Terrible agency if you are a tenant! Very intrusive (inspections every 2 months) telling us what to do in the house we pay £1200 rent for! they try to keep our deposit! The woman said, " it might take a couple of weeks." Couple of WEEKS!?I explained that if I don't have a deposit in my account in 7 days, the landlord will have to pay interest on our money! Suddenly, the next day, all was good apart from the extra charges for cleaning fees (£159????) of the spotless house we cleaned from top to bottom. Once again, I said nahh.. I want all the money back, or we will discuss this through DPS. I get money the next day. Don't let them scare you, and invade your place you are paying good money for! They don't have any rights and they know it (most of this people in the office probably don't as they came across with very basic knowledge of anything and are useless) So yeah if you an a tenant be aware of those scamers!... I recently sold my property through Martin & Co and have to say their service is second to none. Gail especially is on the ball from beginning to end. Chasing solicitors and other buyers within the chain. She constantly keeps you up to date and is available to discuss/reassure. I would highly recommend Martin & Co for all your property needs as the complete team in the office work together for a smooth transition. I guess the difference I discovered with Martin & Co is that ALL the staff care and obviously enjoy their jobs.
