SBK were very good throughout the process. To start, they valued our house at around 10% more than other estate agents and we sold for nearly exactly what they said. I would say they know the local market extremely well and the value/sell-ability of a character home. Phil was extremely proactive, professional and communicative from start to finish. He actually ended up finding the house we purchased before it was officially on the market, which gave us a huge advantage. Can’t recommend SBK highly enough from the point of view of buying, selling and being a landlord. They go way beyond any other agent I have dealt with. Even when recuperating from an op Phil came and helped me with the contract, posting it for me and picked me up when I couldn’t drive and took me to re view the property I was buying. We used SBK for the sale of our property and we are so pleased we did. It is rare to pay for a service and be 100% satisfied. This is how we felt the service was with SBK, it was exceptional. Most of our communication was done with Phil and Davey and then Peter for sales progression. All were a credit to the business. We were selling a character property which was in need of updating and we knew this would attract a certain type of buyer. Phil also explained that because of the property type we may need to be patient. As it turned out we didn’t have to wait too long for the sale to happen. During the process it was disappointing to see other local agents bombard us with letters trying to question SBK with no substance. We felt this was very unprofessional and confirmed we made the right decision. We were so pleased to use SBK, from start to finish the whole experience was first class, I cannot recommend highly enough.

I must confess that when we first put our house on the market I wasn't convinced that any agent was really going to justify the fees that would be paid to them when the property sold based on the work involved on their part. Having worked closely with Phil and Peter through the sales process, as well as onward purchase, I can honestly say that they earned every single penny and then some. These guys are in a different class to any estate agent I've ever dealt with before. They have a first class approach to everything they do, and most important of all you can tell they absolutely love selling houses for their clients. The dishonesty and insincerity was very disappointing.
We called on Saturday to inquire about a rental property. We stressed that we are very happy with the property and will take it as soon as the landlord has confirmed the one question we had about the property.
We were told that there are currently no interests which is why we didn’t immediately press for a viewing since we have already decided to take the property. We mentioned multiple times that we are willing to pay upfront of 6-12 months to secure the property.
Your staff took our contact information and informed us that she will contact the landlord as soon as possible. Since we are abroad, we provided our email and she made sure that she will contact us as soon as she got in touch with the landlord.
We did not receive an email on Saturday, Sunday or Monday. We called around noon on Monday to follow up only to find that the house has already been taken.
We were ready sign the contract immediately once we received an answer from the landlord.
When we asked why we never received an email confirmation or updates from the landlord, it turns out our contact information was never registered in the system.
In addition, there was a house viewing on Sunday that we were not informed of when we called on Saturday. We asked when the reservation was made, the staff initially said Saturday then immediately “corrected” herself to Wednesday after we confronted that when we called that day to inquire about any other interests in the house we were told there were none.
We did not receive a sincere apology for the mistake that your company has made. This is unacceptable and we are very disappointed in your service.

My previous experiences with Estate Agents have not been great but Phil, Chelsie, Peter and the whole SBK team were brilliant.
Their key strength is professionalism and communication - keeping us informed all the way.
Once we'd got an offer on our house, in the past our experience was that's when you don't hear anymore from Estate Agents as they consider it job done.
Totally not the case with SBK. From the start to finish of our house sale our customer journey and experience was top notch. We were treated as individuals and were never given the brush off.
So much so that even our buyer commented on how good SBK were at keeping them in the loop too!
Definitely a case of being worth every penny.
I'm also a great believer in supporting local businesses as opposed to large multi national faceless organisations.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them - even their For Sale signs are superior to the others in terms of eye catching colours!

We recently sold through SBK. Our old house went on the market in September, accepting an offer beginning of October and completing on the 17th December. This was an extremely quick and painless process, especially considering we were in the middle of a chain too.
A lot of this I put down to Chelsey who did a great job showing our house and getting people through the door, which resulted in the sale within a month and also to Peter, who really pushed the sale process through; chasing all the relevant people to achieve the ambitious timeline I set out of being in the house before Christmas.

I used SBK to handle the letting of my house from 2014, having been recommended by a neighbour. Keith was the manager in charge, he was highly professional and arranged a series of suitable tenants and speedily sorted out any issues which occurred, which gave me complete peace of mind.
When I decided to sell the house in 2019, I was so impressed by SBK that I used their services again. Phil managed the sale and once again I could not have asked for better service. He managed to obtain the asking price in a difficult market. He even had to tolerate and resolve some issues which occurred during the sale and could not have been more helpful.

Superb service from SBK. We purchased our first home through them six years ago, the service we received at the time, as first time home buyers, was excellent.
We then turned to SBK when looking to sell the same house, they did not disappoint, selling our house quickly for the full asking price.
If you live in the local area and want an estate agency that you can trust, offering knowledge, advice and professional customer service, then I would advise calling them.

Extremely unprofessional company.
I made an offer of the full asking price but then had the estate agent complained that the Surveyor recommended by my Solicitor would take too long and persuaded me to use one recommend by him.
I specifically asked if there were any restrictive covenants and was told no but there is and no business can be from the address or alter the exterior.
The estate agent arranged the survey but failed to inform the Surveyor that 180 houses are soon to be built close to the property.
The Survey showed that the house had been neglected and required a lot of repairs, some of which were urgent.
The agent was not at all happy about the Survey and I became victim to his tantrums.
He would not permit me to have a second viewing of the property of allow me to have professional quotes done to ascertain how much the works would cost. He was adamant that all the works could be done for eight-thousand pounds even though he had no evidence to back that up. The Surveyor said that the house stands to lose fifty-thousand pounds plus the cost of all the works yet the agent would only reduce the price by eight-thousand pounds.
He ranted down the phone at me. He put the house back on the market without informing me or answering my emails.
All in two days!
He has cost me thousands of pounds in survey, search and legal fees and I will be informing the ombudsman.
