What an amazing Estate Agent....service way above and beyond the call of duty....A homeless person broke into our house after exchange and before completion...Horrendous... but Kate and the team were absolutely amazing, interfacing with locksmith, cleaners, police and solicitors, reading meters etc etc. Unbelievably efficient and they just couldn't do enough for us! The worst Estate agent ever- this company is a joke. I wish there was an option to give zero or minus stars to this company.
I still regret and curse myself for chosing a house from Allen & Harris (Stoke Gifford) over another estate agent. The rent was higher but it was a walking distance to work I decided to take it and it was my biggest mistake,

We saw the house while tenants were still living in it. I asked the agent if the house will be properly cleaned and redecorated (Painted over previous tennants decoration) The agent said house will be cleaned after current tenants move out and will be ready completley when we move in but nothing such happened. Allen & Harris did not even bother to visit the property after tenant left forget about cleaning,

When we moved in the house was stinking. The clock room flush was broken and previous tenant has left it as it is after dumping in it. So the house was full of human waste smell when we entered in it. We had to wait couple of hours outside (And pay extra to movers and packers for waiting). As we moved in we realised the house was left without cleaning a bit. The carpet was filthy and full of small insects, the kitchen was stinky and full of sauce splashes everywhere, the walls were dirty and full of holes, marks and mold throughout the house. The garden was not trimmed since months (Or may be years it looked like) and full of animal waste.

Not only cleaning but Allen & Harris did not bother to check if there was any maintanance issue before giving keys to us. The whole house has pluming issue which means water doesnt go down in any sink or bathroom. The boiler doesnt boil water so we have been taking cild shower - including our 16 months old daughter. The washing machine they provided is so old and out of service. Our daughter get skin allergey when she wore a dress after being washed in that machine.

For first few days we had to stay at friend's house and thought Agent will sort everything out but its been now nearly a month but nothing has happned.

We cant assemble furniture untill Agent gets the house cleaned so we been sleeping on the floor since we moved in. Our daughter has been down with fever and skin allergy ever since we moved in and she is still ill. I got asthama due to mold and I had to clean it myself as Allen & Harris apparently thinks House does not need a cleaning between tenancies and as long as it has walls and ceiling it is upto stanard.

I have contacted my local citizen advise bureu and will take a legal action but would advise everyone to avoid this agency at any cost. They neither have moral nor care for their customers.

Looking for a rental property in Bristol might not be the easiest thing. For me it was a fortune, to find a property with Allen@Harris and the whole process until I sign the letting agrement was smooth and fast. Thank you Alena for all your great support!

I paid quite a few hundred pounds to this A&H branch to sell my property in the middle of Hamilton main town.
I live in Australia and totally depended on the staff at this branch to do a professional job of which they assured me.
After 12 months of many phone calls to this branch I realised their staff turnover is abysmal! Rarely speaking to the same sales representative. In the end I asked my sister for her assistance. She thankfully shook them up. At first they refused to give her the keys to the apartment even though I emailed them to give her permission to inspect the apartment, I resorted threats to call their head office. When my sister did eventually get possession of the keys what she found was disgraceful and down right criminal! She found the stairwell ceiling leaking rainwater, dead pot plants which should have been looked after or removed, the bed had obviously been used with the covers and pillows in disarray and needing laundered, basically the apartment looked as if someone was sleeping there, the whole place was a mess! To top it all off there was no For Sale Signage in the apartment window which they said they had put in situ. My sister complained as did I via many phone calls threatening to lodge a complaint with the Real Estate Ombisman. I had paid a great deal of money to them and could not afford to pull out of the contact. After much pressure from my sister the apartment was sold at a loss of £19,000.
Selling your property you depend on honesty and professionalism this company is anything but honest and professional!
