I have been coming here for many years. A good stadium as football grounds go. I definitely prefer the West Stand to the East Upper though due to the concourse area in the West Lower. Excellence abounds on every level at this most wonderful sporting venue!
PLEASE don't demolish the place and build a whole new stadium. Surely the correct approach is to replace both the Shed & Matthew Harding Stands with a continuation of the beautiful West Stand, then, once completed, move to bring the East Stand up to the same standard and specification.
I think it could be achieved by building two low-rise square towers (approximately 12 storey) at each end of the East Stand to house the Hotels and then joining the Shed & Matthew Harding Stands to the East Stand at 90°. This would then allow the East Stand to maintain its' height by having the third tier strung between the very uppers of each side tower.
This is an iconic"Cathedral" of sport, let's keep it up there with the World's very best!!!

Came to Stamford bridge at the age of 8 years old, guess what it was Chelsea v man United, my dad had no idea about football and football crowds but lifted me on his shoulders, where I saw George best take on players in his way, my favourite player was Charlie Cooke who took the ball from him, George best was by far the most talented footballer in that era, packed lunch and at the turnstiles at 1PM, offered a trial at Ipswich under Bobby Robson but my running and swimming seemed more important did eventually play senior football... As parent carer with a disabled child, we got a fantastic view point of the game.
Only downside, disabled seating area is limited compared with most premiership stadiums we have visited.
For a large stadium, blue badge parking availability is not good enough.

Great atmosphere with good stadium facilities. Chelsea shop, Stadium Tours, Museum, Hotel & Spa plus some restaurants.
We booked a tour which was taken by Len.

We also had a meet and greet by ex-Chelsea player Ron Harris "Chopper" to hear about his experiences at the club.
There was opportunities to grab autographs, get photos and ask questions.
He was very interesting man with some funny stories.

My brother's a big fan, of the Chelsea team, so we went there for a tour around the stadium. Me and my family bought a family ticket, for £65 pounds if I'm correct, which allowed us to visit the museum too. We have been told, that we will be able to do that, after the last tour, that was about to start in 10 mins, although after the tour, the museum was closed, and we had to leave the place. Even thought, I'm not a big fan of football, but even I found some of the parts of the tour interesting.... Read more

A mixed bag - a useful networking opportunity but also one of the worst experience of my life recently on 2 seperate visits.
A short visit to attend a club box event for new enterprises in the town I was birthed, was only welcomed with deplorable behaviour from some guests, who increased the tension during the talks so much so to the point that I decided to leave, because I could not concentrate enough to give a very important presentation to help others as well as rebuild my life.
The staff were excellent and some of the guests were fantastic especially a mature woman who was attending the event at the same time were kind. An elderly man, feeling ill was well cared for immediately.

Fantastic staff...I brought the tour for a gift to my partner. Our tour guide was amazing and waited for us to arrive, he was so kind and informative. We've had an amazing day.... Read more

To all the Chelsea fans out there. If you are a DIE HARD FAN OF CHELSEA then you would definitely visit the place. From getting your photo clicked with the actual trophy you will also see all the various other trophies won. You will also realize why Chelsea FC was formulated.
Now there are two tours which take place one only covers the museum and the other covers the Museum and the The Stadium. Please visit the stadium as early as possible to get the earliest time slot. You cannot visit the stadium on your own.

Quite a likable traditional stadium with character which is a plus point. We were in corporate hospitality in the Hollins Suite which was quite disappointing. The food was mass catering and lacked ambition or any flair, whilst the staff lacked enthusiasm and did not display the levels of service you would expect from a half decent restaurant let alone in a venue where you are paying a premium for the football and the experience.... Easy to access from the tube. High security around. Looks great. My grandad and I wanted to go get a drink in the pubs around the ground but none were open to away fans or you had to have a reservation. I was searched 4 times before getting into Stamford Bridge. No alchohol for away fans AT ALL. Nice clean facilities and Man City won 3-0! Sort this out Chelsea- not all away fans are hooligans. Craven Cottage puts you to Shame!... Read more

"Persistent Standing Will Not Be Tolerated" proclaimed my (away) ticket, a sentiment echoed by a sign in the stands.
Chelsea FC hate standing, it turns out, and they love signs.
"Do Not Enter The Yellow Area During The Game"
"Persistent Standing Will Not Be Tolerated" (presumably only displayed in the away end as Chelsea fans themselves seem to stand for the entire match)
Whenever anything remotely exciting happens a squad of stewards come pouring out to prevent a pitch invasion. I thought they were there in case of rowdy away fans, no, they line up to protect Chelsea players from Chelsea fans. God forbid there be some form of excitement. If this is a "Cathedral of Football" then it is for some fanatically puritan sect.
Apparently Chelsea fans have been banned from singing certain songs (probably enforced by a sign and another group of special "Song Police" stewards) which can't help the atmosphere. At least the Song Police don't have to do very much since, it seems, Chelsea fans only sing when they're winning.... Read more

Chelsea were a nothing club in the old days. Then a certain Russian turns up and ploughs millions of pounds to make Chelsea challenge for honours. Been to have a look round the ground on a normal weekday, and you see loads of tourists wandering around. Stamford Bridge is still as lovely as always. It was nice reading the quotes made by legendary players, their team mates, as well as quotes by various managers, on the wall. A cool place to visit. If you're a football fan or fan of the Chelsea team, it's an easy Tube ride out to the stadium and the tour took you to the best spots. The guide was knowledgeable and clearly a fan of the sport. There's great history to the stadium and you get to see the visitor locker room, Chelsea locker room, team seating on the field and visitor spots with great views. Your tour ticket includes access to the museum where you can find team uniforms, trophies and of course the large gift shop. If you're not a fan, you lose some of the excitement from not knowing the players, but you still get to enjoy the goosebumps of walking onto the field from the locker room and seeing 40,000 seats ready to cheer you on....
