With the emphasis currently being on resourcing available properties, the quality of service and time given to prospective buyers has dwindled. If you're asking who to sell with, don't. Just use Pittis. I bought my house through them and they were great and now I've sold my house through them and I couldn't be happier. Nothing was too much trouble, they chased for me and minimised the stress for me (as a new Mum and worrier; this was a massive relief). The team are all friendly and they all knew what was going on with my sale, even if I didn't get through to who usually dealt with it. They genuinely care about you as a person and are not just in it for the money. They have helpful and easy to use systems and even valued the house via video call. They really went over and above. I feel like I've actually made a real friend in Shonaigh in particular, who is just the kindest, most thoughtful and hardworking person. I would recommend Pittis to anyone and if I ever move again, there'll be no question of who I go to. I've had to deal with others in the process of viewing and purchasing a new house and quite simply they just highlighted how excellent the service was with Pittis. We have learnt a lot this year about estate agents and one thing that we will take forward is that you definitely need your estate agent to help you buy as well as sell (especially in the crazy post COVID bubble). Shonaigh from Pittis, in the Cowes branch has really stood out for us in terms of helping us to find somewhere to buy. She has kept in touch with us regularly, been creative in her thinking about our needs and pushed us forward for early viewings. Awful agent. Five months of enduring belittling and condescending calls and emails for using a 'niche' lender (one of us is self employed with own Ltd Company). Claimed there was no asbestos in the property we were buying. We finally had a survey carried out post-pandemic only to find this was a lie. Attached is a photo of the final email sign off from the Branch Manager, Alastair Gates. In case you cannot read the text in the picture for whatever reason, here it is for all to see: "I wish you all the best with your property search from here on out however I think it is best that we no longer communicate directly and if you wish to purchase a property through Pittis again then I will direct you to one of my colleagues in a different office as I could not bare the thought of spending another 6 months of receiving berating emails and calls from you trying to tell everyone how to do their job." A truly traumatic experience. Having now spoken to a number of other people who are anti-Pittis, I wish I'd never had the misfortune of crossing paths with them - ESPECIALLY the branch manager.... Pittis were tasked with selling my late Mothers house on the IOW, whereas I live off Island - this began just a few weeks before everything changed with Covid and the lockdown. Pittis valued the house at a reasonable price, marketed with good photos and description and kept me updated via their online portal, phone and email. They promised an open house two weeks after going on the market, however this never happened as they secured 4 viewings within the firs two weeks and secured an offer with one of those 4 clients (at near asking price). Then lockdown occurred, and they not only kept me informed but also kept an eye on the property for me where I could not get to the Island. Once lockdown started to lift, the sale continued to proceed (with their recommended conveyance panel), they assisted in finding a company to clear the house, and continued to run a few errands for me to reduce the need for me to return to the Island (all above and beyond). The sale completed today, and overall Pittis did a very good job, a few minor hiccups along the way but considering what has been happening over the last 3 months, they really have performed well. Highly Recommended, and shout out to both Shonaigh and Alastair at the Cowes Office for making this such a smooth process for me at a time of both bereavement and lockdown.... Read more

To be avoided. I enquired about a property via Rightmove and ticked the “no email” box. I was never contacted about the property I was interested in but they put me on the spam email list and wouldn’t remove me so I had to ask my employer to blacklist @pittis.co.uk which they did. Why would I be interested in other properties when the sales folk couldn’t be bothered to contact me about the one I liked???... Read more
