We wanted to work with Marco Harris for their increasing use of social media to advertise properties, however, when it came to put property, they didn't put anything on social media.
They always messaged straight after a viewing but otherwise I had to be the first one to chase for an update.
I've said no to recommending them but if you have a big house that has a lot of character and personality then yes they'd probably do a better job.

Kieran, Shannon and Coren worked tirelessly to get our house purchase over the line. They sold our property in 1 day, managing to secure 4 offers following an open day. This enabled us to put forward offers on the house we’d set our hearts on. Down to the guys’ hard work and patience we finally got the house! We moved in on Thursday and are over the moon. Our sale was plain sailing but our purchase was the complete opposite however, they communicated with us daily (sometimes late into the evening and over weekends) to keep us fully informed at every step. We were so grateful for the WhatsApp group as buying and selling property can be a very stressful time; being kept in the loop and updated regularly really helped to calm the nerves! They really did go over and above and we’re extremely grateful. Their social media presence, tour videos and fantastic photos were key to us achieving our sale so quickly. I attempted to sell my property through the agent I bought it through, 6 years prior. Choosing them as they had knowledge of the house and had the highest sales in the area recently. The property was listed for 6+ months without success before I made the switch to Marco Harris.
The MH advert was night and day compared to the previous agents' advert and the house sold within a week! Sold to a 1st time buyer with multiple offers from other buyers refused.
We have now bought and sold with Marco Harris and have to say they are in a different league to other "leading" agents. Well done team ???? and thank you.

I found Marco Harris Estate Agents excellent. They sold our house on the first viewing and from start to finish they kept me informed every step of the way and when communication with solicitors was dragging on they stepped in to get things moving again. They gave us excellent service, the best we’ve ever received from an estate agent and we’ve moved around the country quite a lot over the last 40 years. All the staff, whether in person or on the phone were always polite friendly and very helpful. I particularly liked the way all the staff were aware of our situation. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Initial communication is great, photos excellent. Unfortunately we changed from this agent after four weeks. In that time Marco Harris got us 5-6 viewings in total, none of whom actually seemed interested in the house & feedback was disappointing. As we also felt their social media promises were underwhelming we took the decision to switch agents. From then on the demeanour of the agent changed dramatically, all of a sudden we had 3 viewings & were repeatedly being asked to lower the price, which we refused as we had already agreed to do this with the new agent. The manager however was very helpful and agreed to let us out of contract two days early.
Within 24 hours of the new agent having the property we had 3 viewings & an on the spot offer which we accepted.
Overall disappointing however we may be in the minority with our experience.

Purchasing through Marco Harris has been an absolute breeze. From the outset, arranging viewings with Ben was hassle-free and easy. The market was (and still is) super aggressive, and whilst Ben was rushed off of his feet I never had to fight to get a property viewing. The process after viewing a property was easy; you filled out a quick 1 minute survey indicating if you liked the property and if you wanted to put an offer down. Once your offer gets accepted Marco Harris outline everything that will happen next, providing helpful tips on what you should be doing and at what stage. You then get put in to a Whatsapp group with multiple people from MH to help oversee the purchase. This was a fantastic way of working and one that I never thought I'd see estate agents use. Coren was fantastic, she kept us up to date with everything that was going on, even down to the little details. On the day of completion, we were greeted at the door with our keys and a wonderful welcome box.
I honestly can't recommend MH enough. Ben, Coren, Connor, and everyone there working tirelessly to get us our dream home have been nothing but amazing. If ever I were to sell or purchase, I wouldn't use anyone else other than MH.

From start to end , we cannot fault Marco Harris! After searching for Months for a home and viewing over 40 properties with several rejected offers, it was a breath of fresh air to come across Marco Harris by chance. The staff in the office are friendly, approachable and always quick to reply with any questions we had. We fell in Love with the home and felt they were very helpful in guiding us to not pay over the odds, but also not to lose our Dream home.
Over our search we came across almost every agency in the area and its easy to see why Marco Harris have so many lovely homes on their listings. The whole buying and selling process is stressful enough but Ben and Connor really made the whole experience so much easier with their communication.
By far the best agent we came across!!
We even got a lovely welcome pack for our home which contained a candle which is a great reminder of the positive experience we had with them.
It you are selling your home then i recommend using them and if you are buying with them, Enjoy your journey as you will be looked after!

Very disappointed, tried to make contact to view a property multiple times with messages left. Finally got through and were given a slot with no warning (give them fairness for trying). However, due to such short I couldn't make it. Noted my disappointment to Ben and was told, yeah it booked up quick and basically I was too slow. Disregarding I had already told him I had chased for a number of days with no response. No apology for failing to come back.
From the point of the house seller and someone buying we had actually intended to make a 10%over asking bid (wife loved it style from photos) had we seen the property. If they were selling my house I would be disappointed. Note: written at the time of a sellers market not a buyers, made me feel they are only respectful to who they need, not good principles.

From the perspective of the tenants, if you are looking to rent, avoid Marco Harris.
They are very liberal with the truth, so ensure you landlord agrees with what they are advising. Communications, from Mark, were unbelievably rude and you could be waiting up to a week for a reply to an email.
I feel sorry for my landlord and landlady for having to use such an awful company and hope that posting this does not affect their ability to rent their home.

Avoid Marco Harris at all cost. If I could give lower stars than 1, I would. A property was rented to me whilst it was riddled with fleas, and was filthy in the middle of covid, dead bugs and dirt throughout and several other issues! All which was simply dismissed as “teething issues”. Very unprofessional communication via WhatsApp and rude. Do not recommend Marco Harris.

I’ve been a tenant for a property that Marco Harris manages since January 2022. Absolutely brilliant bunch of people at MH. They rent responsibly, but flexibly by understanding individuals’ circumstances and goals. Rather than instantly turning away potential tenants if they don’t tick every box on the outside, the team at Marco Harris will work with management and landlords to get the right people in the right homes responsibly.
Throughout my first weeks’ standard rental teething issues and now into the first quarter of my tenancy, communication and support from the MH team = impeccable! I’m sure other tenants will agree that no one has time to spend hours on the phone trying to log an issue or ask a question, right?! And only to leave voicemails that the wrong person picks up or emails that fall through the cracks, lost in an inbox somewhere. Marco Harris has the perfect solution for this; WhatsApp group for tenant and their back office. There is still a phone line, email and an in-house (?) handy-person (electrician, plumbing etc) available too if needed.
I can only vouch for Marco Harris as a tenant, but there is one final thing I’d like to mention that is ESPECIALLY important to tenants over buyers; Your Home is Your Safe Space… once I moved into my rented flat, MH and the landlord personally withdrew themselves and their energy from my newly rented space. I don’t feel like I’m living in someone else’s home… it feels completely my own. And that is something special (and often rare) to find! I feel so at home, safe and comfortable in my flat. Thank you, MH!

I first met these guys when they showed me a round a house! I couldn’t believe how much they knew about it and was really blown away by the service. That’s when I decided I would sell my house through them.
You are selling the most expensive thing you have! Why cut corners with cheap agents that don’t do anything? These guys are not the cheapest on the market. They are not the most expensive! But they are the best by far!
You will be supported through every step of the process! Not just the selling part but every step Leading up to competition!

Absolutely fantastic service from Marco Harris throughout the purchase of our first home! Very good at keeping us up to date and offer a very personal service despite competing priorities. Lovely hampers given to us upon moving in was a great touch!
Special mention must go to Ben Norman, an absolute pleasure to work with. He has some great recommendations for our mortgage broker and solicitors. His communication is second to none and we will definitely be looking to use his and or Marco Harris's services in the future.

Marco Harris have been brilliant from start to finish. Before choosing an estate agent to sell my flat I explored a lot of options. The one thing that stood out to me was the fact that both Ben and Connor took genuine interest in the property and knew the best approach to take when selling it.
Unlike the other estate agents I had looked at, Ben and Connor, offered me a single point of contact and even set up a WhatsApp group so that communication was easy. They also did a great job of filtering through prospective buyers and ensuring that time wasn’t wasted with pointless viewings.
All in all, I think Marco Harris are great and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property in and around the Southampton area. They offer a fantastic boutique service that you would struggle to find elsewhere.

Connor and Ben are great guys who really know their stuff. I wouldn’t call MarcoHarris estate agents as the service they offer above your standard agent is above and beyond. They don’t just come in and take pictures they actually stage the photos to make sure people see the best aspects of your home. I would say the service they offer is closer to the style of the American realtors. As they will try and help with every step of the buying and selling process.
When I spoke with another agent and they asked who I was selling with they even praised MarcoHarris for their marketing! Saying they know them to be really good with their marketing techniques! I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to sell, buy or rent!

They recommended a mortgage broker and solicitor for us to use, both of whom were also excellent. Connor kept us updated weekly, answered our questions quickly and made sure the process was painless and efficient. We were so impressed that we decided to use them as letting agents once we’d bought. Mark dealt with the letting and was equally impressive. Where do I even start with how incredible this estate agency is?
From the very start of our idea to sell and buy a new property Connor was just so helpful. He gave us all the confidence we needed & 100% of his knowledge which made us feel so relaxed with the process.

We have worked with Connor from Marco Harris for the last 7-8 months. From the start Connor has been on the ball, from putting our house on the market at best time to completion. Even when taking the brochure photos and videos of the house he made sure everything was perfect to get the best angles and portrait our house in the best way. After setting up viewings he constantly kept us in the loop with feedback from his customers and what the next plans are. Connor sold our house in between Christmas and new year of 2020, since then he has stayed patient and honest with us throughout the whole process. He was always chasing solicitors and other estate agents to push them along to hurry up completion due to us being on a time line due to having a baby on the way. In June of 2021 we finally completed after a long winded run due to probate matters on the house we were buying through a different estate agent. Conner helped us the whole way through and was amazing especially towards the end. We mainly dealt with Connor as he was our assigned agent however on the odd occasion we spoke to his business partner Mark, he was just as kind and helpful. These two men have a lot of knowledge on how to get the best out of the current market and we couldn’t not recommend them enough to anyone. We have received outstanding service throughout and we would 100% be using them in the future if we decide to move again one day.

We were recommended Marco Harris through a friend who had recently used them to sell their house.
The initial marketing and photos were head and shoulders above your typical high street estate agent which lead to 4 viewings and 2 offers above asking in 24 hours! We found the house of our dreams and managed to complete our chain with an accepted offer.
Where Marco Harris differs from your usual big name high street agent is their aftercare and communication. You’re not just a number you’re a person and it really feels that way. We were always kept in the loop via a personal WhatsApp group which was a nice touch.
Later into our journey we had some unfortunate news that our buyer had pulled out for no reason, this is where Connor really stepped up and with some kind of sorcery managed to resell our house within another 48 hours meaning we couple keep the house we had purchased.
House buying is a stressful time even when things are going right, the experience with Marco Harris made the journey that little bit easier.

I'm so glad he did as Marco Harris turned out to be the most proactive, responsive and helpful agent that I have ever dealt with. My property had been on the market for over a month with no real interest, however Connor managed to find the perfect tenant in only 2 days. Then everything from references, Gas Safety Certificate, Inventory etc was sorted exceptionally quickly. The best thing about my experience though was the communication.
