I was dreading the whole process of selling my house in Battersea and interviewed three agents. It was clear very quickly that I wanted Rupert Innes to handle my sale; his knowledge of the area and the market status and his presentation of a realistic financial goal was very reassuring. He was also very personable.
I appointed him on the Wednesday and by the Friday his colleague Chené Taljaard was in touch asking if, even knowing the house was not prepared for viewings, I would let her show some buyers around, who she knew were right for the property. I had nothing to lose and so said yes. Within a week of that first viewing and then a second viewing, I had accepted an offer on the house, above the asking price and on terms regarding timings that were acceptable to me. The house never even went on a website.
Both Rupert and Chené liaised with my buyer regarding both what I wanted to leave behind and also when my onward purchase became mired in process. Not once did I feel any pressure, I was only encouraged and kept informed as to my buyers wishes.
Quite simply they knew their market and their buyer and made everyone comfortable, taking away all the stress associated with selling a property. If only they had been involved in the purchase of my new home, things would have been really sweet.
A lengthy testimonial i know, but in an age of people hiding behind computers and treating clients like a number, it is refreshing to meet personable, caring professionals and it behooves me to speak up on their behalf.
