Very unprofessional service I try to renting room on the website then they say to call the office when I called the office. The guy say my colleague it’s lunchtime when he come back. I’ll tell him to call you back. They never call me. This is not first time because, I tried to use the service two years ago. They do the same. They never call me.

I wanted to share my recent experience with Life Style and advise caution when renting a property through them. My experience has been quite disappointing.
Firstly, I highly recommend taking detailed photos of every corner of the property and including them in your check-in report. This precaution is essential because any pre-existing issues could be unfairly charged to you at the end of your tenancy. Additionally, make sure to report each and every issues and ensure they fix it.
For example, Life Style want £770 for end-of-tenancy cleaning of a 2 BHK apartment, which had already been cleaned once. This amount is exorbitantly high compared to the market rate. Their charges for various services are significantly inflated and the charges are roughly 300% higher than the actual market value. Therefore, I strongly recommend being vigilant and documenting everything to avoid such inflated costs at the end of your tenancy and loose your deposit.

From start to finish of dealing with this company, it has been trouble. They are very difficult to get ahold of and when you do finally get through to them, they show a lack of wanting to help you. We were told that we were not a priority and our move was pushed back due to them not getting tasks done in time even though we were in contact with them throughout the two months before the property move in date. When arriving to the property we were meant to be renting with them (on our move in date) we arrived to the property being in a disgusting state and looking like there had been squatters living in there. There were bugs everywhere and flies flying around the house, the carpet was mouldy, mouldy boxes outside the front of the house, wee stains up the walls, shower gel dripping down the shower, shower head broken, the house stunk of smoke with the ceiling having turned yellow from the amount of smoke that would have been consumed in the property. They completely failed their duty of care to allow a property to be let like this especially when we were moving with a baby. We had travelled from 3 hours away and had nowhere to live, with a move in van full of stuff. We lost hundreds of pounds due to their incompetence, that they still cannot recognise is their fault. Avoid this company.

My experience with LifeStyle properties is honestly the most horrible anyone could have ever had, this is one year after vacating the property rented through them and I still regret I ever contacted them. Their services can at best be described as fraudulent.
I still maintain and do reiterate my stance that the operation at lifestyle can best be described as fraudulent, owing to major facts, when we contacted you it was concerning another property located at Bradley stoke which you cleverly told us had been taken and beguild us into going for the property at Pill, only for us to find out weeks later that the one at Bradley stoke was still on the market by which time we had committed ourselves to the one at Pill. You ensured there was no physical viewing of the property and pressurised us into paying the Holding deposit just with the Online video.
The property in question was apparently only superficially renovated, otherwise how do you explain the growth of moulds on walls and ceilings barely a week after moving into a property. The roof was constantly Leaking water and walls driping with water, we notified you of this only for us to get an eviction notice few weeks afterwards, nobody came down to check what was wrong or even show any duty of care. It is honestly not to your credit that you admit to have being in operation for 30yrs with this kind of service. Apparently you took advantage of the fact that we are new immigrants and used our vulnerability as an opportunity to exploit us. The height of it is receiving Council tax bill for the said property, a few weeks ago stating payment of two months post our evacuation of the property that needs to be paid.
We have been living in another property for over a year now, and we have had no cause to complain about anything, inspite of that the landlord regularly checks to know if there are any concerns or anything that might need immediate attention. Who would not want to remain with such a landlord.

End of tenancy process has been poor. The start of the tenancy was fairly professional, but throughout the tenancy it has been difficult to get problems fixed in a reasonable amount of time and at the end of tenancy communication has been poor. I spoke with one of the managing directors on the phone after my tenancy finished and he has been professional and helpful regarding the process for complaints and deposit disputes. I appreciated the time spent on the phone to me and raising my concerns with the team.

We sold another property with Lifestyle today. The whole experience was above and beyond. Before we were even ready to list James visited and gave us advice on what we needed to do to get the house ready to sell and the values that Lifestyle would hope to achieve with the different options. We followed the advice and the property was snapped up with multiple viewings and offers. Not recommended. Very poor service. Make sure if you rent from them or decide to give them you property to manage they won’t do it property as I rented a property from them and they never did inspection. They sent email to inspect the property but they did not turn up. As a tenant make sure you take all photos when you enter the property also check the report as they always put everything good before you enter so when you leave they try to take your deposit by finding anything. If I could give them zero I would not recommended for landlord neither for tenant

16 years ago l first went to lifestyle to start our serch to buy our home in Bradley Stoke .
The expert service and advice we received from all the team at life syle was excellent.
So much so when we came to resell our house we could think of no one other then lifestyle to sell our house for us.
From James comeing round to value our home to the excellent video of our house.
we were kept up to date after every viewing as to
what the buyers said about our home.
And once we sold our home with the help of life style.

I rent a place with Lifestyle, the inspections are quick and easy. Alex who usually completes my inspections is good to talk to, respectful and a good laugh. They also helped me when I had a crazy situation, where I locked all of my keys, in the boot of my car with no way to get in at a funeral, so the car had to stay there the night. They sent someone to their office especially to provide me with some spares. Lifesavers.

Alex showed us over the property the first time and we were very keen but unable to proceed until we sold our house. The very informative video on the website certainly helped us make our choice.
When we were at last able to make a formal offer, Alex showed us over the property again and was genuinely pleased for us that we were able to go ahead.
We've found everyone at Lifestyle to be very helpful thus far.
Here we are 6 months later and finally in the property. Cilla and James were really helpful throughout the long haul while we sold our previous property, maintaining links between us and the seller's executors. Rented a property from Lifestyle Property Services in 2020 for a period of 6 months due to lockdown delays with the sale and purchase of our old and new property. They managed to get us in within a week.
Smooth letting process and negotiated with the landlord a small extra rental charge to allow us to move in with our two cats. On moving in one of the bedroom lights was flickering and this was attended to within 24 hours which was great. They were quick to offer support with any issues raised. Would have been 5 star but on 4 out of 6 months admin errors at the company meant that they didn't acknowledge our rent had been paid and they sent us texts chasing money and attempting to charge us an admin fee of £25.

i would like to give a special mention to Gary, James & Celia.
First of all from my personal experience. I was given notice to leave on a property from a private landlord at the worst time in my life, i was really struggling financially, my credit had taken a massive hit, my health was in a bad place and i had lost my job as well as just having a baby! This made finding a new place to live incredibly difficult and the councils help would have meant going against the notice to leave being physically evicted and then going into temporary housing with my toddler and new born which went against all my morals to the landlord and my family. I approached Lifestyle and explained my situation and i can honestly say it was a breath of fresh air, every other estate agent we spoke to wouldn't give us the time of day but Lifestyle worked with us and went out of their way to talk to landlords and found us somewhere within a week!
They were so easy going and we have now been in that property for 4 years and we love it there! In the time we have been there if any problems have appeared ive called them straight away and they have got the problem sorted quickly and efficiently. The whole team are friendly, understanding and efficient and give me as a tenant everything i would expect from a letting agent. . . i really cannot recommend them enough.
on a professional side, i own a Removals & Storage company in the local area. James has passed clients our way if they are struggling to find a company and all ive had from those clients is positive feedback. It is clear that its not just myself they took a personal approach to as each client knows who they are dealing with by name and every client has always mentioned how great James and Gary were which shows that they really do care about getting involved with the business and ensuring that their clients are getting what they need and helping them through the journey.
We have involvements with a lot of estate agents as you can imagine and we have never had a problem with clients collecting keys, lack of communication with them and the clients which prevents us doing our job or any problems with the letting agent arriving to inspect the property before we can start unloading.

We have had dealings with Lifestyle since 2007, first as tenants with them for 7 years and then as house buyers through them 7 years ago. As tenants, we can testify to their thorough diligence in handling our maintenance requests as well as monitoring the property on behalf of the owners. They conducted regular inspections of the property and didn't fail to overlook anything.
As buyers, they were very proactive estate agents and cleared all our questions honestly and thoroughly, and provided initial support even after we moved into the property.
We can also vouch for the integrity in the way they advertise the properties they rent or sell, in the way that the pictures depict the actual condition and size of the property. They pride themselves in the properties they choose to represent.
If we choose to buy again, Lifestyle would definitely be top of our list as agents we would like to work with, and we would also use their services to rent out our property.
We would especially mention the absolutely great customer service we have had through the past years from Gari Alongi!! Nothing was ever too small for him to help us with! We've maintained a great relationship for the past 14 years!

I am a landlord and have been with lifestyle for many years. In the beginning I chose Lifestyle above all the larger chain letting agents as I felt a personal touch with a personal service. I was treated as a person and not just another Landlord. I still speak with the same people as I have over the years. Their knowledge of the local area is spot on. I even rang Lifestyle for advice when I bought my home and wanted impartial knowledge. The management charge is cheap and very competitive. Lifestyle has been our Letting Agent since our first long-term rental house in 2014. We have stayed with them all this time, now covering three rental houses, because they have been highly efficient in all aspects. These include advice on rental rates whether following a tenant leaving or where the rental rate is due for an increase. The regular inspections are extremely helpful and accompanied by many photographs of good and questionable issues.
The accounts department has been quite excellent with the monthly payments paid to the landlord without delay on the next working day of their receipt. Very seldom are we advised that a payment has not been paid by the correct date. When this has happened he action taken has always been immediate on the next working day.
Every Department has always been fully active and any problems affecting the Landlord or the tenant are dealt with without delay.
As tenants leave, a replacement is found and the legal documentation dealt with as quick as a Landlord can hope for.
In our long history of rentals in the holiday business I have found Lifestyle to be as good as anyone can get!
Ten out of ten is our vote!!

Don't trust Derek by his word.
I have just moved in to a property with Derek ensuring me the property would be finished to an excellent standard, to quote, "All you will need is your tooth brush and slippers".
It seems he told the landlord to furnish using just the basics. Im paying a premium of £1,350pcm. The move in date was delayed costing me £700+ in hotel bills.
Lifestyle who are being paid to manage the property now hold my deposit.
The issue is still being resolved. Derek is showing resistance when asked to meet with myself and the landlord to address the issue.

You can't have visits after 11pm. You will have unannounced visits and inspections to your room. They contract the cheapest and crappiest cleaners, gardeners and maintenance to deal with your property. They will find any excuse to take your deposit away from you. Read the housing act very carefully before you sign with these people because you will need to know how to fight then at the end of your tenancy.

Booked a viewing for a property with them and they had failed to turn up to the viewing. I contacted their office to see if Lee (the person I was suppose to meet) was running late. A lady on the phone said to me that it was cancelled due to staff being "off sick" and someone had left me a voicemail in the morning. I then asked to re-book the viewing. I eventually speak to Lee and he tells me that he cancelled the viewing because the property had been taken off the market (a different story to what the lady had told me) and that he left a voicemail. I told him there wasn't a voicemail. He then checked his computer and told me that someone had mistakenly confused one of the numbers of my mobile phone. I found it hard to believe as I had originally asked the staff member to read my phone number out to me when he put it on the computer. In addition, I called the incorrect number that Lee supposedly had on his computer and it doesn't exist, so he couldn't have even left a voicemail. I am absolutely disgusted by how I have been treated and lied to. I am so disgusted.

Bought a property from these guys. Friendly enough staff, however they lie. During viewings we were not allowed to enter the outbuilding due to there being “valuable” items within it. My wife and I took that in good faith however since moving in we discovered that it was a complete lie and in fact the vendors just didn’t want to pay to clear the hazardous waste, gas bottles, junk etc from within in. Having to sign up a new letting agreement for new letting today I was comparing our options with local estate agents and online service provider. Many things have changed with all the letting agents and similar service provider as well as with Lifestyle Letting. Notable improvement with Lifestyle evaluating to past service explicitly is email communication, rent guarantee, online letting contract, holding tenants deposit, offering very competitive rate has made it much easy and better choice to continue for us. Working with Lifestyle is a great experience from start to finish. They clearly have good knowledge of the local area, recognised by major local employers and national relocating agents. In 18 years of letting service between 3 property we had six weeks without occupant Lifestyle Letting get our 98% approval. Remaining 2% is to improve on feedback after each viewing for us to update records for future property improvement. Viewing agents must repeat ten times during viewing to potential occupier the benefits of all-inclusive rent by listing amount of rent, plus rates, plus utility bills to demonstrate difference between other selections We have been using Lifestyle Letting service for past 18 years and unquestionably continue using them. My two year rental through LifeStyle Property Service was a great experience from start to finish.
Moving in with Derek on hand with slick, simple online documentation was a breeze and on the odd occasion a fault occurred, rectification was a short email and 48hrs away. Moving out was a similar seamless operation.

Fortunately Cilla at Lifestyle was 'on the ball' and pushed them on my behalf. Don't think you'd get the same service with an Internet agent.

I have never been so impressed with service levels and the way a company handles their customers! Right from the start when I was looking to let, Louis (a lettings agent) was very attentive and quick to book in a viewing, in a time that I was available. After that he was great in showing us around the property, and clearly had good knowledge of the local area! (This was important to us as I am new to Bristol) Louis was very helpful helpful start to finish with finding me a suitable house to rent! Since being in the property the only fault is the oven broke, but in the same day the maintenance team were out and had it repaired. Different people give different answers and they never try to do a bit more yo ensure customer satisfaction. Higly disapointed and iam worried how many issues i will face in future as i had nonother option than going with them else i will be homeless.

I moved out of my rented flat 5 weeks ago and the agency have not given me my deposit back and have said that I need to wait untill the new tennant moves in! The landlord is happy for me to have it back. The new tennants has nothing to do with me what so ever I have never spoken to them in my life. They have asked me to go and get the deposit myself and then when the current tennants was asked they said they are paying the deposit to lifestyle. No one seems to know what's going on in the office with a lot of "you need to speak to xxx but there not in". I cannot believe that I don't have my deposit back.

I wouldn't even give this letting agent one star... If you want good customer service, this is not the agent to use . This is basic business acumen. If you want lies (being told different stories by different members of staff), misinformation, lack of communication then Lifestyle is the one for you! As per one of the other reviews, avoid this company like the plague. When owed balance of rent, trying to get this returned was both painful and tiresome dealing with rudeness and aggression.
Attempting to access the Lifestyle office is difficult as the use of an intercom is required. In my opinion, i find this uninviting.
In my opinion i believe their knowledge base is limited, as in my experience, the landlord had sold the block of flats i was occupying to a third party without Lifestyle even knowing? I had not received any communication from Lifestyle after discussing this with them over the phone. I received a letter stating the landlord was selling after only two weeks of occupancy which again, Lifestyle supposedly knew nothing about...? No help given.

absolutely shocking letting agent, lied to us about the landlords situation and refused to return our deposit unless i met certain criteria when leaving the property, thier inventory worker set a massive list of things wrong with the property i had to fix before returning the deposit, all of which were unfounded, the funny things is i pretended attended the property to fix all the issues and then they we're fine about it, i also love how james gingell (one of the partners of this business) has left a stellar google review on his own company, i would avoid these guys like the plague if you have the chance, Abode in clifton are so much more professional and nice, will never use these fly by night cowboys ever again, however I can only assume they're fantastic if your buying an expensive house from them.

We are having to move rental property both to increase size as well as due to being pregnant and our current landlord not willing to have children in the property. The whole experience has been brilliant. Lee showed us around the property and Liam helped set up the viewing and fill in some of the paperwork - they have both been brilliant and had answers to all our concerns and was really reassuring based on bad experiences with another agency. We are fully aware he is on-board and only an email or phone call away from any concerns that we have and will keep us informed of anything we need to be informed about. I would highly recommend Life Style to any others looking to buy or rent in the area.

The house moving process is stressful enough, but given that our particular move was destined to be a nightmare from start to finish, we were so grateful for having Lifestyle and in particular James and Cilla in our corner. Cilla kept us up to date with the situation and we always felt we had as least one person in the chain that knew what was going on. When the first buyers pulled out, Lifestyle went into overdrive to ensure another buyer was found and that the chain was kept in tact. All this enabled us to secure the house we desperately needed and for that we will always be grateful for the professional services of Lifestyle.

I have used LifeStyle to look after and manage my 2 properties since 2003. I really can't complain at all. They deal with all the tenant enquiries - day or night - and when their was a suspected gas leak they had an engineer at the property at 11.30pm at night.
They always find decent tenants and ensure the applicants are suitably screened for suitability.
Of course of the last 12 years there has been the odd issue. Some tenants didnt pay on time due to redundancies etc but they dealt with my queries professionally and worked through things with me so we were all on the same page and ultimately I got paid what was due within the correct realms of the law.
They are easily they best estate agent in Bradley Stoke and treat you like a person not a number. Yet still when ever I negotiate new business with them, they are grateful and humble.
There is always room to improve but the guys really try and always keep us in the loop.

A very poor service, long delays in notifying us of the Landlords acceptance of us as tenants, they kept us waiting until almost the day we were due to move and the have been forced to submit a Single Claim from the DPS as the agents take so long to refund deposits.
