Just done a mortgage through MMS, selling my old house and buying a new one. My old house mortgage was done through MMS and the professionalism of Audrey was second to none, doing the mortgage for the new house was done with ease. Audrey kept me informed throughout the process and when the mortgage rate went down she always got me the lower rate before the exchange of contracts. She was always available to respond to my emails or phone calls, it was a stress free process I will highly recommend MMS. Also Lisa her PA was always helpful too.

Absolutely Top Class Service And Support!!!!
Justine and her team sold our house within a few days of it hitting the market. We could not fault their support and help for us but also for our buyers (first time) who had some issues navigating the buying process. Justine gave support and a friendly listening ear when we became frustrated with the delays in the process, she also pursued and resolved issues with great tenacity, constantly keeping us updated on progress. We could not have asked for more.
Medway Mortgage Shop has a great caring family vibe not like impersonal estate agents chains where you are passed from sales agent to a progressor who just passes messages to the other party.
The cherry on the top of an already delicious cake. The cost, you get great personal service and support for a reasonable fixed price. Just shows you how much large chains are ripping you off with their percentage of sale price cost.

We used Medway Mortgage Shop after receiving a recommendation from a family member for mortgage advice as first-time buyers with limited knowledge of the process. Audrey explained everything in great detail and put our minds at ease. She was always happy to answer any questions we had.
After we received our mortgage offer, Audrey kept us informed whenever interest rates dropped, helping us secure a new offer at a lower rate.

Absolutely first class from start to finish. We used them for both our mortgage and estate agents and were really responsive and helpful throughout. Steve took his time to explain all the mortgage products in language even I could understand. When there were bumps in the road from solicitors (as there always are) Justine and the rest of the estate agent team were able to talk to the solicitors on my behalf to keep things moving. The difference between the service I got from MMS estate agents and other firms I have used in the past is night and day. I never had to wait for more than an hour or so for a response to a query, as oppose to days and weeks elsewhere. It really shows that it is a family run business. Would give 6 stars if it were an option.

Outstanding! We engaged Audrey and her team for our purchase due to repeated recommendations. Audrey was inviting, thorough, and a clear expert in field. She guided us through the whole purchase and left nothing to chance, to give us the most chance of acceptance by the bank. Audrey assisted with communication with the solicitors and offered sound guidance when we asked. Once we had the offer from the bank (4 days after application!) and were waiting to exchange, Audrey and her team monitored the interest rates and informed us twice that they had lowered, allowing us to apply for a product with the new rate, which took ten minutes each time. During the whole process, they were available on the phone and email. We can not recommend Audrey and Lisa highly enough.

Not particularly impressed. Had a valuation after hearing good things. The lady who came round (who wasn't anyone listed on the website of staff, oddly) wasn't particularly personable and didn't know if she was there for a valuation or to take pictures. Seems like she wanted to get out ASAP. Looking around the property she just stuck her head round the door of each room and didn't go in properly so we didn't feel like she was taking a proper look like other agents did.
Then when it came to the sales talk she couldn't answer any questions. It was all 'I don't know'......'it's hard to say' which didn't instill me with much confidence that she knew the performance figures of the company. Asking how they market the property, again there wasn't really anything said. It left me with the impression they just stick it on the market and hope for the best.
Finally, I asked what she felt the selling points were of the property and how she would sell it to a buyer when comparing to other similar properties and to my amusement she listed why other properties would be more attractive. It was utterly bizarre!
And after all of that we never received any official valuation report that you get afterwards that was promised.
Positives were that the valuation was about what other agents had said but a bit on the lower end but fine, not a problem. And the price. By far the lowest of any agent we'd spoken to so definitely would save some pennies.
So sadly, despite the excellent fees, the valuation just left us cold and a bit irked to be honest so we went with another agent.

If anybody is looking for an Independent Brooker, I cannot recommend MMS enough, especially Audrey.
We initially made an appointment to see Audrey to see what our options were, as first time buyers, we did not know what to expect. Upon meeting Audrey she was so helpful and answered all questions and queries that we had. She wasn’t pushy which we have discovered some Mortgage Brookers can be, especially with naive first time buyers. No matter the questions I had throughout the whole process of getting an AiP and then going ahead she would respond quickly and work hard to find the answers – the whole process has been a breeze and stress free.
MMS is such a lovely family-owned business and as soon as you walked in – you just felt at ease and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Steve @ Medway Mortgage shop has assisted my parents and sister in the past and came highly recommended. We first had an appointment with Steve in 2019 at the very start of our journey in to buying a house. Audrey and Lisa provided exceptional service and have been absolutely brilliant. Communication is faultless, Audrey was doing work on our offer at the weekend and chasing up solicitors for us. It really feels like you have family working with you ensuring you get the best deal.
When Audrey said they don’t charge a fee I was in utter shock as the service provided and how Audrey went above and beyond definitely deserved a fee.

The team at medway mortgage shop are amazing. I bought and sold the house with them and each time they couldn’t be more helpful. Over the phone discussions and face to face was brilliant, always making sure each step is understood before moving on and chasing the relevant companies without asking and actually showing passion towards getting everything done for me that needed to be. Undated me on everything even when the solicitors sometimes wouldn’t on small details to make sure I was kept in the loop and make sure I was reassured everything was going smoothly. Couldn’t have asked for a better team to be able to help me, from the get go I have been comfortable with them, never felt like I was a burden for asking what sometimes could be a silly question and always felt like they was on my side throughout. They are a family run business and you really get the feel of that when you’re in the shop which just puts all the worries and pressures you might feel when you buy/sell a house at ease.

This is the most amazing help we have received. We were in a very difficult situation, the interest only mortgage was due to end, and we didn't have the funds to pay back the capital. There was a lump sum that we would inherit, but it hadn't materialised in time, and the banks would no longer help.

I visited a couple of years back to get advice on getting my 1st mortgage, it was Steve I spoke to and he told me that it would be better to save a bit more before looking for a mortgage. What I liked was that he said that he wouldn't call me but if I wanted to use them then to contact him. I thought this was great as I didn't want to be pestered and just allowed me some thinking time.
I did go with MMS and I found them really helpful, gave great advice, and were helpful throughout despite the 1st mortgage i took out but the sale collapsed then the next property, which took about a year resulting in me having to reapply for another mortgage whilst that was going thought. I will definitely be using them in the future!

He, as always was incredibly patient and did everything he could to assist us when there were hold ups due to problems with solicitors etc. The service we received was outstanding overall and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use the Medway Mortgage Shop again in the future.

MMS were great in helping me with the Re-mortgage of my house. Myself lacking a knowledge in mortgages, and the jargon that goes with it, Steve was happy to arrange and sort everything for me. There was always someone in the office to deal with any queries too, nothing was too much bother. Would recommend and will be using again????

Me and my partner were first time buyers recommended to Medway mortgage shop. So we took the advice and we were so so glad we did! Our first meeting was during the midst of the pandemic but Medway mortgage shop remained very professional and we felt very safe when going to the shop! Steve couldn’t do enough to help us! As first time buyers we didn’t have a clue what we was doing, steve is very knowledgeable in all the areas we needed help in and was even able to help us with getting the house insurance and life insurance which was great for us getting everything done at one place! We had several problems due to the pandemic but Steve didn’t give up in helping to get us our mortgage, he went above and beyond in explaining every step and in getting our mortgage and kept us very up to date on the mortgage rates and housing market. Which was a lot due to the pandemic and some mortgages being taking away. Steve was never too busy to take our calls (we asked a lot of questions) and made sure that we got the right mortgage for us! These guys are just amazing. They are a family owned business, and the quality of service is exceptional. They gave me weekly updates on the progress of my house sale. They actively chased the buyers and their solicitors and got all questions answered as soon as possible. So we got the sale done in a relatively short time, and it was less stressful than when I have used other agents, and I got a good price for the house too. We were recommended to Audrey and the team at Medway Mortgage Shop and I’m so grateful and glad that we were.
After weighing up our options at different banks and not getting very far, Audrey really put a spring back in our step.
Upon first consultation we gave in all our details and got honest advise on what we could currently could afford as well as our options going forward and off we went with our list of ‘To Do’s.
Fast forward just 9 months and we were back and ready for re-assessment, this time during an Pandemic (COVID-19) and it couldn’t have gone smoother. A homely yet sterile environment, with good covid secure protocols. Audrey reassessed our situation and this time we were ready!
Finding a home the following day (yep, the next day) Audrey couldn’t have been more helpful along with her colleague Lisa. From start to finish the process has been seamless and I am certain when it is time to re-mortgage we will be back!

What can I say about the service this company provides other than I’d give them 10 stars if I could! They are fantastic, a real breath of fresh air, a company that actually focuses on customer service which in my opinion is a rarity these days. Right from the start from enquiring if I could buy a property all the way until completion and then again 2 years later on a remortgage, these guys (especially Steve) went above and beyond. My mortgage was difficult because I bought a house in probate and if it wasn’t for these guys I probably would have lost the property. They looked after me and wife every step of the way. We got our 2 year fixed mortgage through Medway mortgage shop about 19 months ago and without prompting we got a letter from them to say that our selected mortgage could be remortgaged straight away helping to save us money. They sent us all the details of the possible mortgages we could choose to go to and all it took was one phone call and it was all sorted. Didn't have to pay anything for this. Amazing service and really friendly explaining anything especially when we started as we were first time buyers. Brilliant.

I initially used the service of Medway Mortgage Shop (MMS) 17 years ago to get a Mortgage of my present house. I never promise to come back but I kept going back to use their services for my remortgages; in total I have done about 5 remortgages with them. I could have easily gone to other brokers that I know. But what is the point of repairing a working wheel? Its going to be share waste of time and resources.
MMS provides courteous, friendly, unbiased and above all very professional. I am unable to fault their services and will not think twice to recommend their services to friends and family.

Lack of communication.
Awful spelling on customer emails.
Saturday staff saying " we don't know, we only work saturdays".
