended, will probably use Leaders again to either Let or to Buy!

I do not recommend Leaders, especially their branch on western road. I came in August and the move in day was on 2 of August. They didn’t hand me the keys of the flat till 15 of August. They claim that the reference company couldn’t reach any of my previous references in the USA, even though they asked me to pay 6 months in advance. Leaders lacks honesty and professionalism. They didn’t even bother to update the contract and change my move in date to 15 August. What is worse, they are not willing to admit the truth because when I moved out to a new place through Fox and Sons, I asked Leaders for a letter proving that I had transferred the previous 6 months rent in advance which took an age to receive and then all they sent me was small pictures of paper. I handed them the keys on 31 January leaving the flat in very good condition. I even managed the property from my own purse because the landlord didn’t respond at all to my correspondence concerning repairs. To date of today ,I have not got my deposit back despite emailing them with my bank details a long time ago. I don’t recommend them because they are very good at deceiving clients and they are very easy to loose trust in.

If ever I emailed her she would ALWAYS get back to me in a timely manner and she would work hard to make sure everything ran smoothly what ever the problem and centred everything around me being the tenant! That was the ending of the case no doubt. My comment and ratting still stands and your reply only focus on one specific case at the end of the tenancy. Not the other 3 times I called for issues related with electric faults and leaks. Also important to refer the errors on the value amount of the deposits (to what I was called later after to moving in to pay the difference) and copies of the contract with missing pages (some emailed some printed, never got a full matching set). I am most happy I delivered the property in the best state possible and the landlord agreed. I have a clear conscience on this matter. It is fair to say Leaders did fix the problems. But only after I had to lose time and my temper. Your service was not good at the time and you are now on damage control arguing with me once again. Maybe other clients had better experiences. I did not and have no problem in saying so. Thank you

I was house hunting for about 2 weeks and I had literally given up on finding the right property, as Christmas time wasn’t really the ideal moving time. When walking down Western road, I came across Leaders, they had a number of adverts of in their display of properties that looked refrubished and mostly new. As soon as I walked into letting angency, I was greeted by the agents and everyone seemed so friendly and excited! Keep in mind that this was all around 5:30 PM and leaders closes at 6. Not only did they take my details and find me a property instantly, but they actually took the time to book me in for a viewing at 5:50, literally 20 minutes after I walked in. Alex, one of the letting agents, after the viewing did a remarkable job at securing the property for me! It took me 1 week to move in !! Had a brilliant experience, very friendly, supportive and funny staff - would definitely 100 percent recommend them to anyone looking to let a property in the UK !!

We mainly worked with the office when it was based in five ways but have been advised we now deal with western road. As tenants we received very good service whilst in the property the issues appeared when the tenancy ended, emails would take days to receive a reply with some being ignored completely.
I understand that once our tenancy had finished the landlord becomes the focus for you as a company but to this day we have still not received our deposit. For example the office appeared to support claima made by the landlord that the front door lock needed replacing when the lock was not only completely functional when we left but worked completely fine for the estate agent completing our checkout report. He used the same keys we did and the same keys the landlord then claimed no longer worked. I feel it would have been an easy fix for your office to point this out but I was informed you had done all you could and would no longer negotiate.
Leaving a review as I now hear nothing from the estate agents, seems like the only thing left to do is inform other potential tenants.

My student son used this company paid a holding deposit after they agreed to keep a property for him ..... 4 days later he receives a call to say they have messed up and given it to someone else , which left him with no property to move into and an huge amount of distress . Mistakes happen - so expected they would return his holding deposit to him as a matter of urgency !! 3 weeks later after numerous promises he is still without his deposit and after my partner called the branch asking to speak to the manager he was put on hold and then hung up on!!!!!

A pain free service from me , very organised and prompt in everything that they did for me , from point of 'check in' to 'check out' all of my issues and questions were resolved , I unfortunately did not have 1 property manager to deal with but have had very good experiences when dealing with Faye , Jamie, Chloe , Jon , Nikki , Ellie and Ben .... There a lots of staff in this agent and all very helpful .....This company is on the right lines

Went to a viewing today. Couple viewing the property before me had already been waiting for the estate agent to arrive before I arrived and she still hadn't shown up. She didn't try and get in contact with any of us, despite having our numbers. Tenant in the property was already waiting before the first couple had gotten there, with no indication of arrival from estate agent either. We rang the office and they weren't sure if she was on her way or already in the property. We had all waited half an hour before she eventually turned up with a small apology. Turned out she left the office at the time she was meant to start the viewing with the first couple. We were given the option to view the flat all together or separately, but none of us wanted to wait any longer, so I ended up viewing the flat with the couple, which was fine, other than it felt like I was thinking about moving in with them, which was obviously not the case! Very strange, like a way to push people to go for the property when viewing as a group, because of competition. Highly unprofessional, considering their extortionate rates for all the admin fees, which equate to about a full months rent.

Overpriced fees. They are nice until get your money then stop replying emails, rude on the phone.
It took more then 1 month to get my deposit back after many emails and phone calls. I had to make a claim on TDS to put some pressure.

One of the worst estate agents I have ever dealt with. I have been waiting over 6 weeks for my deposit to be returned because the landlord wants to decide how much he wants to take out!! How much he wants to take out not what's needed to be taken which is £0 needed up having to repair things myself and replace my front door barrel lock as the old one didn't lock but it wasnt urgent in leaders eyes. Didn't get reimbursed for my expense. The place was left immaculate all freshly decorated yet they are trying to claim money for a finger mark on a door and a stain on the window seal which was there when we moved in yet they didn't pick up in the inventory which is very convenient as now they are trying to claim on my behalf for it. Should rename themselves 'stealers' not leaders absolute joke of a company. Avoid at all costs

Absolute leaches! They charge extortion for referencing and then charge to release your referencing information to your new agency literally sucking money from where ever they can. £36 to pass on if I paid my rent on time, how long lived there and how much I pay every month. Literally holding my own personal information at ransom. I cant wait to move to a new estate agents. The only thing I will miss is our lovely landlord who sorted everything out for us while leaders scraped off as much profit as they could for doing literally nothing. What a horrendous estate agency.

Worst letting agency in Brighton. Don't trust me, just ask around. They're notorious for being unhelpful, for being very expensive and looking for ways to not return the deposit. You pay them a hell of a lot of money and all they give back is a lot of hassle.

Leaders have managed my property in hove through many tenancies. The beauty of the full management service is in the first class troubleshooting service. Sophie has recently masterminded a route through a complex unexpected rewire requirement and has proven herself completely brilliant by getting the Leaders electrical contractor through floorboards of another flat. I couldn't have done any of the things she did with the many contacts she had. My bill has gone down, thanks to her hard work and initiative, from 8400£ to just under 3000£. Managing agents, good ones like Sophie at leaders, save you a fortune. Use them. Thank you so much!!!!!!

Leaders sales have now successfully sold 2 properties for us recently and have give excellent service with regular feedback on progress, but best of all, the advice given by Max when difficulties arose was excellent, in one instance putting relevant pressure on the purchaser's solicitor and in another instance advising us to stay calm and patient. In both instances his advocacy led to a successful outcome.

Out of the eight agencies we have went in and out of, leaders was definitely the most helpful and effective. I've also went in and out of leaders a few times dealing with different staff and I honestly have to say all the staff were very qualified especially Kate was very skillful, also had a genuine love and interest for her job, and was patient, she did her job 110%. Having recently relocated to the South East; specifically Brighton, I found myself in a very difficult position by not knowing the area. In the build up to my move, I contacted the Leaders Sales team through a recommendation of a local friend and was directed to a lovely and extremely helpful lady Ciara.
After giving Ciara my requirements, she sent across a portfolio of properties they had on the market and went out of her way to organise a one-on-one meeting for half a day where she took me round each property available. Unlike most 'Comission driven' Estate Agents I've delt with in the past, Ciara's passion truly lies helping people by performing a professional and personable service.
All in all a great, friendly sales process which couldn't have been managed better by Ciara and Max - will definitely be recommending to my new network of friends in Brighton.

Having had a couple of viewings in the Brighton & Hove area. I was particularly impressed with the Sales Department. I believe the member of staff who assisted me was called Ciara or may have been Cara. She was very friendly, hugely knowledgeable and made the process a smooth one. I will certainly look to use Leaders in the future.

I recently had a great encounter with the sales team at Leaders in Brighton. I phoned the office to make a couple of enquiries and my call was handled by a chap called Max, who was friendly and helpful. They had great availability and I arrange a couple of back-to-back viewings that week.
On arrival at the first property I was met by a lady named Ciara. She was prompt and greeted me with a smile - always nice. During the two viewings, Ciara was very well informed and quickly and extensively answered any questions I had - something I find is extremely rare among estate agents; I'm normally told "I can find out for you" or "Let me just give the office a quick call" to a lot my queries. The second viewing followed in a similar fashion and I left feeling surprisingly content with the day's outing.
If you're looking for a property in Brighton I would definitely recommend Leaders' sales team - 5* service.

Everything went smoothly only in the end did we have to call ourselves to know when we would receive the keys. We were concerned because we were currently living in a hotel.
