I chose these guys after speaking to every estate agent on Borehamwood High Street and was very happy with the decision. They sold my house within one week for more than any other agent was willing to list for and never took their foot off the gas in the three months it took to complete the sale and purchase. They worked tirelessly to hold the chain together, even when our buyer later dropped out due to a failed mortgage application they found another buyer within hours. My experience using Simmons has been a positive one even though they did not manage to get a buyer for me at this time. We've had plenty of viewings despite it being a difficult market. They are scammers will scam you of your money I’m not the only one saying this look through other reviews for more info, get more information about them before going with them trust me you will change your mind
To add to all this It’s a family run estate agency so if you have a problem with a staff member or a staff member being rude (which they all are) good luck tryna get help , family sticks up for family disgusting ( I have been racially profiled by them nothing was done because the staff member was family disgusting)
Should change your name from Simmons to scammers would make more sense
I have a family of 40 peoples each one with two account will make them all leave a review till this estate agency is left with 1.5 stars that way my messages will be heard and no one will ever do business with them (well not at least after reading all the reviews on Google) or get scammed by them

They had me under offer in a week. My property was on the market with 2 agents for 3 months and I didn’t have any offers. Simmons sent me a letter and said they could sell it, so I called and had David over. After my notice with the other agents expired, they had 2 offers on my house within 3 days. So happy and I moved out shortly after

Happy to recommend this estate agency Simmons estate.
I bought and sold through Simmons last year and I have to say it was a joy to deal with them. I really liked the fact that I was informed all the time what is happening. Another good point was that they always answered their phones within few rings unlike other companies I know.
The best thing with them was that they sold our house very quickly and for the correct price. Other agents wanted to either go in low or give us fake high price. I trusted Simmons estate the most and made a good choice with them.
Buying process was smooth too even so the seller was bit of a player but they still managed to pull it off.

I rented an apartment in Borehamwood through Simmons Estate over 3 years and I can say they are probably the best estate agents I have ever dealt with. Excellent customer service, prompt response and very friendly staff. I certainly enjoyed the relationship, there was never a time I felt left alone when I had an issue to be resolved in the property. Highly recommended.

The young agent in charge on Saturday, dressed in suit and tie did not make any effort to greet me and my friend when we stepped into the office to enquire about a letting property advertised on the shopfront. He just sat down at his desk and did not show any interest to answer our enquiries. Poor customer service, snobbish and not professional at all.
We left and we went to other property agents nearby. We were very impressed with the agents from Barkers and Haart as they took us seriously and we were not only greeted with open arms by the agents but also, we were given great treatments by the agents (i.e. attend to all of our enquiries, being served with cups of tea/coffee/water, provided us with additional information about the properties in the area, etc).

Really top service from David and his excellent team.
They have proven themselves to be the best estate agents I have ever sold a house through.
Clear communication , loads of first class viewings with potential buyers very well vetted ( so no time wasters ) and had multiple buyers lined up for us. In the current market that is incredible work.
We were with another estate agent for 6 months before Simmons and the first agent just didn’t deliver. They had their own agenda , didn’t keep us informed and didn’t even get us a single offer. We sold with Simmons within the first month with them so , if you feel stuck in your attempt to sell I urge you to swap to Simmons. You won’t regret it!
They know the Borehamwood market well , they achieved an excellent price for us , more than we expected and they managed the whole process , keeping in touch with both sets of solicitors and pushing things along for an excellent result.
If Carlsberg did estate agents...Simmons are probably the best in the world. Easily the best in Borehamwood.

We went with an online & a number of local high street agents and David & Ollie at Simmons got us more viewings by real buyers than anyone else. They were very proactive in finding us buyers and didn't just rely on their advert on Rightmove as so many other agents did. Within weeks we had asking price offers from 3 well placed buyers. David & Ollie managed our buyer after our first purchase fell through and we couldn't have been happier with their service. We'd recommend to anyone wanting to sell their property.

This agency has allowed my family to move into a property without a valid gas safety certificate. We moved in August and were chasing the landlord and agency for months until it was finally done 3 months after we moved in which is extremely illegal.
The agency and landlord together have also failed to register our security deposit to a certificate deposit scheme, which means our money is sitting in the landlords account at free will which is completely unacceptable.
The two main 'must haves' for an agency to comply with legally is to
1) Make sure the property is gas safe for their tenants to move in as should anything happen to us then the agency as well as the landlord are jointly and severely liable.
2) Make sure that our deposit is protected in a authorised scheme. They have failed to do this and I am shocked at the whole process delivered by both the landlord and agency. T
he agency happen to assume that as we have moves in that this has nothing more to do with them, however they are naive to understand that they are completely liable for what happens with us as they are the agents that allowed us to move into this property and also have provided us with their contracts. Please read this and make sure that the same does not happen to you.
