Spent the good part of a year after continual rent hikes and a blind eye over basic safety standards trying to evict and make way for a new renter able to fork over an extra hundred quid every month. Cut to a few months later, there's been a fire and a resident of the flat two from mine rushed to Birmingham in critical condition - no doubt the blame will be set on them.
Housing is a fundamental human right. Where (god forbid) the private sector comes into play, landlords NEED tougher regulation.

DO NOT RENT A PROPERTY THROUGH RED STONES.
No work gets done on property’s, when you have floods they tell you ‘what do you want me to do’. There are certain staff at red stones are very blunt and in helpful and Are only half awake a lot of the time.

It my worst experience with this agency. I been to view the property and I ask them immediately to send me the form and they didn't send me I called them 3 times on same day and they said property is gone. Wasting time of others.

I had an appointment today with Surajdeep Chung at 12:45 to view a property at Smiths flour mill. Surajdeep called me this morning asking if we could do 12:30 instead. I arrived to view the property at 12:20 and parked. No one had arrived by 12:35 so I called the office to see where he was, I was told he was in the property. I wasn't told which block it was so I looked and called the office again and they advised. When I found the block I buzzed the number numerous times and eventually someone came down. The person that came down was also there to view the property and said he had been Knocking the door for at least 5 minutes or more and had called the office. We waited a few minutes after knocking again and then the other viewer called the office again. Someone at the office then told him that Surajdeep had now left and couldn't return. I would love for someone to explain how he got there and left within the space of less than 15 minutes without any of us seeing him come or go. Clearly he was never there. So not only could he not be bothered to attend and let the viewers know, the office also lied and said he had been there. I will leave it to the readers of this review to decide but my advise as a viewer is not to bother. Landlords find another company as Redstones will lose you business.

Because of the incompetence of the staff working at Redstones, I missed out on the potential of renting my own home. I requested an application 3 TIMES in less than 24 hours after viewing the property and was promised it would get sent straight away (which was not the case) thus the landlord accepted another applicant.

I needed to discuss the tenancies at short notice and asked for information, which they provided by email within literally minutes. Staff in all departments were available for discussion, answered all my questions and took the time to give knowledgeable, professional local advice. Highly recommended.

Neil has been very responsive to all enquiries. I have been able to call Neil at short notice and he has always ensured any issues have been dealt with straight away. Thank you.

Once again, Redstones have excelled all expectations with my most recent let. From start to finish they have handled all operations efficiently and kept me up to date with where my move in is, thanks to the good work of Kate and Amanda. After each viewing I have received in depth reports on viewers feedback from Linsey and whenever my tenants have had an issue, I've had the pleasure of dealing with Katie on maintenance who's quick and proactive approach ensures the tenants stay happy!
Not to forget both Matt and Neil on sales who attended one of my properties quickly when I mentioned about selling, giving me a list of similar properties that sold in the area for comparisons and ran me through all of their selling options, as well as providing me with great solicitors at a very good price after they found a buyer within 4 days!! I will definitely return on my next sale/purchase.
I can't thank Manjit and the team enough, they have made my years of letting and selling easy and I believe they will continue to do so.

We have used Redstones constantly for both lettings and sales, anything from managing our properties, dealing with maintenance, complying with the most recent regulations and laws, Redstones have been on-the-ball and in the know. We've never had an issue with anyone we have dealt with, all staff members are knowledgeable and deal with any issue or enquiry perfectly. Would 100% recommend to sellers, buyers and investors.

Have to say my experience of letting my property out through Redstone's has been nothing but "superb". I have had the pleasure of dealing with Amanda, Neil, Katie and Kate .. and they have all been excellent! In total they had over 20 viewings on my property within the space of 48 hours, and seem to have found the ideal tenants for us. I have had plenty of experience of dealing with agents for both sales and lettings and have to confess most have been pretty "average" - Redstone's have excelled against their peers. Looking forward to a long lasting relationship!

It was a pleasure meeting Amanda and communicating with Kate.It is hard to find the professionalism Amanda has, she made me feel safe for my choice and she answered all my questions while we did the viewing .Kate was there for every question I had, she always came back with an email explaining me every detail. It was a surprise for me to find these two ladies. Most agencies they don't even answer the phone properly. It was the first time for me , I had to call more than 10 agencies. I can say only this , I am happy I found them , because a good agency has serious clients. Thank you again for everything .

Disappointed isn't the word!! I enquired about a property and called up a few times to this estate agents and I was promised first slot for a viewing, so I waited 1 month for the keys to become available on the 1st July, I booked half at day at work, then received a call 2 hours before the viewing informing me the property had been taken. I lost half a days pay and wasted 1 month when i could have carried on browsing for other places. Let down and annoyed is an understatement!!

I have been looking for a property for several months and have found several I liked through Red Stones. I can’t thank everyone there enough for always being so helpful. Every single time I have enquired nothing has ever been to much trouble for them. Katie Hammonds in particular has been a pleasure to deal with, she is always so friendly which is so refreshing. Looking for a property can be quite a daunting prospect with so many factors to consider but Katie has made the whole process actually enjoyable! I never feel like I am being an inconvenience when I ask her several (probably silly) questions. She is very professional and her experience makes such a massive difference. I honestly can’t thank you enough Katie for all that you have done (& continue to do) to help me and my family find the right property for us. DISGUSTING COMPANY.
REPORT TO THE PROPERTY OMBUDSMAN AND TRADING STANDARDS.
LANDLORDS BEWARE. They won't do any property checks, read meters or maintain your property etc. In fact they won't do anything you've paid them for in terms of managing your property They will only offer tenants a 6 month tenancy so they can keep charging you fees to find a new tenant.
TENANTS BEWARE. They will ignore any communication from you once you've moved in. They will charge you a non refundable holding fee before they make you aware of their mountain of other charges. They will tell you to sort out any maintenance issues yourself. They will charge you extortionate fees, often charging for the same thing they've charged the landlord for. They will make up lies to withold your deposit.
Redstones are taking both landlords and tenants for fools. Everyone at the office lies. The owner is arrogant. They quite simply prey on honest trusting people. It's time Redstones were made accountable for their disgusting practises.
(The only person to give a 5 star rating is Chloe Davies who is a Redstones employee. Another example of this company's dishonesty).

Trust me, renting from this agency is not worth it. Firstly you are responsible to fix anything and everything that goes wrong in the property...secondly they will hit you with charges and fees out of no where, for example I paid £95 to renew your contract every 12months. I’ve miss-placed my current contract and ask if they could provide me with a copy £35 I had to pay for the copy. Lived in the property for years, now I’m trying to move and ask for a tenancy reference £35 charge. God for bid you’re 2weeks late with rent it’s the threats of adding on charges and fees and trust me it’s not just a threat they’ll add fees and charges. I’m honestly just kicking myself for not moving earlier. These people are very friendly at first, obviously they have to be until you’ve moved in...trust me you’ll never have a happy home dealing with this agency
