Decided to sell my house via Manners and Harrison after a family member sold there house with them. They promptly sent a professional photographer to my house to take some photos. Photos were uploaded on the Wednesday and advert went live that day, Had a viewing Thursday and accepted an offer on the Friday.

Buying your first house is meant to be a joyful experience. The first day I spoke to Manner & Harrison was all smiles and promises. Essentially a sales pitch to use all their services and for Dan to get his commission. We were promised that if we used their solicitor we wouldn't have to do any of the chasing and all I did was chase. When I chased I was made to feel that I was putting him out and he was doing me a favour. Essentially changing his tune from I'll be your 'best friend' throughout this process to I'm the mortgage advisor I've done my bit and I am off on holiday so tough. The lack of communication between both the estate agent and the solicitors was laughable. Ive asked for a refund on the Lifetime Mortgage Service as I wish to go elsewhere when the time comes and I have an open complaint which is currently being investigated. I don't know why it's taking nigh on a month, it's a simple matter of not being happy with the service provided, I am happy to pay for the service already given despite being poor, I just don't want the Lifetime Mortgage Service.

We did the remortgage with our new broker —Dan Waddingham. His service is so considerate and he gave us so many help and good suggestions about our all questions.
When we wonder if we wanted to change a new house or still continued to do remortgage, he gave us all details about what the difference between this two things. Absolutely terrible service. They work with unscrupulous landlords and dont even care about their customers. After signing documents and giving deposits to stop me from pulling out of my rental agreement, Manners and Harrison informed me via a very brief email that THE DAY BEFORE I was due to move into my new home, the landlord was pulling out.
As 'compensation' they gave me first refusal on an unsuitable house that happened to be on their books and the girl who showed me round this property seemed to have no clue that I might be upset about effectively just being made homeless and couldn't answer any of my questions about this new house and the landlord.
I emailed Manners and Harrison stating how upset I was by this and the fact that this had effectively made me homeless and implored them not to work with such unscrupulous landlords again. I also expressed my unhappiness about the way I had been informed about my sudden homelessness via a brief email, no phone call , no speaking to the manager and barely an apology. But I received no response from them. They do not care. I also have yet to receive my deposit back after 2 months !! Do not use this estate agents!

Having decided to sell my house i tried several estate agents who all came and gave me a price and tried to sell me on their potential to market my house. Kelly from M&H was by far the best one, she was friendly and personable and really gave me confidence that M&H were the best place to come. I got the feeling that M&H would have that bit of extra bite to get something across the line.
Once signed up i was assigned Brooke as my negotiator. Brooke was fantastic and answered all my queries and helped try and smooth the process for myself.
I put my house on the market on a Thursday, by friday i had two viewings on my property and then an offer by Tuesday. Brooke calmly and professionally negotiated on my behalf getting me what i was aiming for on my property.

Arranged an appointment to view a property which required a six day wait. Then when we arrived nobody turned up. No answer at the office (it was 6pm) no contact made to indicate any problem just two potential buyers standing outside a property waiting. Absolutely furious and I would be the same if I was selling. This is what commission is paid for. In this age of digital communications there is no excuse for this at all.

I got the initial visit booked in by our mortgage broker who worked for sequence. Very poor in hearing anything in regards to our sale of the property once property did sell i had to push for phonecalls in dealing with the property. Considering the amount i had to pay them for selling i wouldn't recommend at all

I have just sold my house with the help and support of these guys, who have been exceptional from start to finish. I am not an easy customer and yet they have been great at communicating and sealing the deal, with my best interest at hear. This runs from Kelly, who gave us a fair and positive valuation, and had customers waiting to purchase, to Lottie and Antonia, who progressed things, and especially Claire, who got us the price we really wanted, over the asking price. Nice people, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for in life, would use them again without hesitation.

I have dealt with Manners a lot of the years with mixed success. However, where I have always had success is with Claire Moore (who recently returned thankfully).
Her professionalism, friendliness, market knowledge and communication skills including responsiveness are fantastic and she often goes above and beyond (outside of work hours) to address any issues and help expedite matters outside of her domain where she can (for example sales - when she deals with lettings).
I trust her advice and would always listen to what she has to say when it comes to tenant finding. I hope to deal with her for many years to come.
