For the sake of anonymity I won’t mention any names… The agent arrived late and didn’t notify me until 15 mins after the schedule time to let me know they will be a further 15-20 mins. They confirmed viewings for two properties and then only told us one was under offer when eventually showing up and claimed they notified us and that the email confirmation would reflect this… which it didn’t as it said we had two viewings. Then they told my wife to just forget about it rather rudely when she respectfully expressed her disappointment. They then accused me of not being serious when giving a genuine offer and proceeded to lecture me on the phone without giving me a proper chance to speak. I had to respectfully interrupt them to get a word in. It’s a shame really we have been looking for properties for over a year now and this was the first time we were exposed to this level of inconsideration.... Read more

Been looking for a new flat through lockdown, followed the good reviews left previously and had a look on the site - some good properties, but on ringing to book an appointment was greeted by an incredibly rude person who told me that it may take two or three weeks to book a viewing. Finally did get a viewing at one of their properties and the place was nothing like the online listing. I was also told that they may not be able to take me on as a tenant as I'm pregnant - it's 2021!!!! Really shocked at the lack of professionalism, and made me question the reviews before - do yourself a favour and look them up on a proper review site, or through their facebook where there are less posts made by friends of the company - these are dodgy dealers. I have used Property Time in North London for about 6 years. I stuck with them as they have consistently provided me with reliable and decent tenants. I have genuinely never had a problem, with either the office or the tenants. They even found me tenants during the early part of the pandemic. I've never used them as a management company, so I cant comment on that. I can see some of the complaints refer to lapsed timings for viewings. I cant comment on that either though I suppose it is not easy to get round London for a busy schedule of appointments. What I can say with certainty is that the company is diligent and conscientious - I believe you can see this through their responses to the reviewers. I personally do not doubt the integrity of of the office and life would be a lot nicer if people were more mindful of the difficulties a global pandemic has brought upon everyone's shoulders - even letting agents!... Recently, a friend was telling me about an awful experience they had recently had in trying to arrange a viewing on a flat in N London. We chatted for a bit about the lack of professionalism of the estate agent, before realising it was the very same estate agent I had had a nightmare experience with a few years ago. The chat prompted me to look up the agency online, only to find the many awful reviews you see before this one. I don't seem to remember having any issues with arranging a viewing, but once in the house, I constantly met with problems, from a constantly broken boiler, to house calls at inappropriate times (unexpected 7am house visit anyone?!) by someone who seemed to have some relation to the estate agent. I love supporting local businesses, and as many today do, really appreciate the effort that family run businesses put into their work, but from my time living in a PropertyTime property, I would advise anyone to continue in their flat search by finding another agency. The smarmy, inappropriate responses to previous reviews on this site further confirm my suspicions that this is a dodgy outfit run haphazardly and lazily. Funny how a random chat can bring up all sorts of forgotten feelings from the back of my mind! Good luck in your housing search, and I hope you find yourself in a property looked after by one of the many professional and caring estate agents across London - sadly you will not find this with the jack-the-lads at PropertyTime.... Horribly unprofessional! Arranged a viewing- they were very inflexible with the time to start with. They confirmed it by email and text and finally no one showed up!! We were left waiting outside of the property for 30 min. We called them twice while waiting. both times the person picking up had no clue if even someone was on their way to the property, she said they'd call back ASAP, they didn't do that either.... Sellers and buyers beware, it is near on impossible to arrange a viewing with this company. When you call, the only person you can speak to is a receptionist who can only take messages. Whereas with other estate agents you can make a viewing directly with one call, Property Time say they will call you back - a week later. If you miss the call, they send you a generic email with the same questions you have repeatedly answered. I managed to arrange a viewing for one property which was cancelled on the day with only a few hours notice. I then had to start the rigmoral of trying to arrange another viewing. The property I was interested in was reduced by £30,000K. Would this still be the case if more prospective buyers were able to view the property without such immense hassle? If I was a seller I would not be happy with agents who make it so difficult for buyers to view the property, a basic tenet of an estate agents job.... Read more

A bad experience overall. The agent was 20 minutes late to the viewing after I initially called asking for a time that would suit the agent as I had taken the whole day off work. I was not allowed to film the property even though I was searching with 3 other members who couldn't make it. I was also not told the fact that two of the bedrooms could hardly fit more than a double bed, had I known this before I could have saved about an hour of my time and 30 minutes of the agent's. I would have known this if a floor plan was on the advertisement however there was not one shown.... Read more

After initially seeming well organised and efficient I was left standing outside a property on Highgate road I was very keen to rent. No one turned up and I tried to call the agency to find out if there was a delay but I didn't get an answer on the phone. After waiting 15 minutes I left and then recieved a call asking how far away I was. It's a shame as they have some lovely properties on their site but customers won't appreciate their time being wasted.... Read more

We have a flat in Hampstead and before putting it on the market we got 14 agents in for their opinions and appraisals. Ken stood head and shoulders above the rest. He is a professional person with integrity and a lovely manner. When he spoke to us it was with honesty, optimism and professionalism - none of that awful, wide-boy rubbish that many agents bluster. He is candid, charming and helpful with advice and more than anything else he and his team in the office are an utter delight to work with and incredibly hard-working. Nothing is ever too much trouble - this is old-fashioned service at its absolute best. It is a tough market following Brexit but we have been amazed at the number of people Ken got through our door. We were not expecting that many viewings and are impressed with him. Whenever I was in the office local people would pop in to say hello - I cannot see that happening with these brash, unedifying large chains. If anyone is reading this wondering whether to go with Ken or fall for the spiel of these huge chains - go with Ken. In a world where every property is marketed through the democratic online portals (rightmove, zoopla etc) the ONLY differentiations between agents are fees and service. Ken is competitive and you absolutely will not find better service than at his office.... Read more
