We recently sold our house with Slater Hogg & Howison Stirling and we cannot recommend them highly enough . We had originally put an offer in for a property which we were unsuccessful with but the whole process with Gareth Muir (Senior Valuer) appraising our home and the arranging of the mortgage very quickly through Craig Petty (who is an independent broker but has his office at the rear of the Stirling branch ) we knew immediately with the high standard of service we had received that when we found another property to buy we would only use Slater Hogg for selling our home. Gareth was very friendly,helpful and professional and gave us a concise and accurate valuation . The whole process of selling was made so easy for us . The Surveyor and Photographer were all very quickly appointed and were again friendly,professional and efficient . Janice McIvor ( Senior Retail Manager ) is highly experienced in sales and her advice , support and reassurance was invaluable . Her team ( Nicola , Jennifer )arranged viewings to minimise disruption for us and this was very much appreciated . Thank you so much to everyone at the Stirling branch . I have been using SHH to manage my properties in Stirling for several years and would recommend them to others looking for a fully managed service. Nikki Kaur is my portfolio manager and is fantastic; always available on the end of the phone to talk through options and keep me updated via email of any developments. No property is without the occasional snag and SHH have always been prompt to respond with any issues raised by the tenant, investigate them, then report back to me with estimated costs and timeframe for repair. As we all know it can often take a few days to arrange a tradesman or engineer to attend a property, however, I am often pleasantly surprised at how quickly issues are addressed using their list of trusted contractors. I know Nikki, Lisa and the team work hard to ensure my responsibilities as a landlord are fulfilled, whilst also ensuring my tenants are comfortable in my properties which is important to me. I will be honest and open with this review Nikki Kaur our property manager has been fantastic with dealing with repairs and has been friendly, approachable and always happy to help I will say, there are times where repairs/upgrades to the property, could be dealt with slightly quicker, of course this isn't Nikki's fault, if it's a repair that is something we can't live without like heating/hot water/oven/bathroom/electrics/gas These things need to be fixed ASAP urgently, I understand there would be procedures and approvals and they take time, but it's frustrating when we don't receive an update and we have to constantly chase contractors ourselves... We moved from the United States and had a difficult time finding a flat to let. My family of 4 and our cat were living in a hotel. We stopped into the office and right away Lisa took all our details and contacted a few properties that fit our needs. When one property would not rent to us because we have a cat or a property was not available for a month Lisa found a property for us to view right away. Amanda worked so hard on a Saturday to show us the property. Amanda and Lisa were so helpful through the background check process. They were in constant to let us know what the next steps were. What can I say about SHH? In less than three weeks I've gone from viewing a property to documentation to moving in without a hitch. Throughout it all I was lucky enough to be guided by Amanda for the viewing and Lisa for everything else. Whether I had a question about the boiler or the deposit Lisa was on hand to reassure me - always replying with speed, accuracy and a smile to boot.
