We’ve been without hot water since 26th Dec, reported to Pattison on 27th Dec and still nothing has been done. We’ve been without any hot water supply and Pattison had done nothing to help fix this issue. Keep passing the buck & still telling us they need landlord’s authorisation to carry out any repair work, even a temporary fix, still refusing to give us the landlord’s contact details to speak and ask for him to look into this matter urgently. I have been dealing with Beth & Gabrielle in the Sunderland Office in relation to my late mothers property. It's not on the market yet as we're getting a few things sorted first, but they could not have been more helpful Beth with arranging the valuation and the two just generally keeping in touch with us since with general updates. Stay FAR AWAY from this unprofessional branch. If possible, try to avoid dealing with Beth Curtis. She talks about email evidence and once I send emails she acknowledges that there is a technical glitch in the system and then has the cheek to say she’s not received documents that I’ve provided prior to the purchasing journey. Once my mortgage had been offered, they still went behind my back and put the house on the market. However, I’ve always informed them of my updates to ensure them that progress is being made however they’ve failed to log these into their system. Which means I’ve received so many phone calls from a number of their staff as their system has failed to update this information. You can try to be open with communication but these folks actually go behind your back and put the house back on the market. What an unprofessional branch!... Read more

If I could give 0 stars then I 100% would. I would not recommend this estate agent to anyone. I saw a property that I liked, I placed an offer, the offer was accepted, survey was carried out, mortgage was successful and solicitors were instructed. I was 75% of the way through the transaction. Pattinson had told me that once the property gets to this stage then no viewings would be permitted for the property (this is the norm as many other estate agents also don't take viewings once a property is under offer). Whilst I was 75% through the transaction, Pattinson called me 3 days ago to inform me that someone has viewed the property twice over the weekend and placed a higher cash offer. They told me I had until close of business (3 hours) to decide if I wanted to increase the offer or I would lose the property. The law in England and Wales allows a vendor or buyer to withdraw from a transaction at any point before the exchange of contracts, however, as a first time buyer I relied on pattinson's professional advice that the property would not be viewed once under offer. Had the property not been viewed (which according to Pattinson it shouldn't have been) no higher cash offer would have been placed and I would not have incurred such financial losses. I will be escalating this complaint to the ombudsman, meanwhile I wanted to make others aware of Pattinson's lack of honesty and integrity. I wonder if Pattinson would allow me to book a viewing for one of their existing properties that's under offer now?... Read more

Me and my partner recently just bought our first home together and the staff at Pattinson Sunderland branch and the Silverlink Branch have been amazing, I can't thank them enough for how polite and helpful they were especially after I had such a poor experience with two other estate agents. The team at Pattinson have always been able to answer my questions and were extremely quick with getting back in touch with me with any information from the seller. Overall bad experience, no communication between referencing and branch who continued to lose documents throughout the whole process, over charged referencing costs by £50.00 which when we questioned were apologised too, we decided overall to pull out as they all kept giving us different information and couldn’t give a straight answer at all to practically any questions we had, only once a complaint had put in would they even respond helpfully or partially helpfully, the property was very nice but would not ever consider going back to Pattinsons no matter how nice the property, also when we pulled out we were told no refund would be given even though the incorrect charges were paid and we overpaid £50.00 which was never seen again, the only part of the process which was nice and simple was the exiting of the deal despite losing £300.00 it was nicer than the thought of having to be locked into a living arrangement with Pattinsons. They did similar to my parents when they were selling a property causing lots of lost money and inconvenience but that’s a completely different matter. Back to my original dissatisfaction my only request following the drop out of the contract was to have a reason on letter headed paper to confirm why I wasn’t refunded the payment and querying the £50.00 extra, to which I was told the manager does not have word and cannot issue this which I think is disgraceful. Since went with a different estate and letting agent who are perfect and I cannot fault them one bit.... Read more
