I’ve got to say, buying a house through this estate agency has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had. From the very beginning the communication was poor. You’d ring them and nobody would get back to you, emails would sit unanswered for days, and when you did finally manage to speak to someone you’d get a different answer every time.
We were months into the process thinking everything was moving along nicely, paying for surveys, solicitors, mortgage arrangements — the lot — only to suddenly find out there were serious issues with the property that the agency apparently already knew about. Instead of being upfront about it, they just kept things ticking along as if nothing was wrong, while we kept spending money.
By the time the truth came out we were already well out of pocket and completely drained by the whole thing. What really wound me up was the attitude when we raised our concerns. Rather than taking any responsibility, they brushed it off like it was just “one of those things” that happens when you’re buying a house. No proper apology, no effort to make things right — nothing.
Buying a home is stressful enough as it is, but you’d expect the estate agent to actually help the process along. Instead it felt like we were constantly chasing them, trying to get straight answers. Honestly, the whole experience left a really bad taste. I wouldn’t be in a rush to deal with them again, and I’d definitely tell others to be careful before using them.

Really shocked by the overall experience. Luke Dixon is running a business of lies and dishonesty. They will withhold information, refuse to acknowledge harm, refuse to improve and if you explain the issues they add you to a blacklist and tell all the sellers not to accept offers from you. They cost us getting a great property, and told the seller we were not of good character. Disgusted and insulted, looking for legal advice against them now. No care for disabilities either.

Parkers tried to sell us a property that was a financial trap, with high debts and many hidden fees. When our solicitor discovered the situation, and our lender refused to give us a mortgage, Parkers went on to highjack our offer on a second property. We placed an offer in. After calling about 50 times for three days, written a dozen of mails, they contacted the seller and told him we were not trustworthy people. I am autistic and suffer with severe anxiety, this experience caused me panic attacks and an overall feeling of sickness from this behaivour. They refused everything on the call, while the seller told us specifically, that after talking with Parkers he thinks he cannot trust us as we have history.

We really appreciated not only the professionalism from Harry, but also the reassurance he provided throughout the whole process. We were always able to pick up the phone or send an email, and Harry would respond with complete clarity and confidence we needed. Sadly, this is something we had not experienced with previous local agents before changing to Parkers.

Parkers Chinnor and in particular Charlie Lowe have been absolutely outstanding for us during our house sale and move. Charlie (and Jayson also!) was such a personable individual who completely understands the area, the market and what a seller and a buyer needs to feel comfortable and relieved. Any emergency or issue and Charlie would go the extra mile to help, at times when not even in office! This is the second time we have used Parkers and would completely recommend to anyone. They have made what is a stressful time far more simple.

We just moved house and two of the properties in our chain were through Parkers Stroud, including the one we were purchasing. These sales were being managed by Matt Flemming. We had to try to get this chain through to completion before Christmas because our buyers were in temporary accommodation with relatives. This only gave us 9 weeks to get everything completed, which in the current market conditions was almost impossible. Matt was absolutely superhuman in managing the whole chain almost single handed. In the last 2 weeks of the process, Matt called us every day to update us and share progress. He dealt with the sellers, buyers, other estate agents and the solicitors. Unbelievably the process was completed within the 9 week target, mainly due to the unwavering commitment of Matt. I would strongly recommend using Matt Flemming at Parkers Stroud, whether you are buying or selling, he gets the job done.

I had a really poor experience with this company , the experience went from dropping the price on a very regular basis down and down and down not seeming to do there due diligence , when the sales kept falling through we felt pushed to provide expensive surveys for prospective buyers all for it to collapse time and again and the only answer was to drop . We left them and went for another agent who sold quickly at a higher price . Beware
