I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Savills--both with Sarah in lettings and Mathew in property management. We were moving internationally, and Savills was one of the only letting agencies that would work with us before we arrived. In fact, they were able to verify our identities in a US branch, which expedited the whole process. The property is just what we expected. Can only speak for my experience with the lettings side as I have had no dealings with sales. Savills talks a big game, charges even bigger fees and neither met expectations.
The team were perfectly polite, but that’s pretty much where the positive experience ended. For a start, the brochure that the agent produced was astonishingly poor; the photographer was great, but I spent two hours correcting the wording, grammar, spelling and punctuation! This is what the client pays an agent for …
Communication was initially very limited; I requested callbacks that never came, though admittedly this improved (with prompting). The main agent showing my property failed to arrange an initial viewing for me to show the property to them. How can you authentically show a property to a viewer when you don’t know a thing about it yourself?
Feedback from viewings was extremely scant. Whilst an (one!) offer was received during the time Savills had the property, this didn’t meet the requirements for a tenant that I had expressed at the outset.
Sorry to say that so many basic things were missed and I expected much better from Savills.... Read more

We bought a property via Savills Cheltenham.
Omer did a stellar job throughout the sales process. He was very proactive, efficient, and had all the information, facts and nuances of the property that we were viewing. Omer organized timely viewings and came prepared with information to hand.
During the sales process he liaised with multiple parties to ensure completion was done on time and dealt with any blockers in a very prompt proactive manner. Even after the sales, he continues to help us with any further information on the property.
Omer's great work ethics, professionalism has definitely enhanced our impression about Savills as a company.

Worst experience I have every had with an estate agent. Asked them to value a property arranged a day and time. I waited one hour over the agreed time but the agent didn't show up. Called the Savills office and they apologised. He turned up the next day and said he would send me the valuation within 24 to 48 hours. A week later I call his office but he then refused to tell me his valuation, very bizarre.... Read more

Bought through Savills and that was fine. Ian who does the viewings is very helpful and Sophia in the office was great too.
THEN we rented the flat out with Savills which we wont be doing again.
Poor service from multiple people in the run up to the start of the tenancy and this continues now. The cost for services they quoted were extortionate for the work that needed to be done, ie cleaning and some odd jobs.
The service has not improved much now the tenant has moved in with maintenance jobs not being sorted promptly and rent not being paid across in a timely manner.
Im sure there are far better letting agents in Cheltenham and wouldnt recommend Savills because of their name.... Read more
