James helped us sell our 3 bedroom home in Hackney in the tricky market climate of 2023 - in fact, after one week of viewings, we received three offers, and were able to accept one for full asking price. The sale has now completed with happy purchasers and sellers both. Before putting the house on the market in 2023, we rented the property with Sovereign house for two years. Again, when we began viewing, we quickly had four offers from potential renters, and were able to accept the full rental price from wonderful tenants, who rented with us for two years. Lisa and the Property Management team looked after tenant and landlord both well, and made what was a daunting undertaking manageable and successful. House buying and selling is so stressful, having James at your back was a relief. We felt our home was marketed and sold well, and we were communicated with well all the way. Awful, please avoid at any cost.
We arrived at the flat and found it in horrible conditions.
For this reason we had to hire professional cleaning to make it liveable.
The agency clearly stated in our email exchange that they were sorry about this and for this reason we did not have to perform professional cleaning before leaving the flat.
Result? They asked us 500 POUND!!!
Furthermore they promised us a dishwasher was present, since it was not there they agreed to allow us to sell one of the fridge in the house. Result? They asked money for it and we had to negotiate to solve it.
Please avoid it at any cost, they are only after some easy money

They are really responsive and make sure the issues are addressed quickly (questions to landlord, contract updates, paperwork, boiler issue...). Even after we left the flat, they were still keen on helping us with forgotten mail in the letter box and other matters due to the moving out, when they obviously didn't have to. I have recently received a really poor service from this agency. After becoming interested in a property to let a few weeks ago I was unable to reach the agency by phone or email despite the fact that they were still operating over lockdown. When I finally managed to reach someone they didn't seem to care that I had been struggling to get a hold of anyone for over a week. The agent then told me to send an email with my offer for the flat; to which I received no response. I called the agency once again and left a message with another agent but again no one contacted me. My offer was serious and I made it clear I was prepared to take the steps to secure the flat asap - to receive no response via email or phone after putting an offer on a flat is an absolute joke and incredibly unprofessional. I have since complained to the agency but again (no surprise there) no response. Poor, unprofessional, flippant and frankly a joke of an agency.

We rented a property through these crooks a few years ago. After 4 months in the property we were told the landlord wanted to sell the property and we had two months to leave. The landlord was not selling! They told the landlord we hadn't paid rent! I sent them my bank statement with the amount going out each month on time and they dismissed it saying well he wants the property back! Then when we moved out they tried to take all of our deposit citing loads of issue that were already in the property when we moved in. Lucky we had a independent check in/out company and they sided with us saying it was a totally bogus claim! They are total crooks! And should be ashamed of themselves taking money from innocent people!

Slow and untrustworthy in my opinion, this is down to a number of interactions with various members of staff, explicitly one called Jimmy who tried to get me to pay search and tenants fees despite having come to an agreement with the landlord and then LIED about it by saying that other prospective tenants would be seeing the property. I believe naming and shaming is appropriate given the role agents play in the housing market. Other members of staff were slow on the uptake and the first guy who showed us around soon left the company and corroborated our concerns afterwards.

I wouldn't trust sovereign estates with any important transactions. They cancelled multiple viewings, misplaced a set of keys, and frequently ignored my communication. After alot of wasted time and plenty of false hope generated, we got no closer to a deal.
