Straightforward costing which is the reason why I went with them over competitors who had costs for everything itemised. We paid a % of the final sale price. I‘ve been renting with this agent for about 3 years. They are approachable. Thanks to Yvoone and Lynda have been helping me out. My oven stopped working, and Yvoone helped me arrange an engineer coming over to fix a week after I told her. And I lost my key fob recently, but Lynda helped me out and gave me another fob in a day. The fob didn't work at the first time. But after calling to the agent, Lynda tried her best to help me out and I got the fob that works within 2 hours. Really appreciate their help.

Overall, our experience with Martin & Co as international students was quite positive. It was our first time apartment hunting, and Huzaifa helped us with all of our small and big queries. The process was fast, and they were responsive as well. However, one aspect that could be improved upon is the handling of the inventory checklist. Future customers and letting agents should be more cautious in ensuring that new tenants are informed about any damages present in the apartment during the checks. This includes what will be fixed, replaced, or if there are any issues that cannot be addressed. This would help new tenants be better prepared for their moving date. After that inventory check, this was the only thing we were not very happy about. Additionally, for future tenants, we advise checking everything thoroughly during the viewing, as you may not always get the chance to view the property multiple times. Having said that Despite this, after our move, Martin & Co agents namely Huzaifa and Namrah were quite helpful in getting things fixed promptly.

Lynda goes above and beyond! We had such an incredible experience with Lynda as our agent. We weren't sold on the first flat we saw, so we told her directly our needs. I have been renting through this agency for the past 7 years. For the first few years I didn’t use to find them particularly useful or responsive, and felt like they were quick to blame me for things needing repaired in the flat, rather than help and get them fixed. It was so bad, I would only call them if I wasn’t able to fix something myself, or if it was way too expensive, but overall I was trying to avoid it.
I carried that mindset over the years. However, after the pandemic there were a few occasions in which I needed the agency to come and fix a couple of kitchen leaks and, most recently, an electrical problem. On all of these cases I was speaking to Yvonne Zmidzinska, reporting the problems and seeking solutions. To my pleasant surprise, my experience was completely different than before - Yvonne was always nice (even when I was stressed out on the phone), she was very helpful and quick to arrange a plumber/electrician to come and fix the problems in the flat. Yvonne has been very supportive and I definitely feel confident in reporting any issues with the flat to the agency now as I feel I can speak openly and honestly with her.
This is the first time I can confidently say I recommend Martin&Co West End.

Very frustrating experience. Attempted to purchase a property but due to late reply and not answering emails I lost it to another bidder. The excuse of "being out of the office" wasn't acceptable as on more occasion I had to wait over 24 hours for a property I knew would be attracting a lot of attention. I was informed that I would be informed as soon as they had the answers to my questions, but seeing as every time I called up they had the answer to my question, it was clear they didn't see it as a matter of urgency. After explaining my frustration about said events there was no apology or adequate explanation. Would not recommend at all.

In general the agency has helped us to get a nicely located flat. Although there were some issues in the beginning such as the flat being not thoroughly cleaned and falty equipment, etc. The staff, especially Yvonne and Nick are always welcoming and of great help to us! Highly recommended. My family and I used this company for our citizenship application, which I should say was not a straightforward application, but the outcome was brilliant thanks to Mr. Templeton. Don't even deserve a single star review.Totally unprofessional and unsupportive staff. Had a worst experience with this agency as a Tenant during Covid situation. Inspite of reporting big serious issues in the flat (windows leakage, Boiler breakdown, etc) which was causing serious health issues the agency didn't respond at all and totally neglected it. Instead the agency blamed us for everything when we went in the office to discuss the matter after not replying to our emails.
Avoid this agency and look out for professional ones in the market and those who really care for you.

One of my friend had a miserable experiance.
His apartment was very cold due to single glass windows.
When he approached agency to fix that, instead of fixing his problem they started arguing that they have shown that earlier and not going to fix it.
He had to leave flat in 10-15 days due to cold and they didn't return a penny to him.
Advise to new talents :- Please check small thing before you pay a single penny.
Advice to Agency :- You could have fixed/assured to fix the issues.

Worst Agency in the UK. Don't even deserve 1 star.Totally Unprofessional and only stealing your money. Stay away from this agency. Just stay away. Scottish Government should shut down this fake agency. They don't care for you and no response from them where Emergency fix is required in the flat. Also very rude behaviour from the staff. I rented one of the flat from them recently in COVID situation and had to leave within 17 days because of major issues in the flat. There was complete leakage to all the windows in the flats, Boiler Breakdown and exhaust fan issues. I emailed them and call them couple of times but no one visited for Inspection. In the COVID situation and temperature around -1 C me and my wife were suffering from Cold due to cold breeze leaking through the windows and all the way entering into the flat and boiler breakdown added to our challenges. We have to keep heaters switch ON all the time but still no relief.We left the flat as early as possible since it was causing serious health issues. We talked to M. Nawaz who runs this agency but there were was no positive response on the deposit/rent returns even they didn't acknowledge the issues in the flat and instead blamed us and the flat. Totally irresponsible and disrespectful behaviour. We just left the flat and don't want to see their faces or the agency in the future or even deal with such rude and not caring people. Stay away from this agency. They just steal your money.There are lot of agencies in the market who are caring and Professional.

Honestly the worst agency I ever had to deal with. Staff were unbelievably incompetent, as well as lazy and dismissive. I was renting flat a couple of years ago, just round the corner from them, we had bed bugs and severe damp and mould. The agency was informed straight away, and merely told us that we were lying. When, after at least one month, finally managed to get one of the agents to come and inspect the flat, we were again told that there were no bed bugs (despite proof of numerous bites), and that the complaint regarding the damp and mould could not be dealt with, as this was a structural issue, and that there was absolutely no way of being able to fix the problem. After thankfully leaving the property, there were false complaints from agents about how the flat was kept, and accusations of smoking in the flat, despite no proof at all. It took a while for us to argue our case with Safety Deposit Scotland, as they were asking for all of our deposit. In the end, they only received £50 of our £1000 deposit. I would avoid this organisation at all costs. Go for a more professionally ran agency, I'm sure there are plenty that are above this monstrosity.

Best customer service ever. The staff is very helpful and quick in resolving any issues. The manager Mr. Naz helped us to move our flat in the lockdown phase (April 2020). Think this must be the worst Letting Agency in Glasgow, if not the whole UK! Promises renaged upon! They DO NOT listen to your concerns! They don't contact the landlord when they say they will! Are very dismissive when you call! Extremely unprofessional! As soon as another property is found.... I'm off! Quick update, as soon I I found another property with different agents I left! I made sure I left the property spotless (it was a dump when I moved in) lo and behold, they tried to withhold my deposit citing they needed to get industrial cleaners in..... LIES LIES LIES???? The threat of a lawyer soon sorted this. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRANCH!

They are impolite and unprofessional . The houses that they offer are not suitable for living and when issues emerge they let the landloard handle them whenever and however he/she wants . They take advantage of students and are not helful at all. I do not understand how they still exist as an agency and I would not recommend to anyone to even pass outside their office, let alone rent or buy a flat from them.

Professional Service.
I needed some assistance with applying for my Visa Extension. When I looked around for credible firms they came at the bottom of Google search.
I contacted at least 5 firms. Most of them charging an amount equal to the visa application which is at over £2000. Most companies weren't local either but happy to know they were city centre based. I went with Quinn Martin and Langan because it was most affordable and local; which meant my experience would be personal instead of online. From day one I knew I was dealing with people who took my application seriously and I wasn't just a number. In my dealings with them, they were always professional and the staff treat you with respect. I finally got my visa in the mail within a short period. Really appreciate the team for their efforts especially Mark who dealt with me on a regular basis.

We have been renting with Martin & Co. for about 5 years, and it’s been a positive experience. They always respond to our emails and calls (including out of hours emergency calls), and get issues dealt with. Having heard some horror stories about other letting agencies, we feel lucky that Martin & Co. is professional and staff are pleasant. If we were to move flats, I would rent through them again.

Poor customer service and unprofessional management.
Letting agent decided to report to potential new landlord that he had seen my partner smoking while walking on the pavement opposite the office.
I do not smoke or let anyone smoke in my flat, as per the tenancy agreement. What people get up to out with your managed properties is of no business of Martin and Co.

Poorly organised. They signed me up to wrong address on gas account. They sent us a contract with the wrong rental amount in it. They told us only one tenant needed a reference, then changed their mind. They tried to rush us to agree to renewing a tenancy 2 months before our notice period. They sent a letter informing us the rent was increasing, but rental amount was same as before! I'd avoid like the plague.
Edit: Martin & Co I attach some excepts from your emails to me, seeing as you cannot evidence of my claims:
On 20th Oct 2017, Kasia Zasada wrote to me: "We will ask for the balance due - £920 for the rent and £1600 for the rest of the deposit - £2520 in total." Our rent and deposit were actually £950 and £1800 respectively. We had to email to get Martin & Co to get the correct amount on the contract.
Your letter dated 17th March stated a rent increase: "to reflect recent
changes in the property sector I now write to you to highlight that the rental for this particular property shall be increased to £950 PCM at renewal stage." The rent was already £950PCM, so the letter was incorrect.

I did not have the best experience with the agency regarding mostly communication issues. The most important incident was when someone went into the flat for inspection without notify us at all. The other issue was with their paperwork at the beginning of the tenancy agreement as they didn't provide a list of the inventory or a detailed report of the situation of the flat. If I hadn't asked about the inventory, they wouldn't have mentioned it at all. I had to take photos of all the things of the apartment to send these to them. Poorly organised. They had the wrong date on the contract although they sorted it out quickly as far as I remember. I renew my contract after the first one ended and they couldn't accommodate a shorted tenancy agreement other than 9 months, although, I was there for 9 months already. As far as I know most of the agencies provide a rolling renewal of the contract each month when the initial contract finishes but I did not had this flexibility. In addition to that, you have to pay the advertisement expenses of around £200 in order to be able to terminate the contract earlier, while all the other agencies at the moment they only require a month notice to terminate any contract. On the good things, in every issue that I had they would send me someone to fix or they would advice on what should be done. I was speaking with some more helpful people during the last months of my contract in comparison to the beginning. Generally, it was a really moderate experience.

Infact martin n co don't have a friendly staff in west end branch my father put a house for sale in kelvindale Dorchester avenue the female staff was put on the premises to look after that property she was rude not a pleasant person she kept on saying to my father this is not right this is not right etc change this change that so one day my father had to pay fortune on a boiler the boiler was working in good order without his permission she end up putting a new boiler in without his permission eventually the house was sold please don't go with martin n co

I live abroad for most of the year and therefore rely on the team to manage all issues to do with the properties. Martin and co west end have been the property managers of the house I rent for the duration of my tenancy which is five and a half years. During that time I have always found them to be efficient , courteous and helpful in dealing with any issues that I have had. Indeed I feel at times they have gone the extra mile in securing the best resolution to any difficulties which is the difference between good and superb service. I receive regular email updates on my flat, and have peace of mind letting with Martin and Co that my property is being well looked after.
When work has been needed done in the flat, they organised this promptly and I wasn’t burdened with any stress dealing with it.

Don't use this company to rent a house or let them manage a property for you, I rented a property from them and had nothing but trouble , they get cowboys out to carry out any issues in the property (which my landlady then had to rectify so costing her double) my landlady was that sick of them she was seeking legal advice to try and end her contract with them.
They put your rent up every year, I've never came across this before.
When we left the property they failed to turn up at the agreed time as the manager was late coming into work with the company car, when they did do the checks (we had gone by this time) they tried to say the property was dirty which is absolute rubbish, i left the house in a far better condition than it was when I entered it.
My landlady told Martin and co she was happy with the property and for me to have my full deposit back.
I have no idea how they are still trading.
One last note you may need them to do something for you but you won't hear from them but when I was instructed by my landlady not to sign a new lease renewal as she wanted rid of them I was then hounded by Martin and co.
I would just like to add Martin and co is a franchise and not all branches are like this, I've used another Martin and co prior to using this branch and the others were fantastic.

I had an overall shockingly bad experience!!!
They ignored my emails for months, I had to explain our problems multiple times to different people and noone wanted to take responsibility. When I finally got an answer, it was contradicting. They are unorganised and not helpful.
This agency simply does not care about their tenants.

Rip off merchants. Attempt to lie to steal as much as your deposit as possible. Posting as a matter of public interest as this company are complete scam artists who do not value their tenants and will do anything but assist with any problems you may have during your tenancy. We documented our living conditions and luckily we managed to secure a full refund from SDS on our deposit after 6 months of contesting Martin and Co (who funnily enough could provide ZERO evidence of what they were claiming). AVOID!!!!!

Had t he worst experience with them. They let you know from the start how little they care about the tenants and how they only care about their money. They will dodge calls or delay their response. They are some of the least friendly and helpful people. Avoid if you can. Try anyone else
