We did it! Thanks to the team at Parkers, Tilehurst for achieving a successful sale in challenging market conditions. We tried two other local agents beforehand which did not lead to any success (during Truss budget era and oversupply of property periods). The team at Parkers, worked closely with me as a team to progress from marketing, arranging viewings, agreeing price change strategy and completion within 4 months as 2nd time buyers in a small chain. We were able to achieve of aim of using to a 3 bed with spacious driveway and garden ????. Alhamdulillah ????

Parkers of Tilehurst recently sold my parent's house and they have been excellent throughout the process, providing updates at every stage along the way.
The photographs, supporting videos with commentary and drone footage used to market the property were all of a very high quality. Parkers were very confident the property would be sold within 1 month of being marketed and an offer was made 2 weeks from going ‘live’.
All the staff at Parkers have been very responsive to my enquiries and very pleasant to deal with. They always made me aware of the viewings and ensured the house was fully secure after each one.
My parents bought the property from Parkers 48 years ago, so it’s very fitting that it’s been sold by them again. I’m very happy with the service provided by Parkers who provided clear communications from beginning to end of the sale process.

If you are trying to sell your house and wondering why it’s not happening maybe my experience can shed light on the reasons.
We booked a house viewing for Saturday at 1.45pm - got there early and after 10 minutes no-one had arrived. Called the office to be told - that property isn’t on our books - I assured the person I was speaking to I had arranged a viewing via the Tilehurst office and the board outside the house said Tilehurst office and they said oh yes - but you can’t possibly have a viewing as it’s not in the diary. I explained I had booked and confirmed the person’s name - was then told well they have another viewing at 2pm so you can’t have one.
So disappointing to make all the effort to view a property to be let down without much consideration.

Arrived ON TIME and delivered a Sales exchange that was totally backed up by proof of previous sales for our road.

Absolutley digraceful agents at the Tilehurst branch and in my opinion not very ethical. Very untrustworthy and cavalier in there approach, awful communication skills and a total absence of empathy. Add rudeness and arrogance into it all and a total unpleasent experience to say the least.
I was actually emailed and told by an agent that the asking price was more then shown and that I should bid accordingly.
I was also told that I wasn't allowed to make further bids on a property, quote "Lets draw a line in the sand" end quote. A total disregard of respect towards buyers and any pragmatic philosophy they have towards negotiating.

The service and support from the entire team at Parkers in Tilehurst was fantastic, from start to finish. Charlie, Tom, Luca, and the rest of the Sales Team did a great job with marketing our property. Their use of technology like virtual tours really helps your home stand out.
When we unfortunately had our initial buyers fall through, the team re-listed, hosted viewings, and had new buyers in place within a week, saving our onward purchase.
Emma in Sales Progression was instrumental in pushing the sale through to completion, managing the chain, and keeping us informed. The whole journey would have been much more difficult without her support.

Through no fault of her own she ended up having trouble paying rent and bills and Lauren was really understanding and helpful in this matter. As a result of their marketing we were able to accept an offer promptly, and while this didn't proceed satisfactorily, they quickly found an alternative buyer.

I don’t do reviews, and in my 62 years and numerous house sales, I have never felt happy enough to write one about an estate agent.
Emma at Parkers, and Parker’s in general, are the exception to the rule. I have seen another review stating how proactive these guys are, and I can only echo that sentiment. They earn their money and Emma worked incredibly hard on my behalf, especially with my useless solicitors. I really felt Emma was “on my side”, and really pushed things along through some quite complicated negotiations.
I resent paying commission, but in this case, they were excellent value for money.
Never thought I’d say that about an estate agency!

I was renting a property through Parkers, and my experience wasn't as great as those who were buying/selling through this agency. The communication is really poor from the property management side. I was not able to get hold of them for days, and even if they started to pick up issues, it took weeks to get even the most simplest thing sorted. A week before the COVID 19 lock down I had an offer for full asking price on my property to which I accepted. Thank you ever so much to team Parkers Tilehurst. Initially I chose another estate agent as they offered a lower fee however the Parkers team kept in touch during our marketing and after a rather torrid time with my initial choice I switched to Parkers Tilehurst who truly lived upto their promise.
Their photos and virtual tours were fantastic. We sold our property in about 4 weeks and achieved exactly what we expected price wise and even slightly more than what Parkers thought although still within their agreed marketing price. Ellie negotiated particularly well for us although we didn't exactly make her job easy :)
Emma was brilliant at keeping in touch with us once the sale had been agreed and we was really impressed how they validate buyers to ensure they are fit to proceed, very efficient.

The seller I brought from were using Parkers (Tilehurst). Before this I had a few viewing of other properties with them, where they were on time and shown each house in a good light. What also help was that they were not overly pushy, which has put me off even seeing houses with other estate agents. When it came to the stage for me to put my offer in, there were three different offers and kept me informed of standing of my offers. After this everything went smoothly, they even helped me find a surveyor for asbestos when my lender require extra information on the state of the building. all in all, I put my offer in early January and I had then completed by early March, I would definitely recommend to friends and family (or use myself) when it came to selling in the area.

Terrible experience renting a house through Parkers tilehurst. Repairs not carried out in a timely manner, rude staff in their lettings team. No responsibility taken for tenants health and safety it’s all about protecting the landlords. Be wary when renting a property through Parkers and check who the landlord is if it is managed by them. Also put everything in writing if you do rent thought them. Anything verbal will be lied about and told it didn’t happen. Finally 3 years of stress, grief and upset is now over since we’ve moved away from Parkers!

I do not recommend. The only competent person there is Jayne. But she alone will not do anything on the scale of the incompetence of other employees.
Everything was ok until I had to change my place of residence.
They announced their visits 16 hours before the planned arrival, and when I do not agree to them, they would come with clients banging on the doors and windows for 20 minutes, and then write emails full of regret that they saw someone in the window (86-year-old grandmother who did not have idea what was going on and she was afraid that someone would want to break in).
After moving out, they submitted to TDS false invoices for repairing the washing machine, issued by a plumber (living in this house before me), which I allegedly spoiled after 3 months of use. They collected money from my deposit for repairing it (despite the fact that I left them a new washing machine and sent the proof of purchase in the form of an invoice to the agency). I left the house on April 1, on April 6 I had an appointment for carpet washing and cleaning. On April 8, I received an email saying that everything is ok, but they are still asking to improve the garden, because the grass has grown back. So on April 13 I came with a gardener who left the garden in a better condition than I found when I moved in.
On April 13 I also gave the keys, paying for pensions until April 24 and giving the possibility of early rent to new tenants.
The check out report was conducted on April 29. They demanded £ 185 for a cleaning company, for dust and £ 185 for a gardener, because the grass had grown and weeds appeared, plus the cost of repairing an old washing machine, which is not really there, because I paid for removing the old.
But since the agency claims, based on the documents presented, that they have repaired the old washing machine ... I could probably do nothing but show up at the previous house to collect my washing machine.
TDS is not able to check the credibility of the invoices, so he advises me to take it to court.
I'll do it anyway. But I advise you to avoid this agency if you don't want to fight a few months later to get your money back. Special if you are calm, don't want to agrue with people or you are imigrant. They will distroy you mentally.

I sold and purchased through Parker’s back in the summer and the service we experienced was second to none, Simon and his team are brilliant, I felt I was kept in the loop about everything and Simon did everything he could to make sure the whole process went without any problems. Simon Gregory and the team were fantastic throughout.
When our buyer fell through (through no fault of Parkers), Simon worked tireless to find a new buyer so we could stay in the same chain. Simon coordinated with everyone in the chain and made sure everything went to plan. He kept us informed every step of the way, often replying to emails late at night.
During the final few days when things were getting stressful for us, Simon was always on the end of the phone or email making sure we knew exactly what was happening.

Poor service to say the least.
First things first I am quite happy to name drop a Mr Simon Gregory for having a terribly unprofessional and sarcastic attitude - I'd say he needs a serious review by his seniors and some training on how to do his job.
After being accepted on a property from there on it was all under Parkers terms to suit their needs and their needs only. They tried extremely hard to rush the sale of the property where I hadn't even had a chance to book a survey in!
Simple questions I had about the property which should have been communicated from Parkers to the Vendor were complexly ignored leaving me none the wiser.
Parkers were also quick to get into contact with my solicitors even after I had asked them to hold off a week in doing so (which I got charged for thank you very much) it clearly wasn't a priority for them for me to even be able to arrange a survey for a house I was buying?!
Commission chasers and poor salesmanship, sheer lack of any understanding of decent customer service.
Resulted in myself withdrawing from the sale which I'm sure left a very unhappy vendor!

We were first time landlords (joint owners), and used Landlord services offered by Parkers, unsure of what to expect. To our pleasant surprise the whole team gave us very good professional service and were extremely helpful (Particularly Steve). Steve is unfailingly willing to advise and help, responding promptly to any request and providing the necessary and appropriate degree of assistance in a timely manner.
It was not the easiest of transactions, and did have some issues with ever changing tenant’s situation. This put us into some concern initially, but Steve managed the situation very well made the whole move so much easier with minimal impact to us. The colleagues are nice and friendly and are a pleasure to deal with.
Now looking back into the whole process, within the constraints of our involvement in the estate agents world, Parkers support has been faultless. We are extremely satisfied with the overall service and would have no hesitation in recommending Parkers for Landlord services.

My wife and I sold our property through Parkers and we have to say, the service was superb.
In summary, the move was supposed to take place in November but due to complications with the chain, the move took longer than expected which became more and more stressful especially with Christmas coming up and wanting to be in and settled before Christmas.
Simon and the team worked around the clock to ensure they provided full updates and constant communication. The process was managed brilliantly and even when we thought the move was going to carry into 2016, Simon and the team kept working hard to ensure the move happened before Christmas.

When I have made contact with the Tilehurst branch the reception team have always made sure that messages are passed on accurately and I was always called or emailed back very quickly and with information and answers, at no point did I feel like we were being put off or an inconvenience to any member of staff.

I cannot recommended Parkers and Simon Gregory highly enough, We went to Parkers to handle the sale of our mother's house and the family home that she'd lived in for almost 60 years; Simon was both extremely understanding of my mother's concerns, not having moved for over 50 years, and our commercial expectations. He gave us a well-informed market evaluation and we agreed a target sale price very quickly; we were very impressed with the professionalism and commitment he showed us from that point on - we received multiple offers within 2 weeks and the process of then selecting the buyer was thorough and handled with integrity. As a fairly demanding client (!) I felt Simon handled my numerous questions and expectations around timeline with skill and diplomacy and I felt confident he had a very strong command of the dynamics of the sale chain. He kept us fully informed at every stage and handled communications and questions with the buyers highly professionally. He was friendly, courteous and professional at all times. We eventually completed in early November, from accepting an offer in mid July, which seems to be a standard timeline at the moment and he was on our side to the end. Very impressive.

I have had vast experience of many agents across the UK and overseas and can honestly say the service I received from Parkers is by far the best.
I am hard to please when it comes to customer service but I could not fault them. I never had to ask twice for anything which is a rarity in this day and age. The personal service they office is second to none.
Fingers crossed I will not be needed the service of an Estate Agents again in the near future but if I did, they would be top of the list.

All the staff were very helpful in helping my elderly mum to move house. They seemed to communicate well with each other, so if Dan wasn't available to talk on the phone, someone else could. Dan was very kind and helpful to my elderly mum, and the advice given to me was always helpful. Contact with purchasers, solicitors etc was always swift. My only negative comment would be that sometimes we felt pressurised to move more quickly than we were able to (moving an elderly person needs to be done gently) but I guess they were just doing their job of moving things along! Thanks to all the team for your help.
