Slater Hogg & Howison have been brilliant. They were able to sell our property within a week of it going on the market and they got us a better than expected sale price. Their Mortgage advisor Sarah was exceptional and with ingenuity and persistence she was able to obtain a mortgage for our new property even though it was a challenging property to get a mortgage on. I'm so very sad that these guys have turned out to have horrible ethics surrounding their letting service. My daughter has moved into a flat let by Slater Hogg & Howison and a week on, she's still scrubbing the place. The carpet is urine soaked, the furniture is urine soaked, the appliances had so much mould, it's cost her a fortune in cleaning supplies and endless hours of scrubbing. My daughter is so sweet, flexible and accommodating. This is actually breaking her. She's got to come and stay with me until someone does the decent thing and makes it liveable. She's not asking for much, just a urine/mould free living area. The carpet should have been replaced, the appliances decontaminated or replaced and all furniture disposed of. My heart is breaking for her. She'll be the best tenant they could ever ask for and she just feels taken advantage of. No-one was expecting perfection, but a bit of decency and dignity is surely not too much to ask for. I'm stunned at just how terrible it is. She's had a really rough go of things lately and was so excited to make a fresh start.... Read more

We are in the process of selling our house through Slater Hogg in Kirkcaldy and we cannot recommend them enough. From the get go they have been excellent. We had our property on the market within 1 week of starting the process and they managed to find us a buyer within a week of being on the market. We dealt with Douglas initially for valuations and photographs and he was so professional and friendly. Once we got on the market we have dealt with Ann and Jade and the communication has been second to none. We have called a few times with different questions and nothing is ever too much trouble. Rates are very competitive and the staff will do whatever they can to help you. Could not recommend them enough.... Read more
